The staff here are excellent. We were visiting the area and called to get information about off road trails for our UTV's and the young lady at the main rental desk was extremely helpful and friendly. We were staying local for the long weekend and wanted to take our young grandson on a ride in the hills. She gave great information and allowed us to look at their map of the area their customers use for their rides. Again, we had our own UTV's, but she still was willing to help us out to have a great day. I will spread their great customer service and next time I'm in the area, I'll make sure I can give them some business. Maybe a snowmobile trip next January. They are just the type of company I want to support. I highly recommend doing business with them. I should also add that their equipment looked new and well maintained and trail ready. Mountain Meadow Adventure Rentals is a nightmare to deal with. We rented 4 ATV's from them and 2 of them broke down on the trail. The owner demanded we hire a helicopter to recover them at our cost. We refused and repaired them ourselves. The owner then charged our credit card over $5k without our permission and threatened to sue us if we didn't pay. We are now in the process of taking legal action against this company. read more

Wow! This was my first time with a real snowmobile ride and tour. There were 3 of us, my wife and 11yr son. We rented 2 skis, one 1 seater and one 2 seater. We opted for the level 1 (beginner) half day (4hr) tour at their McCall location. We couldn't have picked a better day with just above freezing temps and full sun! It was THE BEST time we've had in years and probably one of my most fun memories as far as outdoor sports go. I was just amazing! We arrived a few mins early to suite up with the gear that's provided with that package which means you show up with street cloths and they provide the rest. Next we headed out to the location where the tour started (about 10min drive) and they gave us a quick tour of the snowmobiles, how to operate, what to expect, and hand signals (since you can't hear while driving). Then we just headed right out onto the absolutely beautiful trails winding up the mountain side. We stopped often for our guide to check in on us and to take in the views. It was almost like being in a dream it was such a perfect view and experience. The equipment looked brand new and ran well. Our guide, Kai, was about the best guide one could expect. He was patient, knowledgably, and very fun. We felt very safe with him. Kai also showed us some fun tricks and even gave my son a "powder ride" (name???). 3/4 of the way through he stopped us at a cabin (which is really just a large shed) for some hot chili and hot chocolate which was just perfect for that moment to fill the belly and take a short break. Then we headed back. It's not cheap but based on my research, Mountain Meadows Adventure Rentals was very reasonable and with the experience we had, well worth it! This place is top-notch all-around. We went for the natural rugged sport & beauty of the great outdoors of Idaho in snowy December, while bracing for freezing cold. Words fail to express how majestic the area itself is...completely amazing. And the equipment was couldn't have been better. My toes and fingers are always frigid, but the included outerwear (gear) was completely worth every penny. It kept us warm, allowing us to enjoy every minute of the trip. And the hand warmers on the handlebars picked up slack the gloves couldn't conquer. It's hard to enjoy anything when you're freezing, so this meant a lot. New sleds, specifically the Polaris Matryx 650 VR1 was one of the main reasons I rented from Mt Meadow Adventure. The sleds were nothing short of amazing!! The gear (all outwear) provided was clean and more functional (kept me warm) than even expected. The goggles were NOT scratched and the helmet DID NOT stink. My family and I spent an extended weekend at Tamarack for the 4th of July weekend 2020. There were five of us and we couldn't all fit in our ATV, so we rented a second (much better!) ATV from Ben and Rachel, owners of Mountain Meadow Adventure Rentals. We rented the four seater Polaris RZR XP 1000. Our rented ATV was in excellent condition, roomy enough for my big frame, and a smooth, comfortable ride. My family much preferred the rented ATV over our older ATV. Over this busy 4th of July weekend, I called the office many times with different questions and concerns about locations to visit, trails to get to those locations, and some mechanical questions. Rachel was always very polite, very patient, and incredibly helpful. During one of our adventures, we had some mechanical issues with our personal ATV. Both Ben and Rachel went above and beyond to help us figure out solutions and to get the repairs we needed. During the weekend, it was obvious that many took advantage of the great rental location at Tamarack to rent boats, wave runners, ATVs, and dirt bikes. The office seemed to stay busy all weekend with happy customers. Yet, Ben and Rachel continued to offer excellent customer service during all hours of the day. I appreciate the customer service, the location, and the excellent equipment offered during my visit. Our family rented a pontoon boat. No instruction whatsoever was given by the company on how to operate the slide. When we got the boat on the lake the battery died. The company sent a guy out to fix it and told us we should have known not to run the slide without turning on the boat. We asked how were we suppose to know that and he said "most people can figure it out". We called the company while on the water and a nice employee said they would work with us on the gas. When we went to square up on the gas a larger employee told us that it was user error and that it was our fault. We asked him "How were we supposed to know that running the slide while the boat isn't on runs down the battery." He said it is just assumed operators know this. Taking off $10 from our gas bill would have been great because it would have been some acknowledgement that the company did something wrong (ie told us nothing about the slide and it running down the battery). Instead they took no responsibility and blamed us (the customer). To add insult to injury the company said it could have charged us for the tech to come out on the water and fix the problem (which they created by not properly instructing us on how to use the boat). We will never rent from this company again. read more

