Very disappointing. Communication and follow-up were inconsistent, and the overall process was frustrating. I would not recommend.

I had an extremely positive experience with Subodh Chandra over the course of several conversations…read moreacross three years. He initially reviewed my case and was interested in assisting, but changes in one of his existing cases ultimately prevented him from taking it. Even so, he remained generous with his time and attention and did not forget the underlying facts of the case. Before the appellate phase, Subodh and his colleague reviewed the situation again and gave me candid, clear guidance. His assessment was not unexpected but it was disappointing to hear, particularly because it reflected the consequences of serious failures by a previous attorney, but he did not offer false reassurance or tell me what I wanted to hear. He was realistic about the limits of the law, the and the state of the case while remaining attentive to the underlying harm I experienced and the importance of justice. We later spoke a third time, and Subodh went beyond simply offering advice. He reached out to members of his professional network in an effort to help me find assistance better aligned with my particular legal needs. Again, he expressed both compassion and a hope that I might see some measure of justice. Throughout these interactions, he listened carefully, understood the complexity of the case, and treated me with respect and compassion. He is exceptionally smart, principled, and humane. His combination of legal realism, intellectual clarity, and a keen sense of justice is rare. I am deeply grateful for his time, honesty, and integrity.

VOLUNTEER -- I volunteered here in September 2019 at one of their brief advice clinics. The day was dedicated to Immigration Law so people who had questions about a pending Immigration application or case received help from Attorneys and Law Students. I really enjoyed volunteering there and I look forward to returning. LEGAL HELP -- If you have low income and meet the federal poverty guidelines then you can seek some assistance from legal aid for civil matters. I retained Kenneth (Ken) Cahill as my divorce attorney. My experience with Ken has been fraught…read morewith errors and poor communication, leading to significant issues during my divorce process. Despite my clear instructions for Ken to review letters with me before sending them to avoid errors, he sent letters that needed corrections. Ken neglected to bring my paperwork to court. Fortunately, I brought the paperwork and gave it to Ken because I was concerned about potential oversights from him. The upsetting part is as a reminder, I sent Ken this info to make sure he had the correct copy, and he still did not have it on the final court date. Ken gave me divorce papers to view one section at a time. I discovered multiple errors: - a checked box indicating we had minor children when we did not, - to surrender a garage door opener, I never possessed - to return a gun even though I agreed to sign an affidavit confirming I did not have a gun These discrepancies, which had been communicated through emails and phone calls, should have been rectified by Ken before he presented the documents to me. It was his responsibility to review and correct such mistakes. Overlooking these errors, particularly regarding the gun, could have led to serious financial repercussions for me. Ken did not have me review the entire packet before entering the magistrate's office, which resulted in the paperwork I gave to Ken being switched which was Ken's responsibility. Due to Ken's neglect and failure to advocate, I lost ownership of the $6500.00 custom-made sofa set. Ken's billing included charges for Preparation for trial and Attendance at trial. Ken was not prepared for the mediation, and his participation was minimal. I should not be billed for these services There were charges for subpoenaing bank statements that I later found were unnecessary. since Ken already had the information. I was quite surprised when Ken accidentally sent me someone else's documents. Receiving someone else's information made me feel uneasy and raised questions about the handling of my own information. I wrote Ken two letters and called him to express that paying more is neither fair nor acceptable. As of today, Ken has not responded to my letters or phone call. In conclusion, Ken's lack of communication, negligence, unethical behavior, malpractice, errors, and failure to advocate for me has caused significant distress. In my personal opinion, find another attorney besides Kenneth Cahill.

After reading the website I was very impressed by the founder's experience and success. I thought…read morethat was who I would be meeting with after booking a consultation, only to find out that the consultation was with one of the people with far less experience and a relatively newer hire compared to the attorney who I read about on the site. She was very nice though and I showed her the respect she deserves but I needed someone with far more experience. So I decided to stick with the person I currently have at another firm because I did not have the confidence I would be better off. So I have been seeking those with more of a track record because I want someone with experience in dealing with a person who has traits of, and/or a character, personality disorder and I feel I needed more expertise in strategy.

I have waited a very long time to write this review, primarily because I felt writing it…read moreimmediately following my divorce would allow for too many emotions to enter into the review. Almost 18 months later I am just as unhappy with the quality and service that I received from this law firm. If you don't want to read the whole review, here's the summary - DON'T USE THIS FIRM, RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN TO ANOTHER. Throughout my case I struggled to communicate with my lawyer - to excess. I would reserve time from my schedule to talk only to receive no call at the scheduled time, or any time after. Often I would get an excuse that she was in court or something came up, but I never received an apology for this behavior. I would send countless text messages (was told this was more effective than email), dozens of emails, dozens of voicemails to desk and cellphones and they all went unanswered, yet somehow billed for the receipt of them... This happened so much that I actually had to request a conversation with Andrew Zashin himself who only made excuses for her behavior, and he only agreed to meet with me after I expressed in an email directly to him that I would not only never recommend his law firm, but that I would actively discourage people from using it. He seemed very put-off by my position and I believe he took the meeting only to defend his firm and attorney and less to actually listen to what I had to say and attempt to correct the conditions. Here I am 18 months later and still dealing with the final division of assets through the QDRO process and the ONLY way I can get an answer from anyone is to go around my attorney and directly to the paralegal who has been handling my case. She is the only reason that I gave a star, she is responsive and actually owns the communication process, were it not for her I would have given no stars if possible. Divorce is an ugly matter, and often times very stressful for both parties regardless of how amicable it may or may not be between the two. Those who employ the services of lawyers should be met with compassion and respect, especially when paying upwards of $400/hr for services. If you wish to have a congenial experience with your attorney, have effective negotiations, and receive respect for your time as a client - I STRONGLY suggest you look elsewhere, I found none of those at this law firm.
