She was informative and encouraged me to ask all the questions I needed to. All the horror stories I read online were for the traditional tattoo method. Karly is highly skilled at the SofTap method. Very different from the traditional tattoo method. SofTap is noiseless, non-invasive, and gives clients the most natural look in permanent cosmetics. I got my eyebrows and lips done. Karly used a lot of numbing products so I virtually felt nothing. I almost fell asleep during the process. Karly is a perfectionist and makes sure you look natural and are happy with your look when you walk out the door. She sent me home with a care sheet and ointment for my brows and numbing ointment for my lips. After care is to keep my brows dry for 4 days then use the ointment and numbing cream for 48 hours to keep my lips moist and help with any after pain. Honestly, the only after pain is minor prickly feeling on my lips and brows. Which is essentially no pain at all. I'm def grateful I made the decision to get my lips and brows done with Karly. First off let me say that this is not a fancy spa environment, but if you are ok with that and like the home feeling of a family run salon like I do, its definitely worth the trip!! good cost and quality!! America is experienced with permanent makeup and she definitely knows what she is doing. Her and her daughter are so friendly and sweet! America was very warm and attentive and explained to me each step of what she was doing throughout the permanent make up process. I felt very comfortable and confident in her hands. First she applied a numbing agent to my brows before we waxed them to perfect the shape. I was all ready to go but she actually was the one who really wanted to take the time to be absolutely certain that my brows were perfect and uniform with each other. I've always had one a little higher than the other and she was able to fix it better than I have ever had before. When the wax was good then she filled it in with pencil as guidelines for the tattoo machine. Here came the hard part. Not the tattoo but the lidocaine injections. Not gonna lie- they hurt so bad!!! But America was absolutely right that while the sting was intense, it went away in less than 10 seconds. By the time all the injections were done and we had picked out the ink color that matched the best and was the most natural, that tattoo machine didnt bother me one bit! Even kind of tickled a little bit. WORTH IT! My brows healed just like the take home instructions said that America gave me. Now they are perfect and natural looking, I am so happy to not have to pencil them in every day anymore!!