None of us in the group had down it before but it was such a blast! We rented a total of 5 machines. The staff was friendly and more than willing to answer any questions we had. The gear that was provided was clean and comfortable and most importantly it kept us warm since it was in the teens when we went out. The machines looked brand new and functioned perfectly. We were up in the Cascade Lake area for a few days with family and wanted to explore the lake a bit. This rental company was absolutely on the mark. It was easy to book, they dock out of Poison Creek campground with lots of parking and were very helpful explaining the boat and even fishing holes to go find. The boat was clean, well maintained and so much fun, especially with the included tube! Punctual, friendly and great location and the prices were the best we found too! We spent 2 days in McCall and booked a guided snowmobiles tour.. Wow! This was a blast! The whole experience was 5-star from the moment we checked in, signed waivers, watched a safety video & got fitted for our gear. (the Gear was new, clean, top-notch!) Once we arrived at the trailhead- We had TWO trail guides, Tom & Cole - All-stars BTW!! Certified ski-patrol, knowledgeable, friendly, fun & always aware of his responsibilities to our tour... just the right amount of fun & safety.. stopping periodically to be sure all participants were doing OK... *I was cold, so they loaned me a neck-gaiter from their first-aid backpack & incidentals. Before we rode; They explained everything we needed to know about our sleds, trails, safe handling and where we were going to be riding for the day. We stopped half way on the tour at the top of the ridge Warming Hut- Where THEY quickly made us Hot Cocoa & Chili and we enjoyed relaxing for 30 minutes or so before moving on... Beautiful Day on the mountains, and so relaxing and fun knowing we were being guided by Pros! Worth the ticket price! Great Value, Great Fun, Great memories! THANKS Guys! Worst rentals & company ever - DO NOT rent from this place! We rented a boat for my birthday & upon arrival they asked if we could switch boats with another family since their boat's door was broken & they had a toddler; we said sure just to be nice & boy what a bit mistake that was! Literally nothing worked on this boat: all the doors were either broke or missing, the speakers didn't work, the speedometer didn't work & the gas gage also didn't work, so we had no way of knowing if we were starting with a full tank or correctly charged to fill it up afterwards. When I went in to complain to the owner two days later to see if we could get some sort of credit back this was his response: "If you wanted a nicer boat that worked you should've paid more." I'll spare you the rest, but had we known for $600 that we'd have the biggest piece of $hit pontoon boat ever, we wouldn't have booked one in the first place. Also, there isn't an option for a "nicer, working boat" on their website since they don't want you to know they're all over 5 years old, plus the owner is too cheap to even maintain the boats, let alone purchase newer ones. If this is how they treats locals, how will they treat you?!? read more

Mountain Meadow is a poorly run outfit with absentee owners who take advantage of out of town guests. Their staff provided very basic instruction including advising our group to follow the trails in their built-in GPS. When two of their units broke down on the trail (from their GPS) MM refused to retrieve them and told us it was our responsibility to have them air lifted off the trail. Additionally they threatened to keep the rental contract open until we got the units back to them. We ultimately had to repair and retrieve them on our own to avoid exhorbitant charges from their friend friend the airlift company. After all the units were returned they charged our credit card with unsubstantiated amounts and threatened to sue us if we disputed them. I would caution anyone from renting from this dis-organization. read more

