This is a great mountain that mother nature has gifted some of the best snow in Idaho. Yet they squander this gift. They have made unremarkable incremental improvements to the mountain while making unbelievable increases to the daily pass cost and the annual pass cost. The snow here is awesome notwithstanding the way the mountain manages it. They seem clueless in how to manage good groomed runs and good mogul runs. So you have a lot of ungroomed choppy snow. As I write this review they have a Discover Brundage Pass "first timer season pass" for $319 and then an adult return customer season pass for $629...WTF? As a loyal return customer they want to charge me nearly twice as much as a first time customer? That is some lousy, lousy, lousy customer loyalty. And as you can tell I have no loyalty to Brundage. Go to Tamarack or wait ten years to get the first timer pass again...trust me the mountain will be the same.

A wonderfully positive experience overall, as this family-owned resort just north of McCall in the Payette National Forest met all expectations after being billed as having the Best Snow In Idaho. They offer skiing, snow shoeing, and snowmobile trails. I elected to ski, and whether you're a black diamond person, a blue square, a green circle, or a beginner, this place rocks. Lots of on-site parking in two locations, such easy access. Didn't have any gear with me, but they have half-day and full day rental rates. Trevor helped me a bunch in the rental shop, fit me perfectly, and was superbly interactive and well-versed. Good rental pricing, quality equipment. The powder was outstanding! Loved the guys manning the chair lifts, fun and encouraging. The ski patrol was interactive at the right times, controlled the environment, zero issues with boarders and skiers. I wiped out a few times and they were really helpful and attentive. Runs are well-marked, groomed, lot of fun. In addition to good skiing conditions, Brundage has an efficient and plus lodge, offering food and libations. Enjoyed Smoky's Grill! Clean, friendly, and there's a 21+ area also. But I stayed mostly outside to enjoy the place! Fair pricing throughout, a very good skiing experience.

Nice ski resort, their reduced price tickets start at 12:30pm but the resort closes at 4pm which seemed a bit early. Not too much parking. Masks were enforced in lifts. One does not get a discount using Bogus pass. Everything seemed groomed.

This is for summer time visits. Sitting in the fresh mountain air and soaking up the sun is the best! Used a GroupOn deal to get a lift ride for two and $10 off of lunch. Service - I think they were a bit short handed, even though we were in well after lunch. The waitress biffed it on a couple of small things, but she was running inside and outside trying to keep up. Food - A buddy had the sliders and said they were tasty, but just a bit dry. The fries (with fry sauce) were cooked just right and tasted great. The bacon burger was awesome. In fact, wouldn't split and share with buddy having sliders :) Food we didn't have - the nachos. Saw an order go by that was so big, it would take four Mtn Men to get to the bottom of that plate. Price - a bit high... but you are a captive audience at Brundage. Its 20 minutes to the closest alternative.

So..... our first attempt was horrible. It was 9 degrees that day and we rented 3 snowmobiles for a family of 5. My oldest is 20 so he had his own and we were about 45 min into our day when the machine started sending alarms and overheating. We tried packing it w ice and letting rest and tried to head back which ended taking about two plus hours . After 40 min and going only 1/4 mile we decided I would head back and get help . By now the snowmobile was smoking . I head in and they told me that there are no extra machine and started to walk away . There is no cell service at all on the whole route and even at the lot you start at . I'm like hey !' It's 9 degrees and they are stuck what are you going to do ?! I wanted to leave the machine and have 3 people on one machine and slowly head back but my husband was worried that they charge us for it . One of the two guys said he was heading out with a group and would stop for a minute and see if it's a quick fix or coolant. I asked if he could give me the coolant and he said there was only one . He had group of 3 people and they were newbies. Did I tell you one of my 14 yr old twins refused to wear his long johns even though we told him it was essential for 9 degrees. We starts heading out and his machine started smoking. He couldn't go any further. So I found rest of my family and they had to ditch the machine by the payette park sign . Once we were warm and in town I called . They were aware of situation and gave us all our money back no argument, they just apologized that made me respect them . It took us hours to get back . We started at 9 and it was noon before the family was back together at the lot. I was surprised when my family asked if we could try again so i called back and they hooked us up and gave a small discount and they also spoke to Burgdorf and got our money back and was able to reschedule our hot springs even though there were no appointments available. Yes I recommend this company because we had amazing time the second time and when things went bad they stepped up and did the right thing .

