We ate here everyday of our mountain getaway. Breakfast, lunch, I didn't get dinner here but they…read morehave delicious looking casseroles that you take home & pop into the oven. Yum! And no joke, they looked super delicious. Cheesy, creamy, meat and carbs: omg. Lots of wine and beer. Tons and tons of gifts and trinkets to take home and commemorate your mountain visit. I didn't photograph much of it but they had great items. There's a bar to eat or sip your coffee right near the front or a large side room with ample seating. The breakfast biscuit sandwiches were off the chart! If they weren't homemade biscuits, I don't want to know because they were delicious. Definitely stop in here. Even if just for a vitamin water or a memento, it's a fab little market. They've got you covered!

Grabbed a bite to eat after a hike at desoto falls! Very yummy and fresh food! Several people got…read morethe soup of the day (taco) with cornbread, Italian sandwich with chips, stuffed pork baked potato, and pizza. I got the cold Cessear salad wrap with chicken and it was very tasty! Limited seating so our party of 12 had to split up. The gift shop had lots of local nick nack stuff too! You can also get things to go in the grocery market store like deli meats and cheeses. I saw some people buying eggs and bread. Greta place! Would highly recommend if you need a light lunch!

The cashier was very rude and spoke down to me like I was an idiot, for asking 1 simple question…read moreabout the price. There was 2 prices on a big can of tomatoes; one said BB's $0.90, the other was written in sharpie on top for $3.50. So a pretty big difference in price, almost 4x more. All I asked was which was the correct price? She said the top price of $3.50 (which would've been fine if she left it at that). I said "Oh okay, I don't want it because that's a big difference." She snapped back "This isn't BB it's BBS! See how there isn't an S on the sticker? That's not our sticker" I pointed at the s in the BB's sticker, and said "There is an s, it's just small. So I was just a little confused on the price, but it's fine, I don't want it." Then she said "I'm not peeling off all these stickers and don't expect the other employees here to do it either! I've been doing this for 14 years and we get pallets stacked full of cans we don't have time for that. People who shop here know how the prices work" I paid for my stuff and said "Well this is only my second time here so I wasn't sure" she then said "Well now you know, and I'll have to go put this back for you". We recently moved to Alabama from GA, and we frequently shopped at very similar discount stores in GA all the time. They've always been friendly, and provided great service. The first time we shopped at BBS, some of the food we bought was bad. We took a gamble buying their cheap expired food, so that's the risk we took. The Mumbo candy was hard as a rock, we couldn't even bite into it, and the cookies we bought tasted off & stale. But everything else we bought was good. We stopped by today as we were passing by, we just needed some canned tomatoes, but in a rush. If y'all don't want to remove the original price tags that's fine, but don't get an attitude when a customer is confused and asks about it. The prices at BBS are still cheap compared to retail, but we're probably not going to return due to the attitude I was given. There are plenty of other discount food stores we can shop at instead. You need to respect your customers if you want them to come back. As a small business owner myself, I'd never give my customers attitude, no matter what.
