The place was falling apart. When you walk into the lobby, a strong musty odors hits you in the face. The people working at the hotel are extremely nice, but the hotel is very run down and not worth the price! When I received my room key, I walked up to my room. The rooms are huge, but are severe need of an update! The bathroom had cracked tiles and the vent was hanging from the ceiling. The closet had minimal places to hang clothes and were attached to the rod as if the owners are afraid of people stealing hangers. The kitchenette area was filthy! The fridge had thus rusted, the dishwasher was dirty, and the had minimal utensils, plates, and cups (which I would not use). The utility room had the door missing and the light in this room was bare (which I believe is a violation). Lights in the bathroom were brunt out. The kitchen had no paper towels or cleaning cloths. The linens in the bathroom were bare threads. NO housekeeping services. I had to walk down to the front desk to obtain clean linens; then bag my old lines and place outside the door. The pool should be condemned! Mold, ceiling falling in, and just filthy. This place could be a very nice Mom and Pop Hotel in Brown County if the owner fixed the place up a bit. read more

The 80s charm is my favorite thing about this place. It's quite impressive that the original appliances are still working. I love the large rooms, full kitchen, two bathrooms, and balcony. Sure, the carpet could be replaced - but otherwise I love the fact that it hasn't been modernized. The unit we stayed in was clean and everything worked - what more can you ask for? My guess is that Hotel Nashville started out as a timeshare or something to that effect. This would explain why the units are so big. We took advantage of the indoor pool and hot tub. It's pretty rare to find a hot tub these days. The lobby offered coffee. We didn't get a chance to check out The Chop House restaurant, but the menu looked great. This was my 2nd time staying at this hotel and I would definitely come back! The price is great, and the units are huge! read more

Good location- short walking distance to shops and restaurants. Staff were nice and friendly and room was clean but very worn and dated. Bathroom floor stained and bugs visible in several spots on ceiling. We received a notice upon check- in they were aware of the Lady beetle problem and if you wished to leave, you could check out but no refund. We stayed but kept our bags closed. Mattresses were very old and no support. Steep steps and climbing required to room and throughout the property and in some places no where to hold onto as the wood railings were old, creaky and full of splinters. The entire hotel / grounds needs a major facelift/ renovation. Would not recommend or return to this hotel. read more

Stayed here last weekend with my parents, for a family wedding in Brown County. The grounds of this hotel are super pretty, with great views. Within walking distance to all things fun in Nashville, IN. Lots of outdoors space to sit, relax, and take in the view. They have a pool and hotub. They provided a small breakfast in the morning. My parents reserved a suite, with 2 beds, one of which was in a room, the other was in the "common" area by the kitchen. It had a full kitchen, which is helpful for those here for a longer trip. Only feedback I have / one thing that I thought was odd was the kitchen did not come with pans, plates, silverware. Etc to make having a kitchen in the room worth it. No one normally travels with those things. read more

If you want fancy and top-notch- not the place. If you are looking for a comfortable stay at a good price- you found it! Check-in was a breeze! The room was very large for a hotel room- much bigger than normal. And inside of this hotel is an AMAZING restaurant, Nashville Chophouse, which is not owned by the hotel, but I highly recommend this place. Con- The swimming area is in need of repair- there are roof leaks and the walls need a good scrubbing. Overall a very good experience, and I will stay there again. read more

We usually spend at least one weekend a year in Nashville, IN. We have stayed a few other places but so far, this has become our favorite. For the price of the room, you get an apartment, not a hotel room. Full kitchen. 2 baths. 1-2 BRs, (depending on what you book for.) Balcony. I have no idea what other reviewers are talking about when they mention noise from other rooms, but I have yet to hear any of the neighbors we have had. And I know I have had some because I have talked to them on the balcony. They do not do daily room service which I'm okay with reusing my towels if need be. I will say, they do not provide individual shampoo/conditioner, soap, lotion etc. There is a 3-in-1 dispenser in each shower area. So if you are like me and need special shampoo/conditioner, bring your own. But for the price you are, essentially, getting an apartment rather than a hotel room. There is a pool/hot tub that we have never used. And an outdoor common area that I have seen multiple families take advantage of. The staff is friendly/helpful. The handful of full-time residents we have met are also super sweet. The ONLY negative I can come up with is the stairs. If you have trouble walking stairs then this is not the place for you. You WILL be walking a ton of stairs if you stay here. read more

