When I arrived, I noticed that there was ample parking spots all around the building. When I entered the suite for the dermatologist office which is 116, I was greeted by the two wonderful ladies at their front desk. Because I was a first time patient there was some quick paperwork, all done on an iPad and then payment of my co-pay. The waiting are, and exam areas were spotless! This place was clean, organized and smelled fresh. I waited no more than five minutes before I was quickly taken into the exam room. I was asked a few questions about my health, my skin, and basically what brought me in for the visit. The medical assistant who is helping was also very patient and friendly. The one thing that stood out immediately was how friendly all of the staff members are. After a few short minutes of being in the exam room, the doctor came in and introduced herself. We spoke a little bit about my skins history and what procedures I was getting done before. She gave me some recommendations of other facilities in Fort Lauderdale that handle the specific type of issue that I was visiting for. She also recommended the same procedure that I was receiving from a different physician many many many years ago when I lived in New York. I really appreciate the fact that they did not try to force anything on me, or get me to do something or try something that they were not comfortable with let alone I was not comfortable with. The doctor was confident enough to give me information for a different office in Fort Lauderdale that can handle my situation way better than she can, but she also still offered the same procedure in office while I was there. The bottom line here is you rarely go to a doctor's office these days where a doctor will truthfully tell you what they think or what they feel or even refer you to go somewhere else for treatment that they know they truly cannot handle. Honesty like that for a medical professional is rare these days. I ended up getting a treatment done same day, and I have an appointment for one month to come back for a follow up. I think that for now I'm going to stay coming to this office because I felt comfortable, I felt heard and the staff made you feel welcomed and not judged. Dr. Julian and her staff are wonderful.

There are three MDs but the PA Beena Jacob is excellent and not a "maniac cutter" like found in some dermatologist offices. The waiting room feels like that old drama show on FX called Nip/Tuck which displayed a relaxed elegance. The product shop is open next to the waiting room to browse and make purchases. Most of the items are intriguing but not inexpensive - search Amazon first. Although, the scented candles and soaps were colorful and custom shaped for a reasonable price. I got repeated reminders that my yearly check was overdue, only to make an appointment 6 month too early (I am sure I'll have to pay for it too). They screwed up my mail in prescription and repeated calls to fix the mistake were not returned, in fact they made the problem worse. I was told to call the doctor to discuss some test results - that was over two months ago and that call wasn't returned either. So I guess go there if it's convenient to you or if it's the only place that accepts your insurance; otherwise, look elsewhere.

I do not recommend Z-Roc dermatology as anything more than a med spa for Botox and fillers…read more My last review mentioned complications that, at the time, I was put at ease for. Well those complications got worse and were never addressed by the doctors here. I had a cyst removal that turned into a giant scar causing years of consequences. I immediately tried to address this issue but was told it would be fine. It was not fine and turned into an unsightly and painful scar. After visiting for follow ups, I was completely ignored. The doctor did not conduct two layers of stitching, which is common practice. Considering this, the wound completely ripped open because there were no protective stitches under the skin to reinforce the wound. I was never told to come in for a stitching fix, but instead wait and see how it heals. Multiple plastic surgeons I've been to since said that they would have fixed it immediately. I could not be more upset with this office and how everything was handled. At the time I did not have health insurance and paid a lot out of pocket for this. If I had known my treatment would be handled so incompetently, I would have went to a plastic surgeon. I would not recommend Z-Roc for anything medical or dermatology related, and would suggest another dermatologist or plastic surgeon.
