Stayed here last weekend with my parents, for a family wedding in Brown County. The grounds of this hotel are super pretty, with great views. Within walking distance to all things fun in Nashville, IN. Lots of outdoors space to sit, relax, and take in the view. They have a pool and hotub. They provided a small breakfast in the morning. My parents reserved a suite, with 2 beds, one of which was in a room, the other was in the "common" area by the kitchen. It had a full kitchen, which is helpful for those here for a longer trip. Only feedback I have / one thing that I thought was odd was the kitchen did not come with pans, plates, silverware. Etc to make having a kitchen in the room worth it. No one normally travels with those things.

Actual keys for the door to room so they are way behind times, room looked nothing like pics I saw online...I assure you if they took pics of my dark and dingy room with a crappy little tv screwed to the wall they never would book a room. It just reeks of old mustiness and while on subject of the tv, you best bring a book or tablet cause the crappy reception to the room from some terrible cable connection will drive you mad. The temp to the room was modulated by a switch that states (hot / cold) written in marker on a plate...but doesn't matter cause both do the same thing.....nothing! The actual thermostat is from the 60's...doesn't do a damn thing either. Pillows were made of granite...couldn't even bend them..never had a worse pillow ever... Also seasons staff, don't have a vending machine with perishables in them if it doesn't have refrigeration! Nothing like a liquid kit jar bar..yum! All this for the God awful price of $138 a night!!! Go anywhere else...sleep in a dumpster If you must..

On the plus side: The items on the buffet were really tasty -- fried chicken, mashed potatoes (not from powder), a delicious chicken/white gravy, and those amazing rolls served with apple butter. Oh my goodness, you could seriously just fill a plate with rolls and apple butter and call the meal a success. They're hard to describe, but they're kind of round dinner rolls with a sweet and slightly cinnamon type flavor. They are crunchy on the outside (possibly fried?) and really delicious. Add the apple butter and some butter butter and it's pretty heavenly. There was also a salad bar that was OK but nothing super special. In all, I guess there aren't a ton of options and it's definitely not a buffet for those watching their weight or with dietary restrictions. But what was there was hot, delicious and plentiful. And, like I said, seriously, the biscuits themselves are worth the trip. And at something like $12 a person, it's a pretty decent deal, especially if you go hungry. Would recommend, but advise that people go knowing what to expect. This is not a buffet that will boggle your mind with options. But it will taste good and leave you satisfied.

I didn't get names, but the lady that served me food wore a Vivtor Olidipo Pacers game jersey. Buddy Guy was INCREDIBLE and definitely did not disappoint, his opener, Dylan Triplett was on fire!!! The parking was very organized, and the venue was easy to find. As always I have to review the bathrooms...SUPER clean!! I was surprised at how big this small place was. I was very pleased at the venue, for my first visit....and the food was delicious and the drinks were very nice.

I always claim I'll do better, but something really needs to stand out (good or bad) for me to venture past the food. The Brown County Music Center deserves a review, and thus here you have it! I mentioned BCMC (called it Nashville Music Center sorry) in my review of Hard Truth. This is what prompted me to follow thru with a review. I want to give it two thumbs up! BCMC is a smallish music center in Nashville, Indiana. It holds about 2,000 people and has a main level plus small balcony. The photo in my review is from row 3 in the balcony and as you can see there isn't a bad seat in the house. Parking is simple - the walk from the worst parking spot is probably 100 yards from the front door. VIP parking has better pavement and is much closer. Once inside, there is a nice lobby for selling merch, two indoor concession stands with snacks, drinks and alcohol plus there is an outside fenced off yard for those who want fresh air or to smoke with its own window for concessions. Bathrooms are huge - or at least the men's room is - and rarely is there a line. I'd bet money the person who designed the place made bathroom accessibility a focus. BCMC gets nationally known acts in a small town in southern Indiana. You won't see Taylor Swift here, but you'll recognize almost everyone on the schedule. The 'room where it happens' is well designed, comfortable, has great sound quality and again does not have a bad seat in the house. I love looking thru the shows because I know there will be something I'm interested and the price is always very reasonable. Finally, and maybe most importantly, I don't know if the ushers and staff are volunteers or paid, but they're all super friendly and seem to love having guests visit their facility. Every time I visit, I'm overwhelmed with how friendly they are. I truly would rather see a show at this venue than just about any other location in the state. It's convenient, comfortable, and easily accessible. Kudos to the good folks of Nashville for this fantastic venue!

I stopped by yesterday to pick up a map and get directions to a gallery. The maps were laid out on the counter when I walked through the door! The clerks are friendly and helpful and walked me through the symbols on the map. I asked about a restaurant for lunch and was told to try her favorite (and I did). I gathered information about recreational things to do that I didn't know about. There are places that offer horseback riding and zip-lining that were new to me. The Center has a small gift shop with logo apparel, water bottles and stickers. There is also a slideshow running that highlights some of the things to do in the area. A small play area with nature related toys is available for the little ones while parents browse. There is street parking close to the building or a public lot behind the building. The Center is worth a visit and will help you make the most of your day.

I was on the hunt for a public bathroom and this spot is ideally located in the heart of downtown Nashville walking distance from all the action. And, might I add, conveniently located a few doors down from the new-ish Ooey Gooey Cinnamon Roll shop. (side note: holy jamoly, this was the best cinnamon roll I've ever had) I digress, the visitor's center is very clean, well laid out and I was impressed by the great branding and fun visual maps you'll find inside. The whole space seemed very new and especially trendy for the small town area. They had a few style "Brown County" inspired clothing and trinkets for sale on the back wall. Worth noting, the bathrooms were clean. If you're popping into Nashville, I recommend giving the visitors center a quick peek.

When you drive up, first you notice a massive amount of green land with trees bordering the property. There's a 100 acres of land, so there's plenty of green space. Down the drive, there's a parking lot next to their main building. There's space for 30-40 cars, at the very least. Walking into the building, if you look to your right at sunset (when we arrived), you'll catch a brilliant sunset past the trees. It's a wonderful time to be in nature! Once you walk down the path and into the venue, allow your eyes to soak up the cozy warmth of the wooden walls, bar, and floor. This is a lovely place! Right when you walk in there is a bar to the right and then space for around 4-5 round tables and some counters/long table space for food. Keep walking and you'll have three amazing bathrooms to your left. I know, right? How strange is it to be in love with a venue's bathrooms, but you'll know when you see it. The bathroom doors are set to slide open along the wall, and are all made of re-purposed wood from a Brown County auction (thanks to one of the owners' family members explaining this to me!). The bathroom interiors are all bright colors and nothing is gender specific. Also, it's eco-friendly! The sink water fills up the toilet tanks and there are dozens of white towels & a laundry basket. There's a larger gathering place that can fit around 7-8 round tables in the next room, and past this is a door leading to the outside. They allow bonfires, woohoo! Beautiful. Also, the land is so far away from Bloomington and Indianapolis, that there's no light pollution ruining the night sky. On a clear night, there are dozens of sparkling stars. Camping may even be allowed (it was at this event) and there's plenty of space. They have space for disc golf as well. Overall, I loved the place. I hope to attend future events at this venue. This is a family-owned property and it's the perfect addition to the Nashville/southern Indiana community!