Nice place, older building, but they are working on a restaurant called the chop house. Room had quite a few ladybugs and some age on it but it was still pretty nice! For $80 for Thanksgiving Eve....I honestly didn't have high hopes. Plus the fact that it didn't already have reviews and there is a similarly named hotel in the same area that looks sketchier....I was nervous. But honestly...for the price, this hotel blew me away! $80 got us a two king bed suite: 2 full bathrooms, balcony, full kitchen stocked with cooking necessities. IMpressive! They also have a pretty decently sized pool and a restaurant (open on weekends, closed on holidays). There is a lovely common patio that would be wonderful in nicer weather. Everything was a little dated, but you are in a tourist trap haven that embraces the small town old school feel of things. The continental breakfast was pretty ok. I think it might have been bigger on a non-holiday day. But still, you had waffles and cinnamon buns and oatmeal and coffee and cereal. So exactly what you'd expect at a big chain hotel. The only real negative is that the WiFi, which is free!, is not a strong and stable connection. It goes in and out a lot. And it is a really useful thing when you are in Brown County and have spotty cell service... But I would 100% recommend this place as somewhere to stay in Brown County, Indiana! It is right in "downtown" Nashville, IN. You can easily walk to just about anywhere of interest in the town. The State Park is less than a 10 minute drive away. The staff here is friendly and helpful. ABSOLUTELY worth considering if you are staying in the area! read more

We have stayed at Nashville Inn many times in the past over the past 8+ years, and have been very pleased. Due to COVID, we haven't been there in the past year, but decided to take a 2 night trip this week. This hotel has gone downhill since our last stay. When we checked in and arrived at our room, the door was wide open. Lights out in the entry ways to the rooms, no liners in the trash cans; soap dispenser empty in one of the bathrooms; A single plastic worn out chair on our spacious, worn out deck; No continental breakfast-coffee only, which tasted like it was yesterday's coffee. We tried to check out at 7:35 am, and the doors were locked. A woman getting out of her van said she would take our key. what a disappointment. This room was $119 per night. read more

Very clean and spacious hotel! Almost like an apartment. Beds are comfy slept very well. Had some table and chairs, kitchen, and a recliner in the room too. Would highly recommend. The only thing I would say is there are some flights of stairs, but hey a little exercise is good :) read more

Good hotel in a quaint town. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel find. The rooms were apartment style. Full kitchen, two baths, porch. If we were spending more than 1 night there, the full kitchen would have been put to good use. The staff was accommodating when our hairdryer was missing, and helpful when looking for a place for dinner that would be open at 8pm on the night before Thanksgiving. The wireless internet was in and out. Personally I wasn't super but off by this since we were only there for 1 night and it was free. read more

I think we must have found a great deal or something, because the price was great for us, and the whole experience was fantastic for us! I absolutely loved this place and will definitely go back. We got to the hotel super early, and were amazed by the location. You could walk down the steps on top of the hill right down to the strip. It was close to everything!!! The room wasn't quite ready yet, but they let us park in our spot so we had a place to leave the car. Yes, OUR spot.. the spots were numbered for each room, so no worries about finding parking. We decided to walk the strip for about an hour or 2 and when we headed back the awesome lady at the front desk not only remembered us, but had our room ready 2 hours prior to check in. This place had a pool and a hot tub right inside the main area, and even a small kitchen type area for your free breakfast the next morning. When we got our key, we walked up the stairs to the 3rd floor, and were just elated when we saw how GIGANTIC the room was! We don't need much to be pleased but holy wow, this place was cool. If you're looking for a place like the Hilton, or some other 5 star amenities with a spa, then this isn't your place. But, if you're looking for a large room with a balcony (ours faced the strip and had a lovely view...) that has a stellar location then get in here. We opened the door to hard wood floors in the hallway. You could go left or right, because this was a suite. We went right into the living room, and there was plenty of comfy furniture if you wanted to lounge around. There was a dining room table and chairs and a kitchen with a fridge. This place looks like a large one bedroom apartment! We went back down the hall after adjusting our thermostat, and passed a bathroom with a shower. Then we went into the bedroom and saw the most glorious thing! The bedroom itself was pretty large with a tv and a vanity area. But, it had another bathroom with a GIANT Jacuzzi bath tub!!!! It was perfect!!! The place was clean, the staff were very friendly and accommodating and the free breakfast was a nice bonus. There is a nice restaurant but we didn't eat there so I can't vouch for that. We had a great romantic stay, and we would absolutely stay there again. Loved everything about the place!!!! read more

