My son had a 4:30 appointment and, due to missing an exit, arrived at 4:40--still within the 15-minute grace period. Instead of being helped, he was left waiting for 45 minutes before being told there was an "emergency" and that the staff member scheduled to perform his whitening would not be showing up. He was then told he could either wait another hour or come back another day. This was supposed to be a $500 cash service, and my son drove three hours one way for this appointment. On top of that, he drives a high-performance vehicle, and the trip cost him over $150 in gas. The lack of professionalism, communication, and respect for his time and effort is unacceptable. This office failed to honor the scheduled service, wasted his day, and left a very poor impression. A more reasonable thing to do would have been give him a call and reschedule for another day!!! I had visited this Dentist 2017 which were exceptional, good Doctors and staff, now I am visiting since last month, horrible staff, negligence, defiance, lack of communication, lack of respect. I have seen more than ten times that the doctor precisely telling them a specific tooth and the assistance is writing a wrong one. they put you in cage and leave you one hour and watching movies. the only good person and doctor I have seen so far is Dr. Farah. they also told me that we cannot do anything until the insurance gave us our money when I have an Unlimited plan. read more

PSA: Stay as far away from this place AS possible!!!! Do not believe the stories or the hype! I am here to tell you how frustrated and how my seemingly perfect teeth have gotten such a huge rude awakening. Just to say I've had braces and invisilign so I take care of my teeth. Ok, I go to this dentist as they were the few places open on a Saturday (huge mistake). I went in for a simple cleaning (who could mess this up!?). Then cleaning was subpar at most and I felt as though my teeth weren't cleaned properly. The dentist suggested 5 fillings which seemed excessive but I figured they knew what was best considering they were a dentist and my insurance covered it! I get these fillings yeah my mouth hurt a little afterwards HOWEVER it turns out most of them were done completely wrong! I went back for extreme sensitivity about a month and a half later they tell me the fillings were perfect and I needed to wait awhile longer for them to become less inflamed.NO! They are still sensitive 3 months later here's why: There are gaps in between the filling and my teeth, they completely drilled out part of my enamel on a perfectly good tooth meaning I have a gap that was not supposed to be there. I also had to get a crown on a filling because they left holes in the filling done completely wrong. I don't who who's registered here to work but they need their license revoked! Went to brownstone dental expecting exceptional service but got the exact opposite. I started going to brownstone dental when I was pregnant in 2018, they did a couple of extractions and I received 8 crowns in the front of my mouth. My crowns got loose over time and 2 of them came out multiple times so I went back to brownstone to get them recemented back in my mouth. The second to the last time I went on a Friday, Dr.Saif himself recemented my crown back into my mouth. He even had the audacity to try to get me to pay to recement my crown yet again. The following weekend the exact same crown came back out and I had to go back to the dentist that Monday. That Monday I went to the dentist and got the same crown recemented but this time I went I had pain leaving and it continued throughout the night. I didn't think anything of it - dentists visits can hurt but as time passed within 2 days my mouth started to swell were I had the crown recemented from Monday. I contacted the dentist and told them what was happening, they said that the crown could have possibly been sitting on a cavity and I may need a root canal. They also stated that if that were the case I would have to pay for the root canal; there was nothing else they could offer or do. I was on bed rest for 2 weeks and couldn't do anything because my whole face was in excruciating pain due to the infection I had called the dentists office about in the first place. Let me start by saying that this review is LONG over due. I visited Brownstone on 11/10/2016 at the recommendation of a friend. It was close to my house and had same day appointments, and I keep hearing the radio ads, so I thought it would be good. I made an appointment with Dr. Shere. Arrived 20 minutes early and waited 45 to be seen. Fine, other patients run late, doctor runs late, I get it. Sat in the patient chair for another 45 minutes before anyone even came to see me. I was then taken for x-rays, and sat for another 20 minutes. Dr. E, a dentist that I did NOT make an appointment with came in, looked at my x-rays and my teeth for no more than 2-3 minutes, called some info back to the hygienist, and proceeded to tell me that I had 9 cavities. I have NEVER had a cavity in my life. The only dental work I've ever had was braces. I was blown away. I take good care of my teeth and just couldn't fathom having that many cavities after never having any. I sat for another 15-20 