After a few days of skiing we went and rented snowmobiles for a half day. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Equipment was brand new and top notch. Had an absolute blast and would do it again in a heartbeat. One member of our group hit a tree and damaged the machine a little so they charged him accordingly but they weren't mad at all. These guys are awesome! When we were left stranded in the mountains with our tracked RZR, Ben and Mountain Meadows were the only ones who offered to help. It's was a long and frustrating process but Ben handled it with the upmost professionalism and courtesy. It took two separate attempts based on the severe damage of the RZR, but the Mountain Meadows team were able to come up with plan and rescue our rig. There is no question that we couldn't have done it without them. We will definitely be renting from them in the future! read more

This company is absolutely amazing!! We booked a private snowmobiling tour for 6 at the end of January and we had the best time! The mountain they took us was completely private. We rode 30 miles up to a little warming hit with a fire, chili and hot cocoa with an absolutely beautiful view. Then rode 30 miles back, it was one of the best adventures I've ever had and the staff was so accommodating, knowledgeable and nice they equipped us with all the perfect gear so we were warm and comfortable, the snowmobiles were top-of-the-line brand new, I highly recommend this company for an adventure you want to go on! read more

Awesome customer service! We rented 3 jet skis last minute after a rental service in McCall failed to follow through on a reservation. Basically Mountain Meadow saved our vacation, as my family had traveled to McCall for the express purpose of jet skiing. Their employees were all a pleasure to work with, and the machines were in great shape. Cascade lake is huge, with a lot of sandy shoreline to beach the jet skis. I would give Mountain Meadow more than 5 stars if possible! read more

Worst experience ever. The customer service is horrible. Be aware - one of our sleds blew a belt inside the engine 30 minutes into our 4 our rental. we had to put three people on each of the two remaining sleds and ride another half hour to Seasesh. Waited there while it took them almost 2 hours to get it repaired & brought to us. By that time, we had to return them to keep within our rental window. Asked for a partial refund and the owner said all engine parts and belts were somehow our responsibility and that he did us a favor by sending someone out to replace it. Complained that it "took a lot of manpower to do that & that we were lucky he didn't charge us". Offered basically no refund. Complete and total jerk read more

If we could give more than five stars we would!! Our family called last minute to go snowmobiling and Mountain Meadow Adventures happily got us five bikes! Their wife got us all set up with gear, their oldest daughter helped us get everything on and tucked in, and their husband gave us a quick lesson on how to properly use the bikes. We went up the side of the mountain with the most beautiful snowy views I have ever seen. Everything was truly breathtaking!!!! Our whole family had so so so much fun! Our family rented a4 seat UTV / Razor from Mountain Meadow Rentals in Donnelly, ID and it was a total blast! This is a family owned business and Ben, the owner, was incredibly helpful, flexible, friendly and terrific with our family; he is really a personable guy! The equipment we rented was in great condition. We had never done this before and felt very safe. We had such a good experience here that my daughter also ended up renting a paddleboard from them. BEn was incredibly helpful and even brought my daughters board down to the water and helped her get situated. I went to rent a snow mobile after one of my broke down. I rented a 850 SKS ($312.70) for my wife as we were going to ride off I could not get my ski restarted and ended up switching out to a a trail ski ($228.40) a difference of $74.50. They told my wife that if the second charge showed up that they would credit me. Mind you we never left their parking lot. I called the owner (Rachel) who now tells me that there is no refund because we booked the ski and no one else could for that time frame. What a bunch of CROOKS there was no one there and easily rebooked the ski which they probably did. Also in the past we have been with large groups over the past two years who have rented 8-10 skis at a time. I will never rent from them again and make sure no one from our group rents from them again. The only reason I gave two stars is that they do have nice skis otherwise I would have given them a one star read more

Very bad experience with this company. Rented a tractor to do some landscaping. The owner did not offer insurance so we got replacement insurance from our insurance company in case something major happened. The owner did not do a pre-inspection. We are pretty sure that my husband hit a stake or rocks which put a small bump in the bucket. The owner asked that we pay for a new bucket which was $879. We did pay even though the bucket is still very usable. My advice is do not rent from this company unless you can get insurance from the owner for anything that may happen to the equipment. read more