I believe the hotel was at or near full occupancy but you could not tell it by any noise. We stayed two nights and never heard any noise from neighbors or the street. Great location but not for those who don't like to walk-lots of stairs/steps. Clean and efficient. Breakfast included was good although I didn't eat anything but fruit(no gluten free choices). Pool was exceptionally enjoyable as was the whirlpool. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Went out of the way to drop an item in the mail that I left in my room. I can't say that any other place I have ever been would do something like that! read more

Staying here for a few days so far here's some pros , nice people , great location near town ,clean pool, clean spa in pool area, Clean room , clean whirlpool tube in room , No bugs. Free Complementary breakfast, And now for the cons, bad Wi-Fi connection at least in room 2##, outdated TVs no flat screen hdmi, no ice bucket just a bag ,no toiletries except there is toilet paper, no conditioner or shampoo mini bottles just a soap dispenser in shower and by sink and alot of TV channels are missing from the list in room like hbo and Comedy Central and more and that's it I haven't experienced the restaurant yet so I will be reviewing that as well it's not a bad place for a family get away but I give it 2 in a half stars with outdated TV and less than 1bar of Wi-Fi and missing channels that are listed on the channel list in room. read more

Ummm, where to start.... Upon entering the lobby to check in, the OVERWHELMING smell of mildew nearly knocks you over. Then there's the sarcastic, unfriendly hostess with the little white dog (which was darling, but even the poor pup seemed depressed and extremely unhappy just being there). So we find our suite with a hot tub, same stench just not as overpowering, and the decor is just awful, drab, with broken mini blinds and it's just horribly outdated! It was full of ladybugs and a wasp! And to top it all off, the temperature of the hot tub was unbearably HOT (and I love my bath water and shower water very hot), however, this was nearly scalding. My husband could NOT get in it Lastly, the continental breakfast was pitiful with canned fruit cocktail, and rock hard STALE cinnamon rolls. We were so very disappointed and will not return. The place needs leveled and rebuilt. YUK, YUK, YUK. read more

We drove from out of town and called ahead of time to confirm that the restaurant closes at 9 PM. When we got there at 8:30 the girl at the front desk told us the restaurant closes at eight and tried to refuse service. After we almost walked out she called upstairs and found out that the restaurant was still open. The staff in the restaurant were very nice but the food was mediocre and not worth the hundred dollars I spent on 2 people but I didn't complain. The pool and hot tub were dirty. When we finally got to our room the thermostat did not work and when we called the front desk for help no one answered the phone. Last but definitely not least, the casing on the plug in for the blow dryer was broken and I did not notice causing me to get shocked badly when I plugged it in. MOTEL Nashville is refusing a full refund so they get this honest account of my horrible stay on their FB page. read more

We stay in Brown County each year and have thought about staying her many times. We normally stay in a cabin in the country, but wanted to give this a try. We thought it may be great to stay in town. When we walked into the lobby it was immediately evident that the place smelled musty. Prior to going I called to ask if all hot tub units are on ground floor. They told me they were so we booked it. Only to get there and realize that to get to our unit we had to go up a large amount of steps, walk a path and then step up 4 for 5 more. This was doable for me, as I have small limitations. However, someone fully disabled could not have done this. The bed was SO hard...we could have slept on the floor. The hot tub was freezing. One of the two recliners was broke. Decor was dated. Phone did not work. This hotel room was not worth anywhere near the $200 a night they charge. We will be going back our cabin. read more

Favorite local spot for a well cooked and simple meal! I have never stayed at the hotel Nashville but I have been to the bar for drinks and food. Thy have a well maintained smaller menu and what they cook they cook well. I had the blackened salmon and it was cooked to perfection. My whole meal was kept simple and fresh and paired with just the right wine it could not be beat. The bar is small and warm and pleasant, the bartenders are jovial and the best time to be here is for happy hour when the locals are out and about having a night cap. The pie olé of Nashville are wonderful and hotel Nashville bar and restaurant is tiny gem in a tiny town ! read more

I do not recommend this hotel. Although the view from our room was awesome, we did have a ton of stairs to climb to get to that room. Normally I would appreciate the exercise but once you make the hike to your room you are provided the hardest bed in the world to sleep on. Not kidding I think the floor would have been more comfortable. The hotel definitely has character with as old as it is but the room also was not as clean as it should have been. Carpets and floors looked like it had been awhile since they had been cleaned. Definitely not worth the $200 they charged at all!!!!! Next time we will be staying elsewhere. read more

