They didn't have much in the way of service/amenities at this hotel, but the room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and a room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard was a plus. The area is beautifully landscaped with trees and flowers everywhere and they leave tables with umbrellas out so you can sit outside to enjoy the weather and share a bottle of wine. It was an overall nice stay and had a good, relaxing vibe. We will be back. Just don't plan to get here earlier than the 4 PM check-in time because they don't let you in early. We couldn't check into our room until almost 4:30 because it wasn't ready yet. Our evening got off to a little bit of a rough start because we had reservations at local restaurant and had plans to go to a concert. When I think small town restaurant attached to a hotel, this is not what I expected. It was better. The inside is rustic and clean. Nice and charming. The food was very good. All unique menu items I don't normally see. The bread was complimentary and delicious. We love to try fried mushrooms and these did not disappoint. They weren't over breaded and not mush from. YUM! My coffee was cold, my grits were cold, the waitress warmed them up and brought them back out and they were still cold so I sent them back again, my eggs were overcooked, I ordered them over easy and they came out hard! They had no jelly besides blackberry jelly for toast or biscuits. I didn't even eat my food. I just paid my bill and walked out. This review is for the restaurant. We were so pleasantly surprised by their menu, service and the overall experience here. We've visited the farmers market a couple times over the years but never stepped inside the hotel. We ended up having dinner here twice during a recent long weekend in Brown County. We appreciated that their back patio was dog friendly and featured large shade umbrellas. Two of my favorite items during the visits were the cabbage soup (so good that I could have made a whole meal out if it!) and the blackberry Brisket served with potatoes and broccolini. We also appreciated that they serve complimentary focaccia bread and olive oil to kick the meal off. You'll conveniently find a small trail on the back side of the hotel as well if you want to stretch your legs before or after feasting. The indoor ambience is a little less fun/interesting than the pack patio. Overall, a good experience. read more

I stayed here on a recent trip to the area-was only there about 9 hours and was too late to try the restaurant/bar. Overall, a good stay with clean and comfortable accommodations. One test to me when I stay somewhere is shower water pressure and water temperature and ours had both. I'll definitely look to stay there again the next time I'm in the area. read more

Great accommodations for a family reunion or get together. The place is well kept, the staff is very friendly and helpful and there are a number of activities on site to keep the kids entertained. This inn has a miniature golf set up, a shuffleboard area, a small kids' playground, tetherball and a big pool that is enclosed for the Fall and Winter seasons. (See pictures.) The pool area has garage door type openings that can be closed if the weather is cool (the enclosure is heated) or open during the summer months to let the breezes flow through. The rooms are adequate, nothing fancy. The Inn provides free Wi-Fi, but it is spotty in the rooms. We had to go outside to our patio area to get the internet to actually work. The bathrooms are small, but very clean. The walls can be a little thin as we heard the people next door playing guitar at 8am; however, it could be due to the connecting room door that made it seem louder than it should have been. We had breakfast in the restaurant on site and it was filling. The food and service were excellent. The brisket skillet was on point! Overall, a nice place to stay while visiting Nashville, IN. The downtown is just a few blocks away and the Hard Truth Distillery is right down the road in the opposite direction. read more

They clean the pool every night and do quality checks 6 times a day on the swimming pool. It is definitely the cleanest pool in Indiana. Best place to stay in Nashville. The people who own this amazing hotel are wonderful people who saved my life in a few different ways. Gave me a job when I was in need. Let me sleep in a un used room when I had no where else to go. My husband and I stopped there for dinner for a second time. First time was great the food the atmosphere and the service made us go back, unfortunately, the second time was not quite the same experience. Jill the bartender was absolutely rude and ignorant. She treated us and made us feel very unwelcome. She was not attentive. The bar area where we were going to sit was dirty, and she saw it and walked away. I had to ask her to please wipe it down and she gave me a dirty look. When she wiped it down she didn't seem very happy. She asked us what we wanted to drink, gave us our drinks and didn't looked back again. Didn't offer us a food menu until we asked for one and when she gave it to us, she slammed it on the bar. It wasn't because she was busy, she was very nice to everybody else except us. Maybe it was because I'm Mexican. Either way there's no reason to treat people that way you're there to provide a service and that kind of attitude should not be tolerated. We paid our tab and left didn't bother to order food. Every restaurant has a bad day. It happened to be my turn. We started with a complimentary Focaccia with Olive Oil. My husband had a cheese burger served with fresh French Fries and natural Ketchup. The burger was good and the fries were awesome! I ordered the Meatloaf and I was disappointed. The mashed potatoes were waterlogged and both the potatoes and the meat lacked seasoning. The best part of my meal were the green beans with ham. We had a lovely waitress, and the restaurant had a nice selection of craft beers. I highly recommend the Milk Stout, creamy and frothy dark beer. So, I had a bad meal at this restaurant, and it doesn't mean that it's not good. My husband's meal was good. This was our second visit to The Corn Crib Lounge. It was a Saturday and the place was packed. Although we had to wait on an empty table; it did not take long for the very hard working and attentive server to get a table put together. She cheerfully kept us updated on the status of the table. It always very important to know someone is working to get you seated. The bar fare is pretty extensive and very plentiful. Best of all it tastes amazing. Didn't expect that quality from a small tavern spot. The very highlight of the evening was the fantastic entertainment provided by a blue grass trio. No group name just first names of Allie, Roger and Sam. They had never played together before this night but were amazing. I hope to see them here again. read more

