Great venue for sporting events or concerts. We were here last nigth to see Mercy Me perform, and the sightlines are pretty good from nearly any seat. Sound is good, facility is clean enough and there are plenty of restrooms. Employees are friendly. Security usually doesn't take too long. As with most venues of this type, food and drinks are overpriced. They do have some some local food choices such as Saugy's hotdogs. There is reasonable priced parking available nearby at the Providence Place Mall. Overall, a good place to catch a game or a concert. read more

I've been here twice this year, which is funny because I have not been the convention center in years! I came earlier this year for a Providence bruins game and this week went to Stars on Ice. They get some really great shows! I found parking on the street easy and getting in through security was simple. The show was amazing! I wish the bathrooms were cleaner and that they had better signage for the seats. There was also no security or police detail to help you cross the street, which was surprising after a big show! read more

Though I never truly attended a game or show at Amica Mutual Pavilion - The AMP, I have been to the Box Office to purchase tickets and the AMP has some Rhode Island Comic Con events. The AMP's Box Office is in the main lobby. There are stairs leading to the main entrance and a ramp located adjacent to the main entrance for guests requiring accessibility. The Box Office is open Monday-Friday, 9 am - 5 pm and select Saturdays and Sundays during event season. The staff I've encountered at the box office have always been helpful and friendly. Rhode Island Comic Con is a three-day comic convention held during November at the AMP, Rhode Island Convention Center, and Omni Providence Hotel. The upper concourse of AMP has vendors, concessions, and show store. The lower concourse of AMP has opportunities to get celebrities autographs, vendors, concessions, and sensory reduced area. The AMP is huge and Rhode Island Comic Con uses this space really well. read more

I love [insert corporation name here] arena; it's an occasional boy aquarium for ice fighting and a concert venue where Alice Cooper once sat in a coffin in the basement, demanding an apple pie at 1:00 AM. A bunch of elderly people and I even got our first round of Covid vaccines here. This place has everything - besides parking, that is. Can't win them all. 10 out of 10, no notes! read more

This was a nice event graduation class CCRI 2025. We had the privilege to be invited to the private section where they served food and open bar. The views from up top are beautiful it is very spacious. I didn't have food but I did have a cocktail. Everyone was welcoming and attentive. Service was great read more

The inside of the arena seating area is very comfortable and good seats in most locations. The concourse is way too small to host an all day event like an NCAA tournament. The men's bathrooms are tiny and the lines are long. Had to wait a very long time to use the restroom which means missing parts or the event you are attending. Highly recommend they expand and renovate the restrooms. There was no line at the women's restrooms so maybe convert a few of those to men's. Otherwise pleasant arena for one that is this old. read more

This venue does NOT support Veterans! I am retired Navy and I called this arena this morning to ask them if I would be able to get into the show for free. (Which is WWE's policy and something I have done twice in Hartford with no difficulty). The woman replied that they "hadn't yet made a decision on Military pricing yet" and that I should just drive to the arena (which is an hour away from my house) and find out before the show and that if they were not recognizing Military tonight I would have to pay full price for a ticket (!). I took my kids to see disney on ice last night, the 7 pm show. It was amazing and magical. But it seems like anybody that worked for security or food places was very ignorant and rude. I spent a lot of money to come to the show for the guy at the snow cone stand kind of tall with a bald head to be very ignorant and rude to me and my children. My daughter touched the cup that I was buying and he yelled at her when I told him I didn't appreciate him yelling at my child after all the money we spent here, he started bobbing his head like he didn't give a crap. Definitely, shouldn't even be working around children for that matter. I would take my kids again and again, but I will not go back to that stand. read more

This is a great venue to watch basketball and hockey. Built like an old arena the luxury boxes and high up leaving more seats closer to the action. Via pedestrian walkways this building is connected to the convention center which connects to the mall. Park at the mall for a bucks and walk over or many of the garages closer by for $10-15. Concessions are somewhat limited, but so many good options nearby. Upgrades to the cooling system and a new scoreboard have kept this arena up to date. Downtown and off I-95. I have been to the Dunk' for tons of venues. Concerts, the circus, comic con so on and so forth. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. I park at the mall for a measly $2 for up to four hours and walk over. Getting out of the garage can be a hassle but that is a given going to a concert. Beers are over prices but not as much as other places ::cough cough Xfinity:: A plus is there are tons of local eatery around the Drunk... Recently showed up here for a concert....and it was pretty decent. Was easy to get to off 95 and was also reasonable getting out of the garage after the show. Only gripe is that they predictably gouge you on the beer prices. If you show up tell em Rick sent you and break down and buy the bottle of water for 6 bucks. I think I damaged my chromosomes after foolishly taking a sip of water from the fountain. read more

