Super cute cafe and great place to grab brunch! Our Airbnb host recommended on her guidebook so we thought we'd give it a try. We got the full brunch breakfast which includes orange juice (or mimosa), tea (or coffee), breads and jam and yogurt, and one entree (we got the eggs Benedict with salmon). Everything was delicious - the eggs Benedict with salmon was fresh, and the croissant flaky, crispy, and so good. The jams were fresh and light. And the Pineapple Express smoothie was really good too. I would definitely recommend coming here!

Best brunch of a lifetime! Small, quaint with lovely staff. Food is fresh with highest quality ingredients. Delicious start to finish. We had the full brunch and it starts with fresh squeezed orange juice and fresh bread and pastries. Worth the wait- small place but so worth the wait.

The brunch club was one of the first locations myself and my fellow expat coworkers enjoyed for brunch upon moving to the city. I wasn't sure what to expect from brunch abroad but I was happy to see most of my brunch favorites on the menu. We drank too many mimosas and talked way too loud, a very successful brunch indeed. The location of this treat is perfect, dead center, not too far from Gran via.

Amazing brunch spot low key near Gran Via Madrid. Excellent service and full menu includes a beer a late and the granola yogurt and fruit. Plus asorted pastries. I ordered to go! Because it's for my mom. And the coffee to go delicious as well they have almond milk. All for almost 22€ Sounds like a plan! Brunch

Aw, to have found this place sooner. Near Puerta Del Sol Plaza and Gran Via on side street. It looks small from the outside yet there are 3 dining areas. Best poached eggs & bacon on crisp toast served with greens. Fresh squeezed OJ. Perfect coffee. 23 Euros for two orders of eggs, 2 coffees, 2 OJ's, and as if that wasn't enough a berry yogurt smoothie. Great staff. Menu in Spanish & English. Perfect!

This place couldn't be more adorable and I'm not one to throw around cute words. My boyfriend had the large brunch and I had the small and it was the perfect amount of food and exactly what we were looking for after a bunch of traveling. They make their mimosas with fresh squeezed orange juice . There is a full menu so that if you don't want any of the 'pre fix' brunch choices, you have plenty to choose from. Friendly service and an overall great find.

Stopped at this cafe for brunch before flying out. They have different brunch convos, but in general it'll include a main, coffee or tea, and orange juice or a mimosa or a cava. I subbed my orange juice for a detox juice instead. The found the eggs to be a little under seasoned and the hollandaise a little watery. But brunch places aren't super common in Madrid, so for what it was, it was good! And it was a really good deal pricewise.

Ate here today, I took the mini brunch and my wife had the full brunch. Everything was delicious! The waiter was very nice and everything came right on time. Freshly squeezed orange juice, best hot chocolate milk! We both had the eggs Benedict with bacon which was amazing and my wife's full brunch had also yogurt with fresh fruit plus a basket of toasted bread with 3 kinds of ham and butter on the side! This place was amazing! We will defiantly visit again!

A retreat in the middle of the city.

My boyfriend and I are big on brunch and had been having a hard time finding a good brunch place in Spain. We now have a winner! The ambiance was inviting. Thus, we decided to go in even though there were no Yelp reviews. Glad to be the first :-) The service was great: friendly, attentive & on point. The food was amazing: we both ordered the "Brunch Club Benedicts" with salmon. The eggs were poached to perfection. The hollandaise sauce was perfect too; great taste but not over-powering. They were so good, we ordered it again to share (yes, THAT good). They also have healthy cold-pressed juices, and a wide menu of coffee, tea and cocktails. A charming place for a great brunch in Madrid.