As locals that have been going 6 to 10 times a year for the past several years - the latest trip was by far the worst and probably our last. There was a 20 to 30 minute wait for the main dinning room so we sat at a table in the bar, which we've done before with no issues, other than uncomfortable seats. There were three servers, including the bartender to service about eight tables with patrons. Not too busy. It took 10 minutes to get our drink order and then another 15 minutes to get menus as others that came in after us, but served by different servers, all had drinks and appetizers. Finally we received the recently updated menu and a few of our favorite items had been removed from the menu. One being meatloaf, so my wife tried the beef Manhattan with greenbeans instead. Some of the beef was tough, and the green beans had several stems in them - like cheap canned beans, with hardly any taste. I asked the server if the drunken (cod) Fish came with hush puppies and she said yes. When the food arrived, they brought me catfish instead, and she said that the drunken fish does not come with hush puppies stating she must've misunderstood me. She said she would get me the correct order and I requested hush puppies at no charge which she agreed to. Nearly another 30 minutes goes by for the order to come out. By this time we're ready to go and disappointed in how long things are taking (we had also ordered a to go order during this time as well - which the server indicated should only take 10 minutes or so...) Once she finally brings the bill - the hush puppies still were charged. In the past, the service and food had always been excellent - in addition to poor service, this time the food was barely average for some reason as well. I had my wedding here a few years ago, and have been in to eat dinner several times since then; everything has always been great. We had family visiting, so we thought it would be a great idea to take them here, and also get to try out the new menu. Something must have been very wrong in the kitchen because there were several issues. 1. I ordered the maple bowl - the rice was extremely overcooked and gloopy, and the sweet potatoes were raw. 2. Someone else ordered the mac and cheese, which came out cold and dried out on top. Sent it back, and I'm pretty sure they just sprinkled some cheese on top and microwaved it. 3. I was so excited about the hushpuppies, but they were so dense and undercooked that they were not edible. Service was also a bit lacking that day, but definitely the main issue was the food. I really hope they can get it back together soon, as it would be a shame for Brown County to lose what once was a great asset to the community. read more

We drive 45 minutes just for breakfast/brunch here! We love the cozy atmosphere and the location is magical. It is located at the edge of the strip in Brown County along a creek. The service is always excellent and the food is delicious. We were informed that there is a new owner that has brought this mouth watering menu to life. They really know what they are doing! Update: My last review was posted a year ago and I just wanted to reiterate how much we enjoy coming here! The food is delicious and the service is spectacular. They have done so much to make us feel comfortable dining here during COVID. All the employees wear masks and gloves and they sanitize the tables between customers. They provide hand sanitizer and require masks by patrons unless seated at a table. The tables are spread out to allow for social distancing and they have outdoor seating options. My wife and I were staying at the State Park in Brown County and decided to dine at the Brown County Inn which had social distancing between customers. Cortney was our server and did a fine job. My wife had a cheeseburger with fries which was alright, save not having much flavor. I ordered the fish and chips with cole slaw. The fish was very greasy, fries were crispy like I asked for and cole slaw was quite watery. I am guessing their normal cook was off that night. For what we got the price was much too high, beer pocketbook food for champagne prices. With half as many people at a dining service I expected a little more care with the cooking. read more