Went there for an event and some of the people working there are nice, some aren't. The lady at the box office greeted me with a smile and was very helpful getting my tickets. The metal detector guy was also nice as I went through it. The ticket lady was not very nice. After I showed her my ticket, she did not say anything regarding which way to go. I have not been the the Dunk in AGES....and I do not know where the sections nor seats are. So, I asked, which way do I go? She looked at me like I was stupid and said, right back there. It so happened that my section was right behind the lady, but again, not being familiar with the center, I would had appreciated a helpful remark. As we got ready to get seated, my BF went to see how much the beer was....They wanted $14 for a beer !!!!!!!! That's outrageous ! Normally the Dunkin Donuts Center would have only gotten 3 stars from me, but the new renovations definitely bump it up to a 4!!! Every time I come to this civic center, it is for a completely different reason. Attended P-Bruins games, received a college scholarship, seen Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and most recently attended a Cirque Du Soleil production. This place does a great job transforming itself for each event, the place never looks the same! An extremely desirable quality about the new renovations is that you can now walk from the DD Center to the Providence Place Parking Garage without having to step foot outside at any point. DD Center to Convention Center to Westin Hotel to Sky Bridge to Providence Place Mall. Not even a long trip! Great especially since Providence Place Parking is much cheaper than the center itself. Dunkin Donuts stands inside along with the usual concession stands, etc. I sat on the floor seats most recently which were very comfortable and well set up. I love seeing events staged here for its convenience and comfort. Updated and well worth the money spent for its attractions! read more

Recently went to the Dunkin Donut's Center for my daughters college graduation from Johnson & Whales. The place was well laid out and clean. They had over 1800 graduates in the time slot my daughter graduated then at 2pm they had another 1800. was impressed with how smoothly things went and how fast and efficient they went threw all the graduates. read more

I recently attended the Stars on Ice Show here. My daughter actually skated in the show so I was in the arena for a good 8 hours. It's a smaller arena - at least compared to the Boston area venues. No upper tier seating. The seating was very hit or miss. At first we were seated at end Ice to watch practice. Seats were comfortable, lots of leg room. A little while later we were moved over to Ice side seats at center ice. These seats were super skinny. I was literally bumping shoulders with my neighbors. Lastly we moved to our show seats. These seats were wider but had no leg room. My knees were constantly bumping the seat in front of me. Just based on seating alone I would opt not to attend events at this venue should other options exist. read more

Received a gift of tickets to see a Monster Jam monster truck show at this venue, so it was a large enough venue to host big trucks hitting jumps and crushing vehicles. There wasn't a bad seat in the place for a show like that. Beer was extremely overpriced however, I paid $23 for 2 Budweiser's. You're better off saving your money and hitting a bar before buying booze at this venue. Other than that, I'd see a show here again. read more

I am so surprised how nice The Dunk actually is! The last time I was here was back in the day when it was the Civic center in the 90's. After they redid the venue it looks amazing! I thought it was gonna look sorta run down and generic but it was nice. I go to concerts all over New England and the DD center can definitely hold its own against the competition. I parked in the North Garage Parking Lot, about a 3 minute walk to the arena. Its $20 parking but it's a well lit,secure garage. I need peace of mind when I'm out having a good time so it's worth the money. After the short walk to get in, security was a breeze and I didn't have to wait in line either. There are plenty of bathrooms throughout and a few different drink vendors set up. They had beer, wine, sangria and a mini bar of limited mixed drinks. I had a double shot cocktail..it was $18..which seemed totally acceptable once I already started drinking :-p ..looking back it's ridiculously expensive!!!!! A single shot and pineapple was already $10 so go big or go home right hehe The arena is pretty big but felt intimate at the same time. I had floor seats for Stars with Guitars and it was an absolute blast. I was so close to the stage and also met a few of the performers afterward. The sound and lighting were spot on and the crowd was hyped. The show was amazing and they had a nice selection of merch upon leaving. I got a Tee it was $18 which isn't bad. I am so pleasantly surprised with their whole operation. I can't wait for my next concert at the DUNK!!! read more

