I didn't feel like driving to Lowes or Home Depot. I called and they said they have it. I stopped and told them what I called about and they had it waiting for me. Cost me $2 and some change. How great is that. This place was something out of a movie. Small hardware store that looks to date back to the early 50's potentially. Nice that these types of places still exist. Sometimes unless you look like a contractor help at some places is hard to get…read more Not here at this Menards, I had my list ready for a deck build and Valerie T. stepped up to the counter assisted me with our order and even walked us over to where the joist hangers were, since I had missed them by an aisle as I was picking up other items. Mikel was our cashier with his friendly smile and polite attitude. It wasn't just because he was in air conditioning on a hot day because later he was in the garden area as a cashier. I didn't mention it was 90 degrees this day but out to the lumber yard Clayton rescued us and not only help us load the lumber but he took the loader over and picked up the 60 lbs bags of concrete and loaded them so we didn't have to drive our truck. Duncan and Bryan T. also impressed us with their friendly help and really made our shopping experience delightful. Although known of them accepted my offer to help build our deck they took that suggested with laughter. The value even without the 11% rebate was better than in our area on this date but sometimes the dollar talks in this case the staff will also be why we will return.

I had recently purchased a larger mailbox to replace the one we currently have. Upon opening it up to install it I found that it was damaged. I had purchased this mailbox at a different Lowe's location and decided that since I was going to be out running anyway that whichever Lowe's location I came across first would be the one I would exchanged it for. That just happened to be the Belle Vernon location. I came in with my big boxed mailbox and just wanted to do an even exchange. However, and I did not know this, if an item is damaged they have to refund your money and you just go an purchase a new item. A bit odd, but whatever, I was going to be doing that anyway. This interaction was quite the pleasant interaction that I was happy to be here. The associate took her time to explain the process so that I wouldn't be mislead in any way. And it set the pace for the rest of my time here. Once I made it through that I headed back to where they have their mailbox display. I find the one I wanted and of course the two that are on the shelves for purchase are damaged their self. I looked around for assistance, found one of those buttons and pushed it until someone showed up. This associate that showed up went above and beyond to help me. I explained that I had just returned a mailbox because of damage and that the two on the shelves were already damaged. I could see that on the top shelves there were several other of the same type I was in need of. This associate pulled over one of those rolling stairs, climbed to the top, grabbed two or three boxed mailboxes and brought them all down. Here is where he went above and beyond. He opened the box to let me inspect it to make sure it wasn't damaged. Not just opened the box, but pulled the mailbox out, showed me all angles, and the inside. I had confidence that this mailbox was in fact not damaged. When I got to the register they customer service did not stop there. Quick and fast. Asking if I found what I needed. And was quick to pick up on that I basically just did an even exchange when I handed her the exact change. If this location wasn't so far out of the way for me, this would be my first pick anytime I needed to go to a Lowe's
