My only regret is I wish I would have discovered this place sooner. I moved up from Austin and for awhile, I kept making the trip down to Austin to get my haircut. I finally came across this shop on Yelp and I am so grateful to have something so close and the best barber service. They have four barbers and they are all excellent. I do have a favorite, but I have found they are all great. Sometimes I need my hair cut and cannot book the person I regularly go to. But they are all fantastic. Making a reservation is very easy through their website. You can try to do a "walk-in" but during the week they are usually all booked up. Saturday is only walk-in. But again, if you just visit their website, it is very easy to schedule an appointment. I am retired military so a barber cut is my preference. I tend to keep my hair short and they will cut it however you want regardless of length. And my favorite... a haircut just isn't complete without a nice neck shave! Personally, if the place doesn't do a neck shave, I think they shouldn't be called a barbershop. They are all very nice and conversational. If you are looking for the best place to get your haircut, book an appointment with them online and you won't be sorry. If you aren't sure to pick, I have gone to all four and they are all excellent. You shouldn't have any problem getting a great and timely haircut or beard trim here. I was even pleasantly surprised as I got a haircut that I haven't before and liked how it looked and felt. While the cut was great, I was disappointed for my first barbershop straight razor clean shave. Especially for the price. Although the experience was nice, I walked away with a few tiny red bumps and quite a few hairs that were missed. For $75 pre tip for the shave and haircut combo I was kicking myself for not getting the plain haircut. The chairs seem a little outdated as well , I am fairly tall and couldn't get comfortable for the duration of my appointment. I'm disappointed with the straight razor clean shave and probably won't be getting that at any barbershop again for some time. Me and my fiancé were scheduled to take engagement pictures Saturday so Saturday morning we went by and the place was packed. We decided to go try again around 3:30, we walked in and no one was there except the two men that worked there. We told them what we needed (just a simple shave to clean up his hair line) and they responded "sorry guys we are tapped out, we had a busy day. " I told them that we would pay whatever and that we were about to take engagement pictures in a few hours. He responded "we already put our instruments away." Wow! What an awesome barber experience! I wasn't looking for a new barber, but, I found one anyway. I visited this shop on a bit of a whim. This place is fantastic. Let me try and break down why I've found my new barber. The Cut First, the cut was excellent. This is why we go to barber's, right? Allan knows his stuff. The tapering was perfect. Everything blended nicely, even my sideburns into my shadow. The length on top isn't what I usually do, but, Allan did something that made it look much better than prior haircuts. He paid attention to some minor details of my hair when I came in and then accentuated those in the cut. Really quite brilliant. The Shop I love the shop. You walk in and you know you're in a barber shop. The shop is very clean. Cold beverages are available. And, the decor is let's you know that you're in and around Austin, Texas! The Experience Allan did my hair. One of the things I noticed is that before we even got started, while I was sitting in the chair, he came over and just talked to me for a few minutes. He wanted to know about me, where I'm from, what I liked, etc. He was genuinely interested in my story. Then we talked about my hair and what I preferred. He took the time to explain to me why, as I had mentioned to him, I received different cuts from different barbers when I gave them my "number" (I'm usually a 3.5 or 4). The guards are different depending on the brand of shears - I didn't know that. Because of that first interaction, it was easy to converse with Allan the rest of the time in the chair. We found connections that made the time fly by. Overall, one of the best barber experiences I've had. This is a place I'll return to over and again. read more

Went for the first time on Saturday when they only take walk ins. The place was packed despite the gorgeous weather, which told me these guys must be special. If that many guys were willing to wait more than an hour for a haircut, then it must be worth it. They make waiting as pleasant as possible, with free drinks and good conversation. The decor is bright and the place is spotlessly clean. I also noticed that despite the long line of people waiting for a haircut, both barbers took a considerable amount of time and care with each customer. There was a sense of pride in what they do in everything about this place. I received a fantastic haircut, and only regret that as a Virginia native I will only be able to give these guys more business when visiting the in-laws on Lake LBJ. read more

As a part time barber myself of long standing, I have very high standards with haircuts and shaves. Mickey is without question a true Master Barber with skills that few barbers have. He sculpted a perfect horseshoe flattop ( a haircut that very few barbers can cut) on me and gave a first class face shave! He will always be my go to barber when I am in the Austin Texas area.
