The walking tour goes at a good pace to cover a wide area but slow enough to also stop, think and take photos. Good value for money and well organised the tour takes you through the main streets in Bushwick and Jeff explains the background behind many of the pieces. Ok tour but it was nothing as described. One graffiti stop. Nothing else. The tour was a very basic historical/socio economic tour. Nothing about the neighbourhood being cool or artistic. Maybe 5 mins total was spent talking about artists that performed here. Hate to break it to you but the rest of the world knows the us has issues with poverty and garbage healthcare system. Nearly everywhere has issues with gentrification. Making a tour 100% about that when it's completely mismatched with the description is false advertising. ONE graffiti art spot. Not much sense preaching to tourists about unaffordable housing for 2 hours. read more

2017 We took a water taxi over to Brooklyn for this tour. I wish I would have written the review at the time. We all picked something we wanted to do on our vacation. This was my daughters, she is very artistic and loves graffiti art. This tour did not disappoint. We met our tour guide at Wyckoff-Star coffee shop at 10:30. You can get there early and grab a coffee to go or there is a great deli/store next to it. We all had a delicious sandwiches. Now off on our tour, I wish I remembered our tour guides name. He had so much information on the history of the area and the artist. It was a great two hours spent. My daughter wanted pictures in front of some of her favorite art, so we had to wait for people to move and we kinda lagged behind. Not their fault, just wanted to mention they have to keep things going. I recently went on a tour with Jeff and absolutely loved it. To be honest, it exceeded my expectations. First of all, information you will need are available on his website, Meet at 11:45am in front of "169 North 7th St (between Driggs Ave & Bedford Ave) Brooklyn, NY 11211 This a walking tour in Williamsburg, Brooklyn given every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 12:00pm. Its length is approx. 2.5 hours and the price is $32.00 per person." Jeff is a Brooklyn native and graduated from Brooklyn College. He is definitely very knowledgeable about the culture at Brooklyn. He had tons of stories to share with everything. We started off the tour with a visit to an old church, which is in the process of transforming to a luxury residential building. We also visited several mural sites. We stopped by a chocolate factory as well, along with a stop at a local bar. He had interesting pictures to share with everyone and had a big smile on his face the whole time. My group was small. There was about 8 or 9 of us. I arrived 5 minutes prior to starting time and I was afraid I would be too late. But fortunately for me, Jeff spent a good 15 minutes talking and getting to know everyone at the beginning of the tour so that was helpful. Unfortunately I didn't pay attention to the length of the tour until the night of. I had agreed to meet up with another friend immediately after the tour. I had to leave a bit early and didn't get a chance to go to the waterfront area with everyone else. Jeff did inform everyone that the tour normally ends at a park where you can take the East River Ferry back to 34th street of the city. I did the Brooklyn- Flatbush Avenue tour and it was informative and fun! Being of Caribbean decent, and residing in the Flatbush area for the past 7 years, I'm very familiar with many of the stops along the tour, but I benefit ted from a through historic review of each of the stops, which made me view the things I see daily in a different light. Our tour started at the Flatbush Caton Market, an authentic hub for all things Caribbean, where each person received a souvenir Caribbean flag of their choice. We then walked all the way along Flatbush Avenue to the corner of Albermarle Road. Some of our stops included the Flatbush Dutch Reformed Church, Erasmus Hall High School and the Lowes Kings Theater. Jeff, our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable about the historical/cultural fabric of the Flatbush Community. The tour ended with a delightful lunch and refreshments at a Golden Crust restaurant. Graffiti tour is a fraud. Its not a real tour business. Be aware. I purchased two tickets through groupon for nineteen dollars each. For over two weeks i plan this tour for my boyfriend because he is an graphic artist so i thought he would enjoy it. So today was the tour but when my boyfriend and i got there, there was no tour guide or anyone showed up for the tour that i paid for. I called the 347 number several times but there was no anwer no one had the decency to even call. I finally got tired of waiting at that park(maria Hernandez) so my boyfriend and i left. Two hours later they texts me saying it was a glitch or mistake they made. They put in for next years date(Apeil 27, 2020). Reallly. They said that they will reimburse me with my money back and a free tour. I said i do not want any thing to do with the graffiti tour or alex group. I just want my money back or i will get the authorities involve with this fraud. They haven't answered my last text. Be aware people who ever is reading this. read more

Did the graffiti tour. The area is fantastic but I thought the tour was just okay. Didn't think the guides added that much to it. You can as easily google Bushwick Collective to read about the area and/or some of the artists. But the tour is not that much, so it's not like you'll feel cheated of your money. read more

My wife and I went on the tour of Williamsburg. Jeff was our tour guide and he was great. We are from NYC and we still learnt a lot of things from him. It was amazing to see how over time things change. The tour starts right near the L train. It lasted for exactly 2 hours. I recommend speaking to Jeff and ask him questions while the group is walking. You can learn a lot more stuff from him as he is very knowledgeable. I took the Flatbush Caribbean tour. What i liked was that it was not a packaged style tour. It was more like walking through a neighborhood with a well-informed local person and getting to meet lots of people along the way: shop keepers, and people who lived in the neighborhood. You heard their stories: where they came from and how long they lived there. We visited the old Dutch Reform church, Barbara Streisand's and Sylvester Stallone's high school, and a lot of other places. The tours cost $39 and ours included lunch and a small gift from one of the shopkeepers: a Bob Marley wooden guitar key chain. My partner and I took the Brooklyn Unplugged tour in Flatbush a few weeks ago. It's definitely not a normal tour, but I mean that in a good way. It's very hard as a tourist to get into the skin of a community and unplugged tours actually achieves this. I'm not going to give away too much about the tour but go with an open mind, talk to the people you're introduced to, ask as many questions as you can think of.
