My experience with Richard and crew was great at first, but of course that was when Richard was asking for payments when the job wasn't even 75% complete. After 35+ years, we've noticed some of our wood sidings and windows sill were starting to have wood…read morerot due to weather wear and lack of maintenace (previous owners never re-painted for it's first 20 years). So we were looking for a company which both paint and do carpentry work to fix all the wood rot around the house and paint afterwards. Our contractor friend, Lenny Sims, recommended Rich Goddard. He gave us a reasonable price for fixing the wood around the house/deck and paint all of the exterior. We were expecting some patch work but his Guatemalan crew (he has multiple) was very professional and very hard working. They washed the house, scraped off the paint in bad areas to expose wood rot where we didn't even notice, actually replaced the wood in many places and not just use wood filling, and then beautifully painted the entire exterior including gutters, door, windows, etc. When they finished, everything was cleaned up nicely. It was beyond our expectations and worth the cost. Our contractor friend said they are not cheap but can't be cheap with good quality. Definitely recommend their work. Beautifully done.

We had a great experience with Matt Construction. Every day they arrived and carefully laid down…read morepaper so that they wouldn't mark up the floor and then carefully took it up at the end of the day, really worked hard to make the house as livable as possible for us while the work was going on. The on-site manager, Jonathan, was great, and they gracefully and quickly responded to additional requests and changes of plans we requested, including entirely changing one of the windows. Even our neighbor reached out to tell us how nice and respectful they were and asked us how we found them. The answer is that I just saw that they were well-reviewed on Yelp, so I'm adding my review here too. Their pricing was very reasonable, and their work was exceptional. They replaced a shower system, which involved breaking existing tile and seamlessly re-tiling the affected section after the new shower was installed. During the process, they covered the opening with plastic so we could continue using the shower (even though it only took a couple of days). The re-tiled area blends perfectly with the rest of the shower (see attached pic). You'd never know it was repaired. They also repaired significant water damage from burst pipes, replacing and adding insulation and drywall, installed recessed lighting with dimmers, replaced a window and glass shower doors, swapped out an awkward set of swinging bathroom doors for a proper door, and took care of several long-overdue household repairs. Everything was completed quickly, quietly, and efficiently. If we ever need renovations in the future, we'll definitely be using them again.
