I hardly ever get a car wash, so the menu was confusing to me and I couldn't find what I desired. I was trying to back out and the nicest attendant came over and helped me through the selection process. She even took my antenna off for me and told me that since my van was so dirty, if I felt that it didn't get clean enough, I could come back around and she would let me go through the wash again. 1 Star - Extremely disappointing experience. I had a very frustrating experience at the Brown Bear Car Wash location on Auburn Way S next to McDonald's and Domino's in Auburn. Before entering the wash, I pulled aside and spoke with one of the attendants because my vehicle had some pre-existing cosmetic damage on the front bumper. I wanted to be responsible and confirm that it would still be safe to go through the wash. The attendant looked at the bumper, reassured me that it should be fine, and one of the attendants even offered and placed blue tape on it before directing me forward. Based on that reassurance from staff, I proceeded through the wash. While inside the wash, it suddenly felt like my car may have come off track or run over something. I briefly had to switch gears because it felt like something had gone underneath the vehicle. At the time I did not know what had happened and assumed one of the cleaning cloths may have caught something. After exiting the wash, I pulled aside and spoke with Oscar, one of the attendants. He was the one who informed me that my bumper had come off during the wash and he went to retrieve it for me. From what I later understood, it appears the bumper detached near the air blowers toward the end of the wash. Oscar helped me submit a claim, and I later spoke with supervisor Dwayne at the location, who documented everything and said management would review the situation. Over the following days I repeatedly called for updates and was told several times that the manager was not available or not in. It took approximately three to four days before I was finally contacted and able to discuss the situation with the claims department and management, including Jack Halsey and Omar M. Despite the fact that their staff looked at the vehicle, taped the bumper, and reassured me it should be fine to proceed, the company ultimately denied responsibility and compensation while pointing to signage stating vehicles enter at their own risk. The issue with that response is simple. I did not just drive into the wash without asking. I specifically pulled aside to ask their staff for guidance first. Their attendants evaluated the vehicle, assisted with taping the bumper, and directed me forward into the wash. As a customer, it is reasonable to rely on the judgment of employees who are operating the wash and actively guiding vehicles using the directional paddles that signal when to move forward, stop, or place the vehicle in neutral. The damage from this incident is now estimated to cost several thousand dollars in repairs. I'm simply asking Brown Bear to take a fair and honest look at what happened. When a customer asks your staff for guidance and your staff reassures them and allows the vehicle to proceed, that responsibility should not simply be dismissed afterward. I hope Brown Bear chooses to review this situation again and do the right thing. read more

Visited the Brown Bear Car Wash in Auburn, Washington, and appreciated how spacious the pay tunnel was. There is less chance of side mirrors getting clipped or scratched, which is always a stress point at other locations. The team had employees scrubbing with brushes before the automated wash, a nice touch not found at every branch. However, the wash itself felt smaller than usual, and there were only a few vacuums available, which made things feel cramped. There's also no attached store or lounge area, so it's more of a quick in-and-out spot. One thing that stood out negatively was the employee at the pay tunnel who made a dismissive comment like, "You're not going to do an upgrade, right?" My first time here. The worst Brown Bear car wash location I have been. I told the guy that I want 16$ one (The best). After pulling my car in. The girl took the cleaner and wipe like 2 wipes in my windshield and 2 wipe on the rear driver side. She did NOT even wipe the right (passengers side) she barely moved to actually do her job. And this is the result of their lazy work after cleaning. I really like most of brown bear, but not this location. Please avoid if you dont want to waste your money on it. read more

I usually wash our vehicles at home and I avoid car washes due to the possibility of scratches on clear coats. 4x4s or trucks would utilize these drive through a and get mud or rocks I'm added in the bristles. I have two unlimited Beary Best Car Wash Memberships and I couldn't be any more thrilled! The attendants are always so nice and to top it off my car is always nice and fresh! I am more than appalled that I haven't been reached back out to by now, either by the district manager of Brown Bear Car Wash on Auburn South Way , by Jeff Ogren (I had left him 3 voicemails) and also the HR department who also has failed to follow up with me. Not one person has ever gotten back to me after an issue I have had as a customer last Saturday 12/19/17. Two months ago, I was nearly attacked and was abusively screamed at by two other customers; the onsite manager named Robin was also confronted by these angry customers. She called the cops and had the angry people leave. Despite having a horrible experience at this car wash, I still came back. Now, on 12/19/17 I was approached by Robin again. I gave her my sticker that was supposed to be put in my window, I handed it to her because I have one in the inside of my door and I don't want another sticker on my windshield. I have been doing this for months at multiple locations even this one with Robin; what I do is I hand to the associate my sticker and explain I don't want it on my windshield. The two months ago, Robin had taken it as is (my sticker) and it was not in my window shield and let me go through the car wash. Well on this day she told me no, I am supposed to have it on my windshield; I explained I don't want it there, and instead of giving back my sticker and saying she has to refuse me service and let me on my marry way, she instead takes it upon herself and says I am not giving this back to you. I explained that I pay monthly for this, and if I don't want it on my windshield then give it back to me and I will leave. She was very rude about it, didn't even give me the option and said no I am not giving this back to you. Well I called the police department because I feel like that is my property. Yes on the pamphlet it says they can cancel at any time my subscription, but nowhere does it state that they can keep my sticker that I pay for monthly. So a police officer arrives, gets my side of the story then goes to speak with Robin. Officer comes back and says this is a legal matter, Robin is taking her job way too seriously (I snorted and said yeah, like your job? He nodded). And the police officer told me with these exact words, "This is shitty ass customer service, ridiculous and laughable and I am sorry I cannot do anything. My advice to you is to not let this go unnoticed and keep up on this claim." So that is what I am doing and I am mortified that my subscription has been cancelled. I would've stayed with Brown Bear Enterprise years if given the chance to; that would have been thousands of dollars that I am taking my business elsewhere. I was treated horribly and no one is getting back to contact with me about this matter. I wish to escalate it and am looking into how I can do this. I am already on Yelp and I won't stop there. I would've felt somewhat better if someone at least got back to me instead of ignoring my complaint. Very unprofessional. read more

Recently went to Brown Bear car wash like I have for years. They have raised prices in the past year from $6 to $10 for basic wash. I used to wash my car every week but due to the unfair price increases I will probably change to every 2-3 weeks. They do a pretty fair job but the back of my suv is never clean I have to wipe it down. read more

My Greeter as they are called was Jasmine, she was nice and very cordial in helping me with all the bugs i had killed on the way from Texas to Federal way. She was very helpful helping me get my car clean and shined. I like the way the car moves through the cleaning machine and then you can use their towels and sprayer to get all the stuff off that may not have come off the car during the car wash. I totally recommend this place, if you want it perfect use their towels and get your car extra clean. Recommended!! read more
