Loved the way they had this venue set up for covid restrictions. It worked well. Thanks for the show!

One Eleven East - Grooms room

Super cute venue. My sister just had her wedding reception there. I really enjoyed having the…read moredifferent rooms to split up the activities (dinner, music, drinks, etc). Very spacious and dog friendly (huge plus for my family). The back patio has plenty of seating and a great place to get fresh air. The A/C seemed like it worked the best in the middle room where the musicians were.

I had the opportunity to attend a wedding at One Eleven East recently and was blown away by this venue. It lent itself beautifully to a 2020 wedding- with such an open, airy aesthetic that you feel compelled to throw up a pic on your IG because you're suddenly at 'influencer-level gorgeous' standing against these white bricks with that fabulous golden-hour lighting. Let's talk about logistics. As a guest, Hutto is definitely not right near Austin, but the Lyft ride wasn't bad at all and the wedding had set up a shuttle bus to get folks to the Austin hotel after the wedding. I'm not sure how many Lyfts or Ubers you'd find if you went searching at 11pm, so the shuttle back was a big plus. The venue itself had two large spaces (one presumably for the ceremony and the other for dinner), with a bar space and an outdoor area (cocktail hour vibes). I didn't see a kitchen, but this wedding had dinner set up as a buffet in the now-empty ceremony room, catered by a BBQ food truck out back. There's an upstairs area for the bridal party to get ready, which presumably has a bathroom (I didn't get up there. I was a +1). The bathroom sitch for guests included a women's room with a couple of stalls and shared sink/mirror space and one single men's room (which caused a bit of a line, but not terrible). Overall, if I was an Auton...ite? Austonian? Anyway, if I lived in Austin, I would absolutely consider this venue. It's minimalist, historic vibe allows you to forgo the unpleasant hotel ballroom pipe-and-drape decor, and you can add a few bits of greenery and call it a day with decor. FABULOUS!

The animals are so well taken care of and loved. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience, and we are so glad to have stayed there. Special shout out to Allen the Chef who made some of the most delicious meals I have had and Anne and Jackie who were so knowledgeable about otters and kangaroos. We also loved Dundee (their baby kangaroo.)

The place was clean and just the right size for my wife and I. Being city folks you forget how dark it is out in the country at nights. It was nice. We signed up for these adventures to make the weekend even more fun: 1. Feed baby kangaroo(Bodhi). This was about a 30 minute session where we got to feed him a bottle and kibble. It really was an amazing experience. 2. Bucket of food and self guided feeding of animals. We walked the property and hid to feed so many animals. All of the animals were friendly toward people. They were all very good motivated. We encountered a giraffe, donkeys, zebras, horses, cows, pigs, dwarf steers, camels, emu, deer, buffalo and more. The animals were often trying to bully their way to the front of the line. The cow Oreo who has not skipped a meal was always front of the line. 3. Afternoon safari ride in ATV. This was a fun ride around the property. Did not see any new animals but had a great time. The cows out at pasture were thrilled to be fed. 4. Giraffe encounter and meal. This was a little expensive but I would spend it again. The giraffes were super friendly and personable. We wanted to take them home because they were so much fun. The guide, experience and never felt rushed made this worth it. Our guide was top notch. I think her name was Jackie but could be wrong.

We got upstairs and I could hear a baby crying and conversations in the hallway so once again, I was nervous. However once we got into the room, my worries declined. The room was large and clean, there was a microwave and a refrigerator in the room. I know this is gonna sound odd but the one thing that unappreciated about the room was the hand soap and wasn't the usual bar soap that most hotels provide with the small bottle of lotion, conditioner and shampoo. The bed was comfortable and I didn't hear anything once my head hit the pillow so I sleep well. I will say that the water got hot but the water pressure could use some adjusting. We didn't make it down for breakfast however they do provide one. There is a coffee maker in the room but they also have coffee service in the lobby. The hotel is located near spots to eat, some that you can even walk to if you wanted to. We also came in after hours so the doors lock and you have to use your key card to unlock it, so a little more added security. Over a good stay and if I was in the area I'd stay again.

Cinnamon rolls were great one morning and hard and dry the next morning. The first room my husband and I checked into was not ok, the shower head was gross, stain on the sheet, and top off with a roach crawling on the bathroom wall. We were relocated to a room in slightly better shape. I wished my husband booked us at the Hampton Inn adjacent to Holiday Inn property. The property was supposed to change the stay to my IHG reward account instead of my husband's since my card was getting charged. Promised by the front desk agent that said he'd get the manager to change everything. It's January and things still hadn't changed.