minutes, and then I was taken into the office to discuss payment and finance options to get my cavities filled. They told me it would be $200+, but they would take monthly payments. I declined and stated that I would have to schedule the fillings at another time. She handed me a box of whitening strips and took me back to the chair. I sat for another 5-10 minutes, and then Dr. E and his hygienist took me to another room, where Dr. E cleaned my teeth. Less then 10 minutes for something that, in the past, has been at least 20 minutes and done by the hygienist. After all the waiting, I didn't care anymore, I just wanted out of there. I did not make a follow up appointment, due to holidays, doubt, etc. Fast forward to today. I was uneasy about their diagnosis of 9 cavities, so I went to another dentist office for a second opinion. I was upfront with them and explained that Brownstone had stated that I had 9 cavities. The dentist came in and spent about 5 minutes checking my teeth. Wouldn't you know it, I have ZERO cavities! Not even a single one. I showed him the paper quote from Brownstone and he checked those teeth again. Still nothing. He looked at the x-rays, the hygienist looked at the x-rays, I looked at the x-rays. NOTHING THERE! I must point out the obvious here: the new dentist could have very easily said yes, you have the cavities, and I would have taken their second opinion and had them filled. But they didn't, they were honest, they didn't try to squeeze me penny insurance for extra services that I didn't need. Instead, they scheduled me for my next cleaning in May, thanked me for coming in, and I went on about my day. Moral of the story, avoid Brownstone at all costs. Sure, they have a catchy jingle, and they promise affordable dentistry, free teeth whitening with your PPO, and a free cleaning and x-ray if you don't have dental insurance. But you could have perfect teeth and end up paying to have non-existent cavities filled. Don't even get me started on what they may have done if I agreed to have the "cavities" filled there the day of diagnosis. TL; DR-just find another dentist office that you can trust and go there. read more

I have visited this dental office three times for my son's tooth cleaning. The first cleaning was amazing. The second cleaning, 6 months later, was horrible. Plaque was still blatanly visible between my son's teeth. Brownstone apologized and recleaned my son's teeth. I returned for a third cleaning (I had forgotten completely about the 2nd cleaning at this point); however, this time I was in the room with my son because I was invited in. The doctor rushed through the cleaning (5 minutes or so) and dismissed my son without polishing his teeth. I chimed and asked him if was going to polish his teeth. At that point the doctor polished my son's teeth. Had I not been in the room with my kid, we would have experienced cleaning #2 all over again. This business is NOT giving people what they are paying for - a good quality cleaning and polishing. I was very disappointed. My nightmare began when I went in for a simple teeth cleaning. When I walked in the front desk girl where arguing with someone over the phone. When they got off they started bad mouthing whoever it was. It was very unprofessional. Two people were waiting at the desk with large ice packs on their jaw. Later I learned there had been 4 root canals that day. Which seemed excessive. I'm sure not all of them were necessary after learning from the experience I'm about to share. When they took me back to the farthest room I noticed the equipment was very dated and the dental tools looked archaic. Everything looked dirty. Before cleaning my teeth, Shere took no more than 5 seconds to look at my them before saying I had 12 cavities that I need to get filled. 12 cavities?! I've never had a cavity in my life. I had no sensitivity or pain. I stopped drinking pop 15 years prior, am vegan, and maintain a high standard of hygiene. But he swore I need all of them filled. The dental assistant came in to clean my teeth before they started doing the drilling. I could have brushed my teeth better than what he did. He used a water pic and quickly skipped over my teeth then barely polished them. He didn't floss or even do standard plaque removal. When Shere and the tall Persian assistant started the fillings. I was extremely tense. They were arguing over my face as they passed tools back and forth. They kept using numbers to specify which tooth to fill. Shere yelled at the assistant multiple time for not having his numbers memorized. He kept locating the wrong tooth. I was there over 3 hours. My jaw hurt and was sore. When I go home I my retainer from having spent thousands on orthodonture work wouldn't fit. I tried eating after the anesthesia wore off but noticed a shooting pain when I would chew. I went back in to get the fillings filed down so my retainer at least fit and the pain would subside. The tall dental assistant who was there during the procedure attempted to fix the fillings. After 5 minute of tools buzzing in my mouth he goes, "Kay done! You can't tell me that doesn't feel better." As if he was so proud of his work. No. It was not "better" my retainer still didn't fit and it still hurt to chew. Another month passed before I could find time in my busy schedule to go back into this joke of a dental office. This time a lady attempted to fix the fillings. She was nice. However, my teeth still do not close properly. I now have intense sensitivity to anything cold and chewing is very painful. I spent a lot of money to have orthodonture work to align my teeth perfectly. Only for a greedy dentist who has to make his G wagon car note to rip me off and put fillings in my mouth which never belonged in the first place. Since then I have taken the X-ray to 2 other dentist who said it showed no signs of cavities. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