Attended the Providence Bruins hockey home opener and had a great time. Security was checking everyone out on the way in (pat downs and metal detectors) but the staff was all very pleasant and efficient while doing so. A friend won a suite level package for 20 and I must say - the service was impressive....They provide you with the suite area accessed by private elevators - menus and a server! The suite was beautiful, clean, had comfortable seating (besides just the usual stadium seating there was a small bar /counter area with 2-3 stools as well as four very comfortable, upholstered chairs), mini fridge, sink, coat closet...and was only a short walk to the nearest restroom (which were much cleaner than the bathrooms at the main concourse)....and of course an awesome view of the entire Dunk! It was nice to be able to order beer by the 6 pack (since it was a large group / makes it easier to keep everyone happy) and just be able to put what wasn't actually in the process of being consumed, into the mini fridge to keep it cold! They also sold liquor by the bottle along with a pretty large list of mixers! There was also snack assortments available for purchase (unlimited popcorn, candy, etc.)...If you wanted to purchase individual cocktails - they had a Bacardi Bar set up just down the hall! All in all, even though I am not a huge hockey fan - I had a great time, enjoyed the suite level services and would recommend any hockey fan or even corporation looking for a unique group outing venue - to give this a try! They lose one star since, when it came time to settle up at the end of the night - the credit card system at the suite level was having issues / went down - this meant waiting for the poor server to run down to the main level to get the tab settled up. Although, the server was apologetic about the entire thing and did all he could to get it taken care of, which was nice. Other than that one small annoyance - it was a great night. read more

The much needed renovations of the former Providence Civic Center, now named the Dunkin Donuts center, were completed earlier this year. I had the opportunity to visit this arena over the summer when I was checking out a concert with friends. The place has been greatly updated since I last visited here in the 90s. The arena was dank, dirty and literally falling apart when I was here years ago. Now it has state of the art technology inside like flat screen tvs, great concession stands and yes even Dunkin Donuts coffee, donuts and other items for sale. Literally steps from downtown restaurants, bars and all of the top hotels. Check it out the next time you have the chance to visit the Renaissance City. read more

I am a flex ticket holder for the Providence Bruins. The price is right, but j will probably not purchase them again. Once you become a flex ticket holder, you will get called at least once every couple weeks to buy more tickets or a "special" on other events. I felt hounded and eventually stopped answering the calls. My boyfriend and I went to a game on a Sunday and we accidentally sat in the wrong seats. It happens. The snotty brat behind me (teenage) started cursing at us and the mother couldn't control her child. They began to throw their food (from the food court at the mall) at us and threw their bags next to us too. Really hostile. I mentioned this to the staff at guest services and they didn't even bat an eye or really even care. My boyfriend and I ended up leaving in the middle of the second period. If you're looking for a good game of hockey, providence is a good team. I wish the atmosphere was better. I'll save my money and head up to Boston where the people are a little older. read more

Great place for events. The center is as such good and has good capacity. Seating is little cramped in some places and not perfectly designed. It probably isn't true for all the stations but the station id gone to had a malfunctioning billing machine and took forever to get drinks/food. Slightly unorganized as no one had an idea how to fix it and had to wait for someone to come by. Neither cash nor cards worked. Good experience otherwise. The place would probably benefit from some more signs in general. read more

Arena is outdated, plus it's dark. It's nice setup with Providence Place being attached to the Dunk. Providence has very good basketball fans. Parking is only $2 which is great deal. Federal Hill is not far, that's great place to eat. read more

I came to this arena for the first time. It was a great concert but everything else was a disappointment. First, the parking, ugh, horrible!! Getting in and now sitting during intermission to write this, the dread of having to go back out "there" is daunting. Next comes the lines to get through security, horrible too!!! Not one bit of order, just unorganized. I had a better experience getting into the Big E. Then.... yes, then, the frustration of finding an usher to get to our seats. They were basically unavailable. I will not come back here any time soon for another concert. This place is best suited for sporting events. read more
