The only appointment that started on time was my initial consultation, when I was still deciding whether to become a patient. Every appointment after that was delayed by several hours, usually 4-5 hours, and often rescheduled one or two times before it even happened. Before my surgery, I had an implant selection appointment. I rushed there straight from the airport without eating or sleeping because I thought it was important to arrive on time. I had no idea that the clinic was never on schedule. When I finally saw the doctor, I was given only a few minutes to choose my implants because everyone was in a hurry. This is a decision I will live with for many years, and I did not feel I was given enough time to make it carefully. On the day of my surgery, I was instructed to arrive early in the morning. When I got there, the clinic was still closed, and I had to wait outside for 20-30 minutes. My postoperative care has been especially disappointing. Since my surgery, I have only had one postoperative examination, and it was performed by a nurse. Every other follow-up appointment has been delayed, canceled, or rescheduled. On multiple occasions, I waited for hours only to be told that the doctor had left for the day and that I would need to come back another time. After one of these incidents, the clinic manager personally apologized and assured me that this would never happen again. She also promised to send me silicone scar sheets and scar gel as compensation for the repeated inconvenience. It has now been two months, and I have never received anything that was promised. Today was supposed to be my three-month postoperative follow-up. Once again, I waited for approximately three hours, no one showed up, and I was simply asked to reschedule for another day. This has become a pattern rather than an isolated incident. I understand that unexpected delays can happen, but this level of disorganization has continued throughout my entire experience. While I am genuinely grateful for my surgical outcome and appreciate my surgeon's skill, the clinic's scheduling, communication, follow-up care, and respect for patients' time have been extremely disappointing.

Both my friend and I had surgery here on different days, and both of us waited over two hours just to be called during pre-op. The receptionists were very rude and spoke very little English. My surgery was scheduled for 6:00 AM. I arrived right at 6:00, and the door was unlocked but the entire clinic was dark and completely empty. When I walked inside, the burglary alarm started going off. I immediately walked back outside and waited in case law enforcement showed up. Staff didn't start arriving until around 6:30 AM, which was very concerning. During pre-op they took photos, and they also took photos the day after my surgery. The issue is that my results look exactly the same as before the procedure, which is not what I was told to expect. I was told that about 40% reduction would occur, but instead it appears like no visible change at all. It has now been three weeks since my surgery, and I reached out to the doctor regarding the photo comparisons. I was told that many people require multiple sessions to achieve their goals. However, the concern is that there is no noticeable difference between my pre-op photos, the day-after photos, and my current results three weeks later. After this experience, I did deeper research and found that others online have reported similar concerns, and there are several negative reviews describing comparable experiences. Because of how concerning this experience has been, I will also be documenting and sharing my experience on my blog, as well as on Reddit and Facebook, so others can be aware and make informed decisions before choosing this clinic. Most men are afraid to share with others - especially strangers - that they have had "work" done. I am not one of them. I met Dr. Lisa Learn through a patient/friend who had undergone a cosmetic surgery procedure. A fellow gastric bypass patient, my friend underwent an abdominoplasty - or tummy tuck - procedure. She looked great and I wanted to look great as well. In desire of ridding myself of extra skin following a 160-pound weight loss, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Learn at her Fort Lauderdale office. It was an initial consultation to determine whether my insurance company would consider such procedure medically necessary. Initial consultation went great. I met Dr. Learn and her assistant - Teresa - to discuss options. I provided medical records and photos were taken for submission to insurance. As a guy who has never "cared" for his "looks," I took advantage of the consultation to discuss my face - specially around the eyes and jaw/cheek area. I was not happy with what I thought were droopy eyelids and sagging cheeks. Dr. Learn agreed, basically stating that the cheeks/jawline "issue" were the result of massive weight loss. As for the droopy eyelids, it was explained as part of the natural aging process. Long story short, I decided on several procedures to immediately improve my "look." Blepharoplasty - surgery for my upper eyes; and "Profound" - a laser non-surgical procedure to tighten up my cheeks and jawline. Voluma XC and Bellafill would thereafter be considered as dermal fillers. All procedures would be performed in the office with local anesthetic. Surgery day came and went before I knew it. First the blepharoplasty, then the "Profound" laser treatment. With my eyes, I could see an immediate improvement. As for the cheeks/jawline, Dr. Learn had fully explained that an improvement would not be seen for several months. Over the next few months, I had a number of "follow-up" visits with Dr. Learn. During these visits, I received both Voluma XC and Bellafill - which I learned was a relatively new dermal treatment that not only stimulates collagen growth - but could last for five years. As for abdominoplasty, my insurance company denied benefits and I decided to "self-pay" for the procedure. Thereafter - and only hours before the scheduled procedure - I chickened out and cancelled surgery. I'm not sure if it was peer pressure not to have the procedure or the "possible" six-week healing process. My "look" has changed to the point that I cannot reuse old social media photos. I initially paid $250 for my consultation, which was separate from the procedure fee. I then paid $250 to reserve my surgery date, followed by the remaining $5,750 balance. The day before my scheduled surgery, the practice canceled my procedure, telling me that I would be better off having it performed in a hospital setting. I had already received the appropriate medical clearance, including clearance from a cardiologist, and was not given a satisfactory explanation for the last-minute cancellation. Since then, I have been trying to get my money refunded. I was told I needed to complete a refund form, which took several weeks to generate. I signed and returned the form on June 29 and was told I should receive my refund within approximately a month. It has now been two months, and I still have not received my refund. Despite numerous emails, I continue to be told that they are "waiting for the paperwork to go through," without any clear explanation of what that means or when I can actually expect my money. What is particularly frustrating is that I am now being told that I will only receive $5,750 of the $6,000 I paid. The reason given is that the $250 surgery-date deposit is nonrefundable. I find that extremely difficult to understand because I did not cancel my surgery -- the practice canceled it. I paid that $250 specifically to reserve the surgery date, and because the practice canceled the procedure, I should not be penalized by losing the deposit for a date that they themselves canceled. At this point, it is not simply about the $250. It is about the principle, the lack of communication, and the amount of time it has taken to return money that I believe should have been refunded promptly. This review is not intended to criticize Dr. Berman personally, but rather to share my experience with the practice and how my cancellation and refund have been handled. I expected better communication, professionalism, and accountability. I sincerely hope this is resolved and that my full $6,000 is returned, but based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend this practice.

6 years and change update!!!…read more Is it conceited to say I think Dr S did his best work on me? Maybe? I don't even care- my tits are that good. Mental health might be trash sometimes, diet needs work, personal relationships are sometimes struggling, but boobs?! Man those are locked in and ready to go. I've no issues or complaints. Every person I've ever met including my boyfriend is shocked they're fake. The scar is so minimal and hidden. I run, do Pilates, and lift, with no issues except that I look ridiculously sexy all the time. Ugh to have boobs this good-- so much attention, so many free drinks, trips, dinners! Obviously I'm straight up clown shoes but for real- dr S is my miracle worker. I refer everyone I can to him. He changed my life for the better.
