I was in town today and right before I reached my destination, my tire blew up on the freeway! It was horrifying! A good Samaritan pulled over and helped me! I asked for a recommendation on any good towing places since I'm from out of town and he called Brown's Super Service for me. They sent Damian to help me tow my car and take it to the nearest tire shop to get replaced! Damian arrived within 10-15 minutes and took my car to Harold's to get a replacement put in. He also gave me some great advice on tires and was very friendly! I'd definitely recommend his services for anyone in the area! read more

Five star service. I got an oil change over the weekend and the mechanic didn't put the belly pan on correctly after they were done. Part of it came off and started dragging while I was driving on the highway the next day. I called Brown's tow service on a Sunday night. I was stuck on I-70 west ten minutes from Topeka and the tow truck came 15 minutes after I called! Wow, quick service. Cost of towing was $60 flat rate with $3 a mile after that. The tow truck driver was friendly and kind. After towing my car to my apartment, he brought out his tool kit and helped me screw on my belly pan in 40 degree weather, free of charge. He was also very knowledgeable about cars and explained why this might've happened. I highly recommend Brown's tow service and am so grateful for this gentleman. read more

Pop! Thump, Thump, thump, thump. With that and my dashboard lighting up like a Christmas tree, I knew I had a tire problem. And with being new to the area, I had no idea who to call to get me up and running again. Lucky for me I was close to the service center on the turnpike so I parked and went inside to see if anyone there knew anyone I could call. To a person- they all yelled out " Brown's Service" so I called. I have to say I was impressed. They were there within 30 minutes, had my tire changed quickly, the tow truck driver was personable and took the time to tell me what the problem was and cautioned me that I had another tire on my car that could have the same problem in the near future. He then pumped up my spare and sent me on my way with a bill that was reasonable for the emergency service. I hate it when my car lets me down. But it's good to know that places like Browns are out there to get me on my way again and help me feel safer in this new town. read more

Update to a previous review: The alternator I was charged an arm and a leg for failed within a year. When I called about it, the service manager got very angry and told me they would not be responsible for their warranty. I hired an in town shop to replace it with a genuine Motorcraft alternator (which SHOULD be more expensive than a rebuilt Napa hunk of junk)... and they did the entire job MUCH less than Brown's did, parts+labor+everything else. Still going strong on the better alternator. read more

I was on the road to Colorado when I heard a weird noise under my car. I turned around and went back to Topeka. It was 4pm on a Tuesday. I called Browns and told them my situation. They had me come in and it was something super simple that didn't require diagnostics or much effort. They took care of it for free and I was sooooo thankful! Called and was told they were sending someone now. 20 min later we called back becuz we had bad cell service there and made sure they hadnt called us back. They seemed annoyed and said he was heading to us now. An hour and 15 min later we had things to get done, so we had to leave. The driver called us an hour and 40 min after our first call and asked where we were. Never calling Browns again. Suarez was there in 15, suggested a few shops, and was all around helpful. Go with anybody else. Not Browns. read more

Traveling across country, my engine light started blinking. Never a good thing! A local fella, Bob, from Mike's Frame Shop, told me to call Carl at Brown's Super Service. What a great referral for me! In two hours, I was on my way! Problem diagnosed, explained to me carefully, and fixed; and a couple other small issues, left from other visits to mechanics in the past, also straightened out! Everyone at Brown's was friendly and helpful, from Kay, the friendly gal in the office who let me use her computer to secure a temporary driver's license, which I suddenly realised had expired three days previously; to Carl, who expertly diagnosed and repaired my problems; to Kyle, the handsome younger Brown, who surprised me down the road by catching up to me and delivering my debit card left behind when I paid my bill!
