Very bad experience. I stopped by to get and estimate and agreed to have them repair my vehicle…read more(minor damage to rear bumper, tail gate and right rear quarter panel). When I came to pick up my vehicle, I noticed that the plastic cover on top of the rear bumper had not been replace and was just attached with a plastic wire tie (which was the condition when I dropped the vehicle off). When I asked why that was not replace, I was asked if it was on the estimate. Not knowing that I needed to tell them it needed to be replaced, I assumed it was included in the estimate,. As our conversation continued, I agreed to have them order the part. At that time, I was met, by an older gentleman (not sure if he was the owner or who), with a really bad attitude stating that I should have reviewed the estimate and saw that it was not included and that they would not order the part. They told me that I should have requested they replace the part. He refused to complete the job, even though I was willing to pay for the additional part which should have been part of the estimate. He said, we are done. We will not order the part. You need to pay us and go to the dealership to order the part and handle yourself. During all my years on this earth, I have never been treated this way by anyone, anywhere. He tried to make it my fault that I did not request the broken piece to be replaced even though my request was to fix the damage. I will never give this company anymore business and will make sure that everyone I know is aware of the very bad attitude and unprofessional service they will encounter at Richardson's Body Shop.

All I wanted was to find out if it was fixable, I had a picture of the broken part. The girl said we don't give estimates off of pictures. I mentioned, didn't want an estimate just wanted to see if it was fixable. Seems it was too much trouble for the heavy set guy behind the desk to come and take a look and give his opinion. If I had read Dustin's review first I would not have gone.

I will say the staff was friendly (most of the time). They were quick to respond. I did not pay for…read morethe repairs as it was an insurance claim. I will share my experience and let you make your mind up. 8/11 I dropped my vehicle off. 8/14 I asked for an estimate on when the vehicle would be ready. I was told 7-10 days. 8/25 The insurance company contacted me and told me my car would not be fixed due to a new estimate (first I heard anything about it). After a little while the insurance company called me back to tell me the secretary had sent the wrong estimate and they could proceed with fixing the car. 8/26 I was told the insurance company had approved the new/correct estimate. I was told the car would be ready in 10 days (best case scenario). 9/5 I asked for an update. I was told parts had just arrived and they couldn't give me an estimate for when the car would be ready. 9/10 I asked if the car would be ready by 9/15 because my rental car would be due. I was told "No way. This is a lot of work and I'm not going to rush it. I will get the rental extended." Rental was extended through 9/24. 9/22 I asked if the car would be ready on 9/24 when rental was due. I was told "Probably not. I need a few more days." Rental was extended through 9/30. 9/29 I asked if the car would be ready when my rental was due. I was told he would be "painting it tomorrow." Rental was extended again. 10/6 I asked when the car would be ready and was told 10/10. 10/9 I asked what time the car would be ready (I was trying to make plans to ensure I had a ride). I was told "Painting it today (previously told he was painting on 9/30), cleaning up tomorrow, back window was broken putting in a panel. Still have to put in the window. I'll call you when it's done." 10/10 I returned my rental because I wasn't told the car would be ready and I had to do it when I had a ride. After I returned the rental I received a text saying the window would be in late that afternoon and would be put in first thing 10/12. He offered one of his rentals that I declined because I didn't need one that weekend. 10/13 His secretary called me and told me the car wouldn't be ready until 10/14 because he had received the wrong bumper 3 times (the first time I heard anything about a bumper in all the times I had asked for an update). 10/14 I asked if the car was ready and was told it was still in the window shop (previously told the window would be put in on 10/12). 10/15 I told him I was going to need a rental. When I went to pick up the rental the secretary told me she had just started working there and didn't know anything other than the truck he told her to give me. The truck was wrapped in advertisements for his company. I declined to take the vehicle as I didn't feel comfortable with it. 10/17 I asked for an update and was told the car was still at the window shop. I asked if he could call them or let me know where it was and I would call (the glass was supposed to be in 5 days prior). He responded "I've called. They had to get a new glass. I can handle my business. Thanks though. This is 400 out of my pocket. I didn't ask you to pay (he is the one who broke the glass). The insurance company was going to total your car (insurance company told me this happened because his company sent the wrong estimate). I took a lot less to fix it for you. Again, appreciate your patience. I will give an update when I get one." I explained that I was simply trying to get an update. He did reach out and have the glass shop call me after these texts. 10/22 I called the glass shop and they told me he had picked up the car on 10/21. I asked him for an update on what was going on and when the car would be done. I got no update, but was told the car would be ready 10/24 at 3 PM. 10/24 I reached out to double check that the car would be ready. I was told it would be ready at 4PM. When I got there to pick up the car, it was ready and running. When I got in the vehicle the time was wrong, the tire pressure light was on, and the maintenance due light was on. I thought it was strange, but took the car. I was planning to check it more after I left his place. I got to my destination and shut the car off. I checked the tires, they were supposed to have 32 PSI. 2 of the tires were at 14 and one was at 48. The tires were fine when we dropped it off. I tried to start the car and it was dead. I called my son to jump the car and took it to Advanced. I asked them to check the battery. He asked me to shut off the car and turn it back on. The car would not start. It needed a new battery. I know batteries go bad. However, since the time was wrong and the vehicle was running when I picked it up, I think he probably knew something was wrong with the battery. I wish he would have said something. After more than 2 months I have my car back. It is good, for now. I am not a professional, but I believe things could have run more smoothly than they did.

They said it would be ready in two weeks. It is now 19 August and I still don't have it back. About a week after I dropped it off, they told me they found more damage when they dissassembled the damaged parts and had to order more parts. Everytime I call to check on my vehicle, they say they're waiting on a part and it's out of their control. Taking this long to repair a vehicle is unacceptable. They have done nothing to compensate me for not having my vehicle ready in a timely manner. I've had to pay for a rental car for a month after the insurance company stopped paying for a month so that's about $2000.00.
