Lowe's Home Improvement is a retail-store chain that sells home-improvement merchandise such as tools, appliances, flooring, window treatments, lumber, doors, electrical supplies, plumbing supplies, outdoor equipment, and much more. I must admit that ever since years ago when a different Lowe's store gave me defective carpet, unprofessionally interacted with me, and gave me only a small discount, I have not been a fan of Lowe's, and I greatly reduced my shopping there. Nonetheless, I shopped at this particular store one time. The aisles were fully stocked with quality merchandise such as Halloween decorations, light fixtures, BBQ grills, patio furniture, bathroom and kitchen cabinets, washing machines, vacuums, flooring, doors, and much more. The prices were average compared to what other retailers charge. When I was browsing kitchen cabinets, the employee there offered me assistance multiple times. Wow, people in the Mon Valley really seem to hate this store. I have no reason why, unless it is just people purposely bashing the business for no other reason. I had recently purchased a larger mailbox to replace the one we currently have. Upon opening it up to install it I found that it was damaged. I had purchased this mailbox at a different Lowe's location and decided that since I was going to be out running anyway that whichever Lowe's location I came across first would be the one I would exchanged it for. That just happened to be the Belle Vernon location. I came in with my big boxed mailbox and just wanted to do an even exchange. However, and I did not know this, if an item is damaged they have to refund your money and you just go an purchase a new item. A bit odd, but whatever, I was going to be doing that anyway. This interaction was quite the pleasant interaction that I was happy to be here. The associate took her time to explain the process so that I wouldn't be mislead in any way. And it set the pace for the rest of my time here. Once I made it through that I headed back to where they have their mailbox display. I find the one I wanted and of course the two that are on the shelves for purchase are damaged their self. I looked around for assistance, found one of those buttons and pushed it until someone showed up. This associate that showed up went above and beyond to help me. I explained that I had just returned a mailbox because of damage and that the two on the shelves were already damaged. I could see that on the top shelves there were several other of the same type I was in need of. This associate pulled over one of those rolling stairs, climbed to the top, grabbed two or three boxed mailboxes and brought them all down. Here is where he went above and beyond. He opened the box to let me inspect it to make sure it wasn't damaged. Not just opened the box, but pulled the mailbox out, showed me all angles, and the inside. I had confidence that this mailbox was in fact not damaged. When I got to the register they customer service did not stop there. Quick and fast. Asking if I found what I needed. And was quick to pick up on that I basically just did an even exchange when I handed her the exact change. If this location wasn't so far out of the way for me, this would be my first pick anytime I needed to go to a Lowe's read more

I'm and my wits end with this store. no more cashiers to wait on you and the help they do have in the store is not very good and or polite. I will take my business to Menards. Last week LOWES had 3 SUPERVISORS watching people go thru the self checkouts with no one on the registers. Lowes will be gone down the road. read more

They always have what you need. Workers are helpful and nice. Customer service is fast and efficient. Curbside is great, they watch where you are and are literally outside waiting with your order when you get there. Locked pickup is quick and easy. Store is clean and spiffy. read more

Second time this week here and both times one cashier working the speaker keeps saying code 3 to the front but no one comes, how about instead using floor workers to try to bail you out with the management trying to keep there The budget down hire cashiers it's not like you did not know this is your season this Lowe's is like this all the time. He got another associate in hardware and she seemed not to want to be bothered neither her name was Maggie. Everyone wants paid but won't work. I just spent over 4000 dollars between appliances and new kitchen cabinets. Now I'm regretting my decision. Although my appliances came from bethels location and their appliances guy was great. I ordered counter tops las June, Lowes promised a 5-week hang time. 20 weeks later, still no counter tops. The installer contacted me and said at least 5 more weeks. Will be requesting a refund on Lowes dog and pony show. They are marketing a product they don't have and can't get. read more

I like to stop in the spring and look at there plants on sale. They always have a great selection on gardening supplies and patio furniture. There my one stop shop for home improvements and the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of parking and easy to get in and out of. read more

After over 20 years of staying loyal to Lowes; no more. Yet another bad trip to store in Belle Vernon, PA. Went to pickup some carpet, a few 2x4s and a pre-hung door. Waited a half hour in the flooring department and never seen a soul. I guess you now need to cut your own 60' of carpet, but I have no idea how that's done. Gave up on the carpet and went to grab a door. First, they didn't have the one I wanted in stock. Ok that happens, went to the next grade up and they were all damaged. Went to the next grade and found a door. Now I had to go find a cart. Nearly every cart was sitting on the floor loaded. After some effort found a cart. Now I'm in my 60's on a 2-pound weight limit, and I have to muscle a solid core pre-hung door off the upper shelf and onto the cart. Once again, no assistance anywhere. Now the doors a near the back left corner of the store and I had to go nearly all the way to the far-right corner in order to turn up. Why, every aisle was cluttered with displays, ladders, loaded carts and clutter that made it impossible to get the cart from the front of the store to the front. Forgot to mention while finding the cart I grabbed a couple 2x4s, have no idea what the grade was or how much they cost, nothing was marked. Three hours now and I finally have a door and a couple 2x4's and am in the front of the store. Check outs are all closed except for the self-checkout. People everywhere trying to check out, machine aren't working right and the only person in the front of the store is more involved with her phone than helping the customers. Looking at the cart. 2x4's are unmarked so I'm not going to be able to scan them. This door weighs a ton and I need to find a way to pick it up and run it across the scanner. I gave up. After over 20 years as a customer and tens of thousands spent there over the years I through. I'll start shopping at Home Depot or 84 Lumber. read more