I came as a new patient to this dental clinic when one of my old crowns had to be replaced. I chose this clinic after I received a flyer from them in the mail. I called 4 other dental clinics, all of whom quoted much higher prices for the work I had to get done. I was also able to get the discount advertised in the flyer I received. The clinic is clean, easily accessible, and with ample free parking in the parking lot. Everyone in this clinic was very courteous and friendly, from the front desk ladies to the dentist himself. The work was done professionally with the outmost care. My new crown came back from their lab in 6 days, and I had an immediate appointment to have it put in, for a one week time for the complete process! I had a great experience at Brownstone Dental. Well this place is a hot ass mess!!! As a new patient I went in for and "free exam and xrays" that's was a lie I called my insurance company and I was billed. I got 9 fills for a reasonable price. During that visit I was told I needed 3 teeth pulled and two root canals done as well. So when my appointment day came they called and told me to go to dental art on Westheimer and it was a different dr. They had no idea I was coming or what needed to be done.. they took more xrays ..pulled 3 teeth and then told me I had to have surgery for the other two which now is one more extraction and a root canal. Discussed my days available and told me everything would be done the at the next appointment ..the next appointment the rude ass front office girl with her rolling eyes asked me what I needed done ??? So obviously they don't keep patient charts in order and she told me I needed two teeth extractions and a root canal and they ate ONLY doing the root canal today. And it would be $247. That's not what we discussed before but what ever just get it done I been in pain since the first time I left their office. I gave her my care credit to charge and she proceeded to tell me it's a $500 minimum lmao!! Oh the scams going on in here.. so the dr comes and says I don't know what else u need done but I'm doing the root canal so which tooth is it?? I'm pretty sure that's their job to know right? Had a great experience at Brownstone. It was my first time coming but was referred by a lot of people so I gave it a try. Came in on a Thursday to get my tooth pulled(walk in) at about 11:00am. About 11:45 I was in the back to do X-ray and exam. Shortly after the oh so friendly Doc came in to introduce himself and go over my options. Soon after the receptionist came in to discuss pricing for both root canal and pulling. I already had my mind set on getting it pulled because I was paying out of pocket and knew a root canal was way outta my budget. Receptionist ended up working out a deal for the removal of my tooth to a cheaper price than she brought in and my next words were "let's do it". Process went great I absolutely loved the Doc who pulled my tooth. He made the process very smooth and told me everything that he would do next. I would definitely return again! I have been going to Brownstone for the past couple of years. I show up today for my 6 month check up (which I scheduled 6 mo ago) & I walked back out. Apparently it isn't their practice to verify your insurance before coming in. The new receptionist tells me since I already had insurance on file, they won't call me to ask if it's still good. Well apparently they didn't call the insurance company either because they if did they did they would've told them that the ins of file is no longer active. I told them at my last appt (6months) that it wasn't going to be good for the next time since I was leaving that job. This is the 2nd time that they have done this and I am done. I had a nerve exposed in a wisdom tooth, spent the evening searching for someone that would see me. I actually made an online request for an appointment with Brownstone Dental. The next morning they called me to let me know they received my request, and were able to accommodate me. Dr. Munoz was pretty funny, but more than anything he allayed my fears, talked me through the process, and got it done quickly. I made an appointment as a new patient and took advantage of the coupon for the free exam and xray that is offered not only on yelp but their website as well. The wait was moderate for someone who had made an appointment that morning I feel like I was pushed behind the walk-ins that were there. Once called back the dentist was quick in his diagnosis and personable he prescribed antibiotics and we were done in maybe 5 minutes. The