I wanted to wait until the whole healing process was over before I made my review. In short, Eva is the best! Awesome experience. Eva walked my through all of my concerns, and my brows look fantastic. My friends and family all tell me how natural my brows look. I picked Eva bc she had an amazing portfolio. I was looking for an artist that was able to work with practically alopecia-type eyebrows and still have a natural look. Microshading was a great option, as it's a combination between ombre (filled in sparse/ nonexistent areas) and microblading (for natural hair strokes). I have had very light hair my whole life, and I draw in my eyebrows every day. I was nervous about getting a tattoo on my face, and in all honesty, the healing process was an emotional roller coaster. If you plan to get microshaded, plan for 2 weeks without any big plans. Your brows will be crazy dark and too thick, then scabby and dry, then too light after the scabs fall off. The ink will slowly deepen back in with time, and I had looked up everything before heading in, but I was still nervous throughout the process. I knew I trusted my artist and that gave peace of mind. Final product is amazing and great experience, minus the healing process---but that's to be expected from any microblading artist. I chose Eva because of all the positive feedback on Yelp. Background on me 48YO, never had a tattoo, prone to anxiety and panic attacks; generally a high functioning nervous person. I am a fair hair and my eyebrows have always been a whitish blond. I always would pencil them in with a light brown pencil and I was just sad because I didn't have too much to work with nor am I a talented with makeup. This was a big step for me, but I decided to book an appointment for microshading on their fantastic website, which can be accessed on the Yelp page under "More Info". Truly an effortless process and you can sign up for reminder texts, which I find very helpful. Once at the salon, which is extremely clean and sanitary, I was greeted my Eva. I brought a few pictures of brows to show her on my phone, but inevitably told her to pick what is best for me and my facial contour. Part One: Numbing & Consultation Eva put some gel on my eyebrows to numb them, which takes 20 minutes, during this time I filled out the obligatory paperwork, as well as discussed the procedure with Eva. Part Two: Rough Sketch & Outlining the Brows & Color Selection After 20 minutes we went back to the table, Eva made sure I was totally comfortable and then she began to sketch out by brows on me. She showed me the rough lines and they looked perfect for a rough sketch. During this time, she applied more lidocaine to my brows. Also, Eva listened to my color requests and nailed the color on her first try. Part Three: Micrblading First was microblading the front of my left eye, which was mildly uncomfortable. The right eye was a totally different situation for me. I feared I would leave with only one brow completed. Righty was pissed. Beforehand Eva shows you the brand new blade she'll be using. Part Four: Microshading: Second is the microshading. Microshading is done with a machine like wand. The noise it makes is more like a humming buzz, not anything like a dentist's drill. Both my brows were cranky this time. Eva kindly accommodated by adding more lidocaine and taking more time. Part Five: Review & Tweek. I asked for a couple more strokes of microblading and a little more color on the front part of my brows. I guess the net net is you do a round of microblading on each eye, then 3 rounds on each eye of microshading, more rounds as needed if your brows do not take to the color quickly. After the initial 20 minutes of numbing the procedure takes about 2 more hours. There are breaks and you're able to see the results in between , if you like. Eva is always concerned about your comfort and pain level. My right side was quite cranky and she made sure to use more lidocaine as needed. The pain for me would be a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10. People vary, some people even sleep through it. Would I do it again? Absolutely with no hesitation. Totally worth it! Also, I wish you could give Eva 10 stars. She's truly an artist. read more

If you have problems booking an appointment through the internet try using a different internet browser. Don't let the location intimidate anyone, its located in the industrialized part of third ward. I felt completely safe the entire time I was there. The salon itself was absolutely fabulous, super clean and chic. Make sure you get there on time! Eva puts on a numbing medication that sits for about 20 mins and you fill out paperwork while it sits. Eva is amazing. I kinda knew a little bit about how everything happens with eyebrow blading but it sure to make sure you're completely educated before she starts. She's so nice and really easy to talk to. I never once felt uneasy or awkward around her. Throughout the procedure she gives the mirror to you during certain times to make sure it's the shape that you want. I gave her complete artistic freedom. First she measures certain parts of your face and makes a sketch on your face of the outline of the brows. It looks a little weird because it's not filled in but TRUST ME, she knows what shes doing. You have the opportunity during the entire time to make adjustments. I never needed to, she did an amazing job finding a wonderful shape and the tint color was matched perfectly to my eyebrow hair. There is numbing ointment during this entire process. There's a bit of discomfort but nothing anywhere near painful! If something starts to feel painful let her know and she puts more ointment on for you. I never had a problem with it. If you have tattoos, you shouldn't worry. Her hand work is something else, she really follows the natural hair strokes and I really couldn't tell the difference between my actual hair and the microblading. I am so so pleased with my results by Eva! I walked in terrified because I don't like needles or blades or anything sharp and Eva was so patient and understanding.
