My dentist took X-rays in June and September and he couldn't see anything. I was not in pain but the tooth just had a weird sensation. My dentist explained that Dr. Ginzler had a microscope and a certain X-ray that was not available in my very well equipped and modern dental office. Uh-Oh. This can't be good, I though to myself. I had a consult with Dr. Ginzler, and he brought me into a room to view the X-rays. He explained what had happened, which matched up exactly with what I had experienced. He showed me my X-ray and another X-ray for comparison. He makes sure you understand everything. He's very patient and speaks with a soothing demeanor. It was reassuring. Nobody is without anxiety about having a root canal. He understands this. Anyway, to wrap up: had the consult on 10-9, had the root canal on 10-12. Absolutely zero pain. None. Not during and not after. That night I couldn't even tell I'd had anything done. He is a really cool guy and an expert at his craft. His office staff was "on it" every step of the way. Pleasant, efficient and didn't need anything from me except my insurance card. They 100% handled everything which is always appreciated. I hate having to deal with my insurance company on my own, and I didn't. First Class all the way. Can't say enough good things. Not one negative.

Dr. Tulcan, who performed the procedure, was so calming and gentle, explaining everything, answering all my questions, and making sure I was comfortable at all times. Again, and I know this is hard to believe, but I honestly did not feel a thing, other than a 1-second tiny pinch when getting the anesthesia. Read the other reviews and you will see that I am not alone on this. I was so nervous going in to the office, not knowing what to expect, and thinking that this would be a very painful experience, based on what so many people told me my whole life of their experiences with other dentists. However, when it was done, I could not have been more pleased. Hopefully, I will not need another root canal for the next 62 years of my life, but if I do, I will not hesitate to go back to Contemporary Endodontics. They are some of the nicest and gifted people and professionals that you could ever hope to meet! After going to see Doctors Tulcan & Firic, I guarantee that the expression "I would rather have a root canal", will have a whole new meaning. In addition, their office is beautiful, and they use the most sophisticated equipment, and all of the staff are so helpful, caring, and friendly. The only thing you will regret, is if you go somewhere else!

She immediately found time for me and turned what could have been a stressful situation into a seamless experience. In one day, she removed the damaged crown and had a new one made, bringing me back that same afternoon to fit it. Given that I travel frequently for work and was scheduled to leave town the next day, her responsiveness and efficiency meant everything. I've been a patient of Dr. Nudel for over 18 years, and this is the second time she has stepped in during an emergency and completely resolved the issue without delay. Both Dr. Nudel and Dr. Michele took exceptional care of me--professional, calm, and incredibly attentive throughout the entire process. If you're someone who doesn't love sitting in the dentist office, I can honestly say Dr. Nudel will change that. You'll feel comfortable, cared for, and confident you're in the best hands.

Dr. Kramer is 5-star! Been going to him for years, BUT, his new partner or whatever their agreement…read moreis, Dr. Boillot is a ZERO. If Dr. Kramer retires, I'm done with this office. Stay away from Boillot. I came in for a routine gum cleaning on a Saturday. I had no symptoms or issues, but, Dr. Boillot, was on patrol this Saturday, going from room to room, as the hygeniests were at work. I had no appointment to see the dentist. It was evident that Boillot was pushing her hygeniests to insist on taking X-Rays even when they did not want to. Deliberately trying to find something wrong to get new business. This was like taking your car in for an oil change and they do a FREE checkup and you walk out with a $1000 bill when they hunt to find something wrong. Sure enough. Without pain or symptoms, the hygeniest takes an X-Ray and Boillot "found" something wrong, basically about a $2000 job with crown and root canal. She showed me on the pictures that I was potentially getting close to a problem. BUT, THERE WAS NO PROBLEM. It was no different than the mechanic who brings you over to look at the brakes and says, "well, you may need brakes eventually." Point is, at this moment in time, I didn't need anything. There was no pain, no symptoms and no problem. Boillot wanted the job, but, I insisted on seeing Dr. Kramer because I trust Dr. Kramer and did not want to make an appointment with her. I went in to see Dr. Kramer and he went over the X-Ray, as well, basically echoing the statement in the paragraph above. He asked me if I was experiencing any issues and I said NO. It' would be a bit awkward, I'm sure, for Dr. Kramer to contradict his partner who says I needed a crown. Trusting Dr. Kramer, I was sent for root canal. I KNEW THIS WAS BALONEY when I got to see the root canal specialist. When I got in to see the root canal specialist, he looked at the XRay himself with me and was puzzled. "Is there any pain? Where does it hurt?" He agreed the nerve was getting "low" but there was nothing wrong. He shrugged his shoulders and said, "OK, if the dentist says to do a root canal, let's do it." And, he did. Touching a nerve that wasn't bothering me opened a rabbit hole. It was guesswork. The root was not bad yet and the nerve wasn't ready to be cut. A permanent crown was put on and now I experience slight occasional tingling and looseness and rare, a little uncomfortable minor pain. I went back to Dr. Kramer and basically he couldn't find anything wrong with his part of the work of cementing a new crown in place and was trying to avoid a "big deal" which it would be to fix it. The "big deal" only option would be to break up the permanent crown and send me back to the root canal guy to go fishing around to find where the "feeling" issue is coming from. I'm already in for about $2k total and the insurance is used up. So, either I live with some minor uncomfortable "feeling" or we have to go back and fix it. THERE WAS NOTHING TO FIX. THERE WAS NO PROBLEM. NO SYMPTOMS. NO ISSUES. While the nerve on the X-Ray may have seemed a bit low, it was not at the point of no return and maybe with cleaning and maintenance, it wouldn't get to that point for a long time. If it ever did get bad and I was in pain or the tooth was feeling loose, it would have been clear that there was an issue and I would go to see the dentist. The pain would be clear and isolated and there would be something to fix. Instead, we screwed around with something and created a problem that wasn't there in the first place. You don't tear teeth out and cut nerves in root canal without a reason. You don't do it for prevention. Prevention is gum cleaning by the hygeniest. I felt like the hygeniest was pushed into this by Boillot. At the car dealership, they get commissions for "finding problems" to get more work. Disgusting. Just disgusting.
