They sanded her exterior teak and applied coats of cetol - for a boat that spent most of her days in the BVI with peeling gray teak, this was a big job - and they did it very well. Finally, there was some water damage to her cabin sole, and Corey did a great job lightly sanding and re-varnishing to protect from further damage. His prompt and frequent communications, complete with photographs, was very appreciated as we live several hours from Annapolis. And, to top off the great service, his prices are reasonable. I was referred to Phipps Boat Works at Herrington Harbour North, Deale/Tracys Landing, Maryland. Phipps is known as a family run business and Buster Phipps' son, Shawn, is known as a superb welder. I was able to get Buster and Shawn to look at the boat very quickly. We discussed a couple of different options and concluded that replacing the bent rail with a new piece of stainless steel was the best option. Buster gave me a bid for the work that was very reasonable and said that if Shawn could get it done quicker than the estimated time, that would be reflected in the final bill. If you came aboard and tried to find the replaced section right now, the only clue you would find is that the new piece is currently cleaner than the rest of the railing. And, the final bill was 30% less than the estimate! These folks live up to their reputation of being extremely easy to work with, exquisite craftsman and true to their word. You cannot do better than that!

Dolphins, osprey with fish in their talons, lighthouses, a drawbridge, and a chill approach to life. He navigated us Tilghman island... let us rest, eat and swim... then returned us safely to our lives in DC. The 38 ft sloop is awesome, well cared for and handled great in some chop. I will absolutely sail with captain Paul again. I highly recommend sailing with him.