I am disappointed to say that I have received the worst customer service from the BV Lowes that I think I ever experienced. I placed an order for kitchen cabinets and all new bathroom appliances and vanity the first week of March. After the cabinets were sent to the wrong state, they finally arrived last Thursday. The wrong base for the shower we ordered was sent twice and I am now waiting for delivery #3. 10 days ago, I was notified that the vanity I ordered in March is no longer being sold. Today I called Annette to order my counter top and expressed my disappointment in the quality of Lowes service and she hung up on me. Absolute disaster that is still not resolved as I type this. I ordered a storm door on May 10th. I go in a few days later when it comes in to pay for everything and get delivery/installation set up. I find out at this time that the wrong door was ordered. I specifically said which door I wanted multiple times. Whatever, I'm a very patient person. I pay for everything and was told 19 days for door to come in. I'm annoyed but oh well, not an emergency to have this door. 2-3 weeks goes by and I hear nothing so I start calling. Every time I call I get some BS excuse or I'm told that I will get a call later in the day to set something up and nothing happens. Today I called for maybe the 10th time over the past week to figure this out and I get transferred to their installation center. The lady I spoke with tells me that the installer had be re-assigned and never had been sent my information. How nice! I'm absolutely annoyed by how awful the costumer service has been and I'm wondering if I'll ever get my storm door. 0 stars if I could, do NOT reccommend purchasing any installation through this Lowe's. Beware! Edit: (June 20th) Still waiting to hear from the installer. The installer was changed on June 4th, and they weren't notified of the change until June 18th, when I called. STILL waiting on the installation. Edit: June 25th. I was told on Friday that my door would be installed Monday (contractor never contacted me, I had to call the installation hotline to find this or) and door is STILL not installed. Will be calling corporate tomorrow. Edit: June 26th. Another phone call to the installation hotline and another time that I was told that a voicemail was left with the installer and he would call me today (not holding my breath...) Edit: June 27th. Still no door. Edit: June 28th. They show up, with the WRONG SIZE door. Unbelievable. Measured the wrong house. Edit: July 2nd. Still no door. I get told I'm getting the more expensive version that was in stock, Monday or Tuesday. We'll see tomorrow. Edit: July 3rd. No door, STILL don't have the correct measurements. Installer came over again, left some stuff on my front railing, then left when realizing the door her had STILL wouldn't fit. I called corporate and requested a refund. This is been the absolute worst experience through this particular Lowe's starting from the beginning. What a joke of a store. Get your shit together people. read more

Most workers were not wearing masks properly. Masks obviously do not matter as half the store was mask less. I felt very unsafe. Ridiculous.

Extremely disappointed. We ordered a door in March. Took months to come in and arrived damaged which I understand can happen so it gets reordered. Finally supposedly arrives in August. THREE times now the installer has called to schedule installation and then I get a call a week later that the door isn't even in yet. Happened just this week we scheduled for install on sept 4th and I just got a call that the door is due to come in sept 8th. The sales rep Dan pretends to have no idea what's going on when you call but this last call the store specifically stated Dan just called to notify them of the date. Extremely disappointed especially since I had to pay for it already. You guys need to get your sh*t together and stop making the installer be the middle man. Lowe's sucks. We have called over and over for several days, and nobody will answer. We called again and were rerouted to the main swiitchboard. This lady was very rude, acting like we were putting her out. She told us, "I already have three calls on hold," and would not listen to where we wanted to be connected. She was rude and acted like we were really putting her out. We have called since then, to each separate department, just to see if someone would answer, and hopefully connect us to the right department. No answer again. This went on for several days. You cannot get through to ask anyone questions on products, so don't even try. We have been going to Home Depot now, where the employees are much more helpful and friendlier. We are done with you, Lowe's. You better wise up if you want to stay in business. read more

Lowe's, you can do better. Service has taken a real dive since you first opened and had knowledgeable people manning the department they're in vs teenagers who know very little or older retired guys who dont give a f**k. I have rentals so I need to go in a couple of times a week, and my experience is over a good many visits . My biggest surprise was recently buying a refrigerator from scratch and dent and getting it home to find stains and disgusting material behind shelves and the ice maker.
