I had an appointment but was taken in earlier than the intended time for a brow wax and was not too impressed with my eyebrows. They were cleaned up nicely, but shaping wise it could have been better. I understand that I may have eyebrows that are a little harder to shape but a nail salon in Brooklyn park did better than when I went in to brow chic. Maybe they were having an off day... Previously I have gone to Blink in MPLS to get my brows threaded. I tried Brow Chic in Saint Paul bc it was closer, faster to get in for an appointment and less expensive. The women were nice and the appt was quick. The woman that threaded my brows did the threading, filled them with pencil and added gel before showing them to me. They looked fine and I understand that you get what you pay for. When I left I figured I'd go back to blink and use brow chic for fill in appts... until I washed my face. OMG. Without the makeup and gel these brows are pretty uneven and a bit of a mess. I'll have to fill them in until they grow back. I'd go back in and have them fixed but I'm a little afraid. I'll go to Blink from now on. 2 stars only bc the staff was friendly. read more

Based on personality, everyone at Brow Chic deserves 5 stars. They are fabulous people. That being said, I am horribly disappointed with the results of my service (I would give the results a 1 star but upped it to 2 because I loved the people). I had eyelash extensions put on at the NorthEast Minneapolis location. Overnight, a HUGE number of them had fallen off. I called and was able to get in to have Kae fix the situation the next day. They looked AMAZING. Really great. However, all but a couple lashes were gone within 10 days. Within 2 weeks, they were ALL gone. I used their recommended make up remover, did not put water on my face, did not sauna, did not exercise, did not cry, did not TOUCH my eyes other than to apply eye shadow (I did not even use eyeliner!) but they were completely gone. For $200+, I expected more than one week of nice eyelashes. read more

I ended up scheduling an appointment at this salon last minute for an eyelash extension fill. It was great that I was able to schedule an appointment with only a one day advance notice. I felt the location was easy to find and a plus that there were great shops nearby. The lash tech seemed knowledgeable and was kind of friendly. The atmosphere was modern with popular music playing. A few cons of my visit included; not feeling like I was welcomed as a new customer, not being asked about my previous experiences with eyelash extensions, not being asked about my preferences for a result, and not having options for the length of the eyelash extensions. I also found the price of 70.00 for a FILL to be quite pricey.. especially with my end results . read more

Surprised by all the positive reviews based on my first and only visit. But it seems like none of the others got threading, which is what I got. The eyebrow threading was not good. The lady who did it was horribly slow at it, felt like she was pulling out each hair one by one. And when it's that slow it's horribly painful. She took forever , it hurt, and my skin was all cut up and bleeding ( I get my brows threaded every three weeks and it's never felt so painful nor been so cut up before. From the other reviews it sounds like they do a great job with waxing so maybe try them for waxing but stay away if you get threading. Plus very pricey. I will not be returning. read more

I had my lashes lifted and tinted for the first time ever at BrowChic by Molly and she did awesome! The place was very clean and relaxing. I didn't have an issue with parking since my appointment didn't seem to be during a busy time (12:45 on a Monday). Here's why I took off a star: I went in for a false eyelash application as a "practice" before my wedding. I had sent them an e-mail before I went in, because I had never done this before and didn't know whether I should go with make-up on. The reply I received said that the lashes are applied before a make-up application (I double-checked), so I went in bare-faced. Apparently it is the opposite, you put your make-up on before the lashes. Total bummer, because I went home and tried to put make-up on over them and they all fell off. Should I have said something when I was there? Probably. Am I still going back to have lashes applied for my wedding? Absolutely. Even though the directions were incorrect, she did a good job with the application. Luckily it was only $15 so it wasn't that big of a deal. The location is awesome, and the space is darling. Staff are very friendly and are good at what they do. The payment process was pretty sweet too, they swipe your card and use an iPad for the whole thing, and they e-mail you your receipt. read more

