HIDDEN GEM I spotted this place out while I was in the area and decided to try it out. I'm sooo glad I did because they have other pastries and breakfast food, not just donuts and the coffee was amazing. Most importantly they have Kolache and I've been looking for a Cambodian bakery that sold them! The owner is Cambodian and super sweet, she gave me suggestions on what to order which was really helpful.The place is very clean, their food is fresh and has that home made feel! Why didn't anyone tell me about this place!!!??? Sure it's not Krispy Kreme, but as a small local business, I was impressed. Searching online at a donut shop my daughter sent me in Buckhead to check out made me hungry, so I put in a search for something local. Yes I love Krispy Kreme but wanted something different and wanted to support local small business. Less than 2 miles from my home. Walked in and was in heaven. They open at 6, I got there at 8 and they had a good variety. I also ordered a bacon egg and cheese croissant. Everything was delicious or so I was told lol. I had the croissant and the maple bacon. Went back for my blueberry and the box was empty. Thanks to my adult children and grands...The donuts were fresh, soft, moist and yummy (my grandson). While with my grandson waiting for him to speak with a USA service recruiter, I needed to "kill" some time, stopped over at a small non franchise owned donut shop and WOW, what a treat, good coffee (can't say great) I know my coffee, but good. Now, for what they are know for FANTASTIC DONUTS, yes FRESH, sweet, savory, delicious, pastry.!! So darn good I purchased a second one! If they are doing these on the premises they can give Dunkin and Krispy and run for the money! The owner and staff kind, and knowledgeable! I found this shop one day when I was in the mood for doughnuts from a local shop (love Dunkin' but their doughnuts are average). I'd never heard of it but I loved the name. My friend and I went for the first time but I felt so bad because it was ten minutes before closing. The lady was so nice nonetheless and even gave us a few free items to try out. When you order a box of doughnuts, they fill each crevice with doughnut holes so you're really getting a full load for your buck. Their doughnuts are SO soft. I haven't tried their sandwiches or drinks yet but their doughnuts are TO DIE FOR. I love the flavors--especially the cream cheese varieties--but this quaint little shop is no longer a little secret. More people are discovering this place so that means you HAVE to get there bright and early to get what you want. If you can get up early, I HIGHLY recommend you give this shop a visit. They have a nice selection of doughnuts including the standards, but also some fun ones. There was other food including sandwiches, but I didn't try those. Terrible service. Paid $7 for a "large" 16oz mango smoothie that I took one sip of, and it was God awful. After requesting if I could change the smoothie flavor, I was told that I could not and after requesting a refund for the seven dollar average size smoothie, they refused. I usually buy a dozen or more and they always throw in some free doughnut holes. I get the classic glazed, strawberries and cream and blueberries and cream doughnuts. I've tried the old fashioned and buttermilk doughnuts, both of which are really good as well. If you like cereal and bacon on your doughnuts, they have options for you. I've been here several times and I'm never disappointed. The doughnuts are fresh, yeasty, and so soft your fingers sink into them when you pick them up.