I did most of the coordinating through email, which was easy and hassle free. Upon arriving at the rental shop, we got some gear, if needed, and signed waivers. The gals working the shop were friendly, mellow, and had plenty of jokes! We drove ourselves to the trailhead (Francis Wallace parking lot). The parking area was a bit slushy, but we managed with two minivans - and some knowhow. Upon arriving at the lot, a tech went through a brief orientation on how to operate the sleds. You are able to sled right out of the parking lot and onto the trails. The trails go on what would be forest roads in the summer season. There are some stops to make along the way with great views and a snowed-in restaurant worth a quick drink. After a few hours on the trails, we returned to the lot where the techs collected the sleds. Afterwards, you do have to drive the helmets and gear back to the rental shop in town, but easy enough. I highly recommend CMBR for the courteous, laid-back service!

I filled it out honestly and then a couple months later, they reached out saying we won the survey! We won 2 free nights in a super nice suite and $400 in credit. After getting this news, we scheduled our free weekend for our wedding since we were getting married in McCall. We stayed at Tamarack for the night of the rehearsal dinner and for the wedding night. Then the next morning, we went and got free full body massages with our credit. What a wonderful time it was and we are so thankful for the time! We will be back, Tamarack!

The highlight of the trip was the golf course and their excellent guest service, along with Patrick at the outside golf course bar. We arrived and learned we didn't get the correct room with any kind of view, and the ski lift is broken. I bought the trip insurance but I don't think it covers disappointment. The whole place is CASHLESS. Trying to buy a hot dog on the golf course was annoying as her internet wasn't working, but thankfully she let us play through and pay for it on our way back by on the 13th hole. The only place for dinner Wednesday was Seven Devils. You have to have a credit card to buy a beer and you have to pour it yourself, and pay for the warm foam. It's a ripoff. There was a kid sitting at the actual bar. We each had the chicken gyro that had overcooked, dry, stringy chicken thighs. Our server said she loved them but usually got steak. That option wasn't on the menu and no offer to fix it when we said the chicken was bad. Our beer was supposed to be charged to our gift card, but they charged it to our credit card. Rendezvous was supposedly open Thursday but we were told we probably wouldn't get reservations and we went into Donnelly to eat instead. At the "resort", the pizza place, the diner, and midway restaurant all closed. Didn't check the creamery. Most of the shops seemed closed. They advertise it as a resort with dining and shopping but that isn't the reality. There is no where for a sit-down breakfast. The coffee shop has breakfast sandwiches that are served on a soggy English muffin or plain bagel with no bagel upgrade option as they come premade and are reheated in a toaster over. Since our room water is brown, I wanted a coffee hopefully made with better water and real cream. The website says it's 99 cents for drip but when you get there it is $2.99 for drip. Our floor is sticky and dirty, which is especially frustrating since we pay so much for cleaning. I can't walk barefoot. The clock on the oven started flashing in the middle of the night, after I thought I had set it, and nothing seems to work to set it correctly. I had to cover it with a towel. We set our thermostat to 68 before we left for golfing and dinner, and our room was 74 when we got back and it has a funny smell, like flooring chemicals or something. Tried to turn it down our first night in the middle of the night and couldn't get it to work right then either. It seems very finicky. Our toilet runs constantly but doesn't make noise, just wastes tens of gallons of water a day. There is a dog that barks every time we come and go, but thankfully it is quiet at night. I have emailed the check-in office about all of it and have not heard back. I tried to call and there was no answer. I requested a partial refund and have not heard back either. For two nights our room (studio, not a suite), with no view, brown water, and a funny smell with a toilet that runs all the time was about $650 with fees. Our golfing with club rental was about $460. We spent a lot of money here and expected a whole lot more than what we got for over one thousand dollars in costs. Also, there is no where to buy bottled water after 7 pm. Sevin Devils gave me some in to go cups from the soda gun, but it had the same tint as our room water. I did find a water bottle filler that had a filter and the water looks clearer.