Stupid Yelp filters. Stupid Yelp filters.....let's see if that get's my review out of the yelp filtering system...maybe not... I have finally found a brow place in MN where I'm willing to be a repeat customer. The studio is very quiet and relaxing. It's small; the "waiting area" a small space separated from the one brow bed/chair by french doors that are kept open. Kae was pleasant and professional (and looks kind of like Katy Perry). She asked me if I wanted to keep the thickness of my brows, but other than that she exuded confidence as she went to work waxing and snipping my brows into shape. Results: Best brows ever! Just the right thickness for me to not freak out with an actual noticeable shape. The true test was passed when later that day my sister, who didn't know I went and got my brows done, looked at me and said "Something looks good about you. Did you get your eyebrows done?". She was so impressed she started talking about getting hers done too which is doubly complimentary to Brow Chic as a) my sister has never gotten her brows worked on, and b) she'd be the first person to point and laugh it it'd been a hatchet job. I'm the type of beauty customer that wants to release control of the process to the professional and let them be creative, but at the same time expects that professional to know what they're doing enough to give me something that compliments me and not what is being shown in magazines or what everyone else is doing. I'm glad that I've finally found a brow professional that does just that......now if I only I could find a hair stylist and makeup artist that also does the same, then I'd be a happy camper. read more

First off, I am a freak about my brows... nothing defines your face more than beautifully shaped and groomed brows. I had been previously going to a different brow-centric place in minneapolis (equally amazing) but their hours are a little wonky and getting across the city to Minneapolis is less than ideal... well, last time I made the mistake of going to a regular salon for a brow wax and my brows were butchered.... Brow chic is definitely your go-to option for a really nice, clean brow experience. The shop is really cute and well decorated which makes you feel like you're getting a higher class treatment. It's also on a super cute block that has other shops and restaurants. Holly did a really nice, detailed job on my brows for threading and tinted them perfectly. It lasted about 4 weeks. The only reason I took off a star was the prices are steeper than you might expect. I just moved to the area from NYC and went to a beautiful spa there that had four locations and only paid roughly $30 for the whole tread/tint. Therefore, I wish the prices were a little less but it's worth going to for sure. Definitely recommend if you're not too worried about a little bit of a higher price point. read more

I came in having never had my eyebrows waxed and Kae was so helpful! She reshaped my messy eyebrows into a beautiful shape. I didn't leave with any redness or irritation; I was nervous about this part. I also got my first set of mink eyelash extensions. I was super nervous about this being that I have a monolid and the worlds shortest eyelashes. I wanted a better alternative than false lashes the day of my wedding and have to deal with glue and worrying they will fall off. The process was amazing. Kae explained what she was doing and it was very relaxing. I wanted full, fluffy lashes and I got just that. I'm in love with them! No more mascara and raccoon eyes from sweat. Best decision ever! I've never waxed my eyebrows before (or even tweezed) and Syreeta did a great job! Kept them looking like my brows but gave them a very precise clean-up and shaping. The skin around my brows was a little pink for 5-10 minutes at the end, but she touched up my makeup and the redness was gone even by the time I reached my car. I walked in and I greeted the front desk lady with a cheery hi. She looked at me, mumbled a hello and told me they were ready for me and pointed to a bed. I then gave Kasey, the woman who did my eye brows, a hello and she had no smile. Again, mumbled a hi. Barked at me to move to the end of the bed. I have no idea what was going on but that was the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Normally places like these are obnoxiously bubbly. These women were down right rude. They couldn't even ask how my day was going. Or comment on the weather! Something! As for my eyebrows, I almost cried when she was done. They were horrible. It looks so straight and flat. This is the first (and probably last) business review I've ever written, but when Syreeta asked me how I heard about them and I explained online, reviews, everyone mentioned her, etc, I thought if my experience is everything I hoped for I should write one as well. I explained to her my situation of like, no brows, and asked what she thought about a brow tint- she said that's what she was going to suggest. The whole thing was relatively painless and took less than a half hour! She's the sweetest and I feel so much better about my brows. Worth the steep price! read more