Stayed last night, Halloween. Arrived and immediately went out for the evening. Returned later and found the room cold. Turned the heat on higher. Woke up 5:30 Saturday morning and could see my breathe. To cold to stay, packed up and went to check out early. Not so much as a "I'm sorry for the inconvenience". Person at the desk said they needed to call someone because that was a brand new thermostat. The thermostat look like the original when the place was constructed. Desk person was not rude, just did not seem to care. We go to Nashville for the evening every other month, will probably stay elsewhere. read more

Room was very spacious but cost us a fortune!!!! More than we've spent on rooms in Chicago or New York. Soap dispensers on the walls in even the jacuzzi and bathroom - tacky, tacky. No amenities at all!!!!! Not a bar of soap, not a small bottle of lotion or shampoo - nothing. Furniture was old and worn. The restaurant offered great selections and honestly, we were almost afraid to eat there because of what our room looked like, but the food was outstanding- a welcome surprise. The room also didn't look clean to us. However, it was located in the busy downtown area which made everything accessible to us. The place is old but for goodness sakes, at the prices they charge they should at least replace some of the furniture, give you dishes and utensils for the kitchen (they cost extra) - something! read more

My husband and I planned a weekend in Nashville to run a trail race in Brown County State Park and to just get away. We were pleased at how inexpensive it was to book a room here (as we think hotel rooms in such a TINY town should not be pricey), but ultimately we should have splurged. The walls were so thin we heard everything that everyone was doing below us, beside us, and above us as well as every time someone went up and down the exterior stairs. We even heard a domestic dispute in the middle of the night one night. We did not sleep well either night - in fact, it was the two worse nights of sleep I'd had lately. We are both deep sleepers, but every movement in the building woke us up as it sounded like others were in our room with us. The staff were friendly, and we considered changing rooms after the first night but ultimately didn't because it was clear it wouldn't help. The place is old and poorly insulated so there's no way to get a quiet room. Past that, it was clean... but everything is old and not the best. The bed was also exceptionally hard. If we return to Nashville again, we'll definitely splurge and stay elsewhere. read more

RESTAURANT ONLY REVIEW. We tried out the restaurant on a Saturday night and loved the food and the bar tender at Hotel Nashville. We had a great time spending time chatting at the bar drinking margaritas and gin. Later we moved to the dining room for dinner. The dining room was reasonably elegant, with tables comfortably spaced far apart. We all had the house salad that had wonderful croutons and very fresh lettuce and tomato with grated carrots. The chicken cordon blue with cranberry sauce was amazing, as was my companion's chicken Alfredo. The waitress was attentive, and we had a terrific time! read more

My husband and I decided to stay at Hotel Nashville last week for a little getaway. After we checked out and got home, I felt like just talking with the front desk attendant was not satifactory, I felt like I needed to email the manager. I recieved no reply from the hotel, but I would like to warn whomever I could. Also please check out the reviews on Hotel Nashville on Tripadvisor.com. They really show the true colors. Dear Manager, I am writing concerning the stay that we had in your hotel last Thursday. My husband and I stayed in a hot tub room. We checked in around 7:00 or so in the evening with no prior reservation. I can not put into words how awful our stay was, but I will try. To begin with the hot tub jets would not work in a non turbo speed which was very uncomfortable. When I removed the cover from the hot tub, I stepped on a broken tile and almost slit my foot open, after further examination I saw that there are a number of tiles broken around the hot tub. That obviously is a HUGE safety issue. While sitting in the hot tub we noticed what disrepair the room was in. It was absolutely filthy. The phone was so dirty we didnt want to use it, we actually got in our car and drove to have cell phone reception to call home. The light switches in the bathroom and around the room were filthy. We both chose to not take showers in the room shower because neither of us felt like it was clean enough to do so. We also tried to use the pool and my husband got out of the water because when he got his face wet there was another persons hair all over his face. We decided to take a walk around town, and came back around 11:00 or so. We turned down the bed and the sheets were awful. Hair on the "clean" sheets, thread bare, not fully made, corners completely off the bed and would not stay at all. At this point we were ready to leave and get a full refund at the front desk, however the desk was closed. We opted to throw all of the top covers completely off the bed. I was thankful to have brought my own blanket, which I sandwiched myself in so that I would not have to touch anything including a pillow. My husband however was not so lucky to have a clean blanket. Neither my husband or myself slept that night. In the morning we went for breakfast which consisted of stale cinnamon rolls, meiocre waffles and what was labeled in the machine as hot chocolate was actually cappuccino (which I am allergic to). We spoke with the desk attendant settled up at the desk for 69.00 for the room. However the more my husband and I talk about it the more and more unhappy we are. This room rents for a lot more than we paid for it, and even at 69.00 I feel like we overpaid. We couldn't wait to leave honestly. read more
