At the front of the building there is a take away desk which can get quite busy at peak times, but the staff do seem to get through the queue quite quickly. The restaurant is at the back of the building at is on two leels, although I have not seen the upstairs open very much recently. The staff seem to be very professional and you usually do not have to wait too long to be served. This is the best place to eat fish and chips in Truro!

Lewsey Lou's is a chip shop and wet fish shop. So you can go in and get your fish and chips - based on the local catch, but also buy fish if you want to take it home and cook it yourself. Haddock, squid, scallops, lemon sole, were all on the menu. The average cost of a fish supper was around £8 but the portions were huge. A massive shovel of chips underneath a great sized piece of fish with lots of salt and vinegar - yum, yum! Excellent food and very good value. Being gluten free, I didn't have fish in batter but there were the options to have fish grilled - I had both the haddock and also scallop skewers and lovely butters on it - the lime and avocado butter is lovely, as it the lemon caper butter. It is well worth a visit - it can get busy with locals, tourists and beer garden drinkers getting the munchies so at peak times you might wait 30 minutes, but it is worth it! I think they may only take cash, but there is a cash machine in the upstairs of the Spars directly across the road...
