I am an ice cream connoisseur. I would eat it every day if it didn't have so many calories and causes weight gain. On more than one occasion I've tried different flavors of Bruster's ice cream. Sadly, none of them have much flavor. I really tried to like them because it's more naturally made. A big PLUS as I only consume for more homemade type ice creams. I ordered a birthday cake for my Mother in laws birthday. I ordered online in the area where they ask what you want written on the cake I put "Happy Birthday" when I got the cake it terrible writing was " happ B-Day" no I did not mistype they literally forgot the "Y" in happy .I ordered blue berry muffin/strudel? flavored ice cream layer with yellow cake and a caramel middle layer they completely forgot to put the caramel on instead they smeared the top with what I assume is blueberry compote the icing decorations were not even they were all different shapes and sizes make the cake look terrible. When I called the store to ask for a refund they told me no that that is just how the person writes and everyone writes differently. I called corporate customer service several times and for an entire month I got no reply. Finally a guy called me two days ago and said he will see about getting me my money back but he isn't sure because it has been over a month..... (WTH how is that my fault I have been calling) I told him if he wants to keep me as a customer not only do I want a refund I want some kind of compensation for them ruining my mother in laws birthday and making me wait a month to get my money back and he said he doesn't think he will be able to do that..... If you are going in for an ice cream maybe you will be fine but do not order a cake from this store if anything goes wrong ( which it probably will) you won't be getting your money back. read more

Everything needs to improve at this location was visiting, and my daughter told me multiple times how nasty the workers are! They need to hire young workers that care about their job and have adult supervision. They are rude and unmotivated people that work there. It's disappointing that you try to get an ice cream and have to adore the abuse and filth of the outdoor area. There's ants all over the trash cans and ice cream ridden areas of the benches. Well, my overall experience was a good one from start to finish. Yes there was a long line in the drive thru but it moved and I was able to order, pay and leave within 10-12 minutes I'd say. There was a small crowd of people ordering at the window but no issues going on there or so it seemed. This was all on a Friday night two hours before closing. My hot fudge brownie sundae was pretty tasty. My hot fudge was even hot, I'm not sure why this location scores so low. Even the employees working were professional and did a overall great job with their customer service I'd say. Give them a try don't go off the ratings, it'll be worth it I promise! We got to the drive-thru at 9:35pm and waited 25 mins to finally get to the order kiosk. It was one minute after 10pm when they close and they refused to take our order. Only two people were working and it was a complete waste. They took so long to do anything and it prevented us from ordering, even with a fairly short line. Do not try to go here even an hour before closing. And to the management - maybe try not having two teenagers close that take ten minutes to do one order and make excuses to refuse service to customers that got in line well before closing. read more

I asked for a New York cheese cake and got a vanilla ice cream. No they did not mess up but it came with no crust which is the reason why I order it. When I spoke to the lady about it she got rude and looked at me like I was the crazy one vs just fixing the problem. I loved this place before it was purchased by a new owner. I live right down the street so we would walk there at least 2x week in the summer. I use the cards to get the punches since I purchase so much. when I forget my card I just ask for another card and get it punched. I never had an issue giving them more than one card as long as I had 9 punches on the cards in total. But when the new owner took over he stated he was not the owner and he was the manager. He was very rude and condescending. he told me he was not going to take several cards, very argumentative. Then threw the cards at me and told me to leave and take the ice cream. He was speaking to a woman in another language talking about me in some way. I contacted corporate to make a complaint and found out that he was actually the owner and not the manager. We normally love going to Brusters. Our kids always ask to go. Today, October 12th 2015, we saved room after going to Truetts and jetted over to Brusters at 10 till 9. We sat in the drivethru for a few minutes without anyone greeting us. So I drove around again. Another car pulled in front, ordered and pulled forward. We sat in drivethru still. No greeting but I figured they were just busy. A car pulled behind us, waited then pulled to the side and walked up. We sat there still. I called out to the box several times. No answer. Nothing. The car in front of us rolled away. The people who walked up walked to their cars with ice cream. Then they turned off the lights. No one at the window. No, I'm sorries. Nothing. Darkness. My two kids and I couldn't believe it. I worked drive thrus as a teen too, so I know they knew we were there.