reason I giving just 1 star is because when I get ready to leave I am informed that I must pay for the written prescription! This dentist is absolutely horrible! Being on a budget, I was drawn in by the price but this doctor really does lack bedside manner. One time I went for an early appointment and I saw the doctor sleeping in his office! Other than that, he also did a horrible job on my fillings. I had a Saturday appt this week and when I arrived, I was told that I needed to wait for insurance verification, despite the fact that they had seen me before and had my insurance on file. I waited over two am a half hours for the verification, before they would let me have any treatment. It was a major hassle. We arrived at 8:45 am and waited in our car. At 9:03 am, a guy arrives in the office and we went in. I asked him why they would give us a 9:00 am appointment only to arrive at 9:03 am? Let me repeat - they gave us a 9:00 am appointment knowing the doctor would not be there until 10:00 am. To say they are unprofessional is to put it mildly. i was interviewed by brittney clark (regional manager) in september. i was quickly hired the same day and i started the next day. I arrived to work at 8 o'clock am. I waited an hour until the staff showed up. I quickly did what I had to do followed my office manager and regional manager orders. Put labels on the bottles, answer phones, verify insurance, made goodie bags. The regional manger gave me my schedule at the end of the day. I worked Tuesday - Saturday. Brittney Clark told me I could take X-rays of patients and I was not certified to do that. She was also in the sterilization room and exam room when they were doing a procedure. The following day I arrived to work at 8 o'clock am again. Manually typed in fee schedules to the system, answered phones and put the labels on the rest of the bottles. The office manager told me to leave at 1 and I will be getting an e-mail Monday. I received an e-mail stating that all of the new hires will be put on hold and will be given a call back as soon as production picks up. They will mail me my last check. I went to the office 3 weeks later on a Friday. Picked up my check and noticed it said working interview. I was not notified by Britney Clark that I was doing a working interview. She hired me on the spot and did not notify me at all I was doing a working interview. I gave her a call to ask for a clear explanation of what happened. She was completely rude to me on the phone she stated that "Your lucky I didn't take taxes off of your check" , "I never said you were hired." To my acknowledge I completed a new hire packet and also gave a copy of my social security and ID. Filled out a w-4 form and received a policy and procedures handbook. After she screamed and rudely talked to me on the phone for about 10 minutes I had to just hang up. She is completely manipulating her authority and shouldn't be regional manger. I contacted several lawyers and they couldn't do anything about it. Not only was she rude to me on the phone but my check came out very short. Horrible...and I mean horrible experience! I scheduled an appointment for my son for a Saturday. His appointment was set up for 12:30, we arrived about 12:10 because I knew I had to fill out paperwork. There were lots of walk-ins. I heard the ladies at the front discussing whether they should pass a walk in because it was a fast procedure. Well we ended up not getting called into a room until 1:30. We sat in the room for another 25 minutes before anyone came in. A nurse finally came in and did some xrays on my son and walked out. About 15 minutes later the Doctors assistant walked in and decided to text with her back towards me like I didn't know what she was doing for 2 minutes before doing more xrays. When she was done she said the Dr would be there shortly. We sat there for a while and I walked out maybe 10 minutes after the Dr didn't show up. I also noticed that when the nurse did the xrays on patients all she was doing was wiping the mouth piece with antibacterial wipes in between patients which is disgusting! I Never write reviews about any place but Brownstone has to be the WORST Dental office ever!!! I visited the their new office in East Fwy with my mom and I do NOT recommend it to anyone. The office its self was ok looking for being a brand new office, the Doctor was very nice & polite (white guy, didnt get his name), The girl working in the front seemed new but was trying very hard to answer all our questions and concerns. She was very nice also. Now the "Regional Manager" She was a B* she was so rude and unproffesional. She had no idea what she was doing when explaining my mom the treatment. She was very money hungry trying any excuse to get my mom to pay NOW. She practically tried to force my mom to apply for some credit lines so she can get all her work done the same day after we told her 20x that she had to go to work. She didnt show no intrest in helping my mom instead she was ready to collect the money. (Im glad we didnt mention to her we had insurance) Not to mention a guy walked right in didnt say a word to anyone in the waiting area, walked right back out started talking on his phone and smoking a cigarrette!!!