I visited on a rainy Thursday night so there wasn't a large crowd and I grabbed an open seat at the end of the bar. A friendly gentleman gave me a menu and asked what I was interested in. When I mentioned the Old Fashioned, he advised that it was an Amaro-based version without the usual bourbon/whiskey spirit. I noticed a Brooklyn and commented that I sometimes made those at home. Very politely he noted that if I was making them in the US, it wasn't with Amer Picon, which isn't available in the US. He's right. So an actual, real Brooklyn it would be! I thoroughly enjoyed the Brooklyn. I also enjoyed some brief conversation with the bartender who was very good. The kind who uses the spoon or straw to taste each drink to ensure it was made properly. As I was paying my bill and mentioning to the gentleman who initially greeted me that I wanted to bring my business partners here later in the week, he wrote his phone number on a business card and told me to call him in advance as the bar got very busy when it wasn't raining. Turns out, this friendly man is Alberto the owner! Guess I didn't do quite as much research as I could have! I regret we weren't able to make a second visit to 1862 Dry Bar on this particular trip, but it is going to be my first stop next time I'm back in Madrid. Great vibe, excellent staff and a classy and friendly owner.

Certainly, with a place like this, all of the specific *drinks* may well have changed, being that they were all so technical, with so many house or freshly made moving parts, i.e. my favorite kind of nerdy cocktail bar. But presumably they're still making drinks as cool as the were a few months ago. They don't take reservations, so we just got there right when they opened, which is the way to do it. There were only a couple other people there right at 4 that day, but within half an hour, it was completely full. (Also yeah, Yelp says they open at 5 PM, but they... definitely open at 4.) Despite being *very* busy, we never had any difficult ordering drinks, nor getting them back quickly, and I ordered a... bunch of drinks (well, with my wife, who despite not normally being a cocktail person, was definitely drinking her share of all of them.) I absolutely loved the detailed descriptions of exactly how each cocktail is made (I learned a new word, enfleurage! In this case, of cardamom through peanut butter), the amount of effort that clearly went *into* all of them (house-made hop distillate, falernum, gin they re-distilled with pickle brine, the enfleurage, to quote, a "labor-intensive perfume extraction process"...), but more importantly, I can't stress enough, all of their cocktails were absolutely *wonderfully* delicious. All quite unique enough to scratch the itch for weird cocktail nerds like me, who don't want to drink classics, but unique concepts no other bar has done - but also all perfectly balanced and quite complex, both the spirit-forward ones (a Vieux Carre with mango chutney and hop extract instead of Benedictine and bitters! A Negroni that's been aged in ex-sherry barrels in a solera system like a sherry!), and the wacky sweet-savory ones (pisco milk punch and fish sauce! Mezcal and ponzu sauce, clarified through Greek yogurt! Citrus, balsamic, fancy honey and pickle gin!) All their drinks absolutely lived up to the hype. I don't know if any of those drinks are still available, but if not, I'm sure equally inventive ones took their place, so either way, I'd definitely make sure to come back if I happened to back in the area instead of halfway across the planet. We didn't get food here, just drinks - but we absolutely took *full* advantage of the complimentary chips being offered. When we discovered how wonderful their (made in-house) chips were, we kept asking for more. We went through a *bunch* of little plates of chips. Especially as they went *particularly* well with all of the cocktails, again, both spirit-forward and interestingly sweet-savory-funky cocktails, paired really well with craft chips. The drinks already made this place a 5/5, but with the free all-you-want craft chips? That's like a 6 out of 5.

Everyone must have been hung over from the night before. Or still sleeping. The die hard NYE revelers stay out until about 7 AM in this country. Not me. I can't hang. Overall, the cocktail menu has about 20 of the usual suspects: martini, strawberry daiquiri, mai tai, manhattan, sidecar, etc. No prices in the menu but expect to pay about 7,25 each. In other words, about half the price you'd pay at a cocktail bar in New York, so a major bargain for me. The sidecar was delicious, as was the whiskey sour. While not explicitly clear in the menu, this place will either create cocktails for you or let you create your own. Just ask. Desperately wanting paella across the street at La Barraca, the unoccupied waiter took the time to run across the street to check on availability, then again to make a reservation. Excellent customer service, though he was taken aback at my gesture of a small tip for his efforts, which he reluctantly accepted. Bottom line is there really aren't that many bars in Madrid dedicated specifically to cocktails, despite the size of the city. Consider this place a rarity. Other: Very classy decor. Cool music. Chill vibes. Free wifi zone. No food.
