Despite my fiancé's repeated efforts to communicate, cooperate, and provide documentation supporting his concerns for his son's well-being, he has consistently been portrayed as the problem. From my perspective, important information has been minimized or overlooked, leaving us feeling that our concerns were never genuinely heard. It has been incredibly frustrating to watch someone who is supposed to advocate for the best interests of a child dismiss concerns that we believe deserved serious consideration. As someone who has been directly involved and witnessed this process firsthand, I have lost confidence that our family has been treated fairly. Families deserve to feel heard, respected, and confident that all relevant information is being considered. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience. By the time I wanted to get another lawyer, it was too late and ended up hoping for the best. She was always unprepared for court which was acknowledged by the commissioner a few times. At the end she made decisions without checking with me . She allowed the other side to turn in their version of the settlement agreement after confirming that she was working on it before the final court date and I was forced to sign the paperwork if I didn't want to have to start all over. She did not advocate for me and decided to drop me and force me to sign a substitution of attorney the day before our last day of court. Very irresponsible.
