The Dr. and his staff were able to save an upper molar that had chipped and the filling fell out. It was pain free and I felt my self relaxing in the chair because of the outstanding chair side manner of the Dr and staff that made me feel like part of the office family. It's one of those first-name basis but they usually call you "Hon" or "Sweetie" type of practices. You NEVER hear them gossiping about or badmouthing patients as is very often the case when other medical practices. They genuinely seem to love their jobs. (I was once in the waiting room when a difficult patient was arguing a point ad nauseum and Dr. Nathalie never lost her patience, but professionally indulged this person for at least 10 minutes, remaining cordial and indulgent throughout.) Was a patient of Hands on Dental back in May of 2024. I found them through my insurance and they…read morewere local. When I called and made an appointment for an exam and x-rays, I was specific to make sure everything was covered by my insurance so that nothing would be out of pocket. Showed up for my first visit and the doors were locked, no phone call, no cancellation. Was told "sorry" the next day as they were still doing renovations. Ok fine another appointment set, when I entered the office I spoke to the office manager and made sure that what was getting done that day was covered by my insurance. He confirmed. During the visit they did the exam and the x-rays I came for, it was all kinda quick. I saw the Dentist talking with his assistant, I thought they were just going over what I needed done. Next they came back and started picking at my gums and writing #'s down for each tooth. I just thought this was part of the exam as nobody seemed to be waiting for an appointment after me. A week later when I stopped in go over the work needed, I find out I needed a deep cleaning, 2 extractions and a Nesped? The office manager went over the cost for these that my insurance would not cover. He then told me, if I paid CASH it would be less, they would work something out. (I have the papers with these figures to this day) I wanted to think about all this, left and 2 weeks later got a bill in the mail for $714.00 I told them what to do with that bill as I only came in for an exam and x-rays and all this was confirmed covered by insurance. Now 2 years later I am being hounded by a collection agency, I will never pay for this since nothing but the exam and x-rays were authorized by me. Do not trust them. They are SCAMMERS!
