What you're watching are actual students playing basketball and not a one and done feeder league for the NBA/WNBA who frankly, couldn't pick their professors out of a line-up. These games are highly enjoyable because sports is the one facet of the Ivy League where the academic overdogs of the Ancient Eight become relatable underdogs as they navigate the almost professional ranks of Division I hoops. And all for less than a movie ticket matinee. It's hard not to love. Five easy stars.

In Providence RI, the local fans are extremely knowledgeable about their hockey and that makes them great! Equally important, they are very hospitable to out-of-towners. The shuttle buses are very comfortable and spacious. For $40.00, a family cant beat the value that is provided for the 2 day orientation events. Parking was free both days and families received 2 meals on the first day as well as breakfast on the second. Bookstores are equipped with both books and swag. A little pricey, but thats typical of any campus bookstore. The Harborside Bookstore was geared toward the culinary students and therefore had most of their cutlery and cooking utensils. A great addition to this tour would have been a driving tour of both the Harborside and Downcity campuses...but understand such things cost money (especially the fuel). This review is for the track only!…read more I was here over the weekend for the Naraganesset 1/2 Marathon. The complex was nice enough with plenty of bathrooms and parking but the track where the half marathon ended definitely needs some work. The track is your standard 1/2 mile loop but it need some serious rehabilitation - as chunks of the track surface were either missing, cracked or covered up with some weird rubber material, all of which made the track very uneven. It is fine if you are planning on using it for jogging or walking, but if you are thinking about doing some serious speed and/or tempo work I would suggest finding another location for your workout.
