Stopped by Bruster's to grab some ice cream for the kids and they absolutely loved it. We tried the cotton candy flavor, though my daughter insisted it didn't quite taste like cotton candy. What really stood out was the service -- the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. They noticed the ice cream was melting right away and kindly gave us extra cups for the cones, along with additional spoons and napkins. There are a few outdoor tables, and the breeze made it a really nice spot to sit and enjoy. Overall, great experience -- the kids were happy, and the service was exceptional. read more

Ash was the lovely young lady manning the truck while greeting people in line, taking orders and scooping ice cream..all at the same time! I was impressed with Ash's customer service, tenacity, and sharing her college journey and professional goals. I ordered the graham central station and the banana pudding ice creams. I love ice cream. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was hoping for a higher quality. Don't get me wrong, its decent ice cream, and you can get it in a drive through! But another ice cream place seems to have a higher level of ingredients. The staff was friendly, service was fast, and the price was decent. I had the vanilla cherry. It had marachino cherries, not normal cherries. Apparently I am a cherry snob. My hubby had the peach shake, which was good, but to thick to drink from the straw provided. And the shake went up into the dome lid, so he couldn't spoon it out without spilling ice cream. Im not gonna lie, there is a joy that comes from eating ice cream in the car. Especially on a hot day. I want to come back and try some of their other options to make sure I am being fair. Plus, who can say no to ice cream in a drive through? read more

It's a shame that you make really great ice cream. Went by tonight. Between a worker eating in the kitchen in plain sight, the amount being less in my order...by a lot, and that fantastic, awkward feeling of them asking if we want to leave a tip. What are we suppose to really say? People usually tip when it's great service. Not for taking an order And making a product. And it's bad form to ask what amount of tip to leave. It's not about the money. It's about the principal. Maybe pay them more? It was bad enough when they were presenting the keypad for the tip and it was bad enough when I found a hair in my order. Ran through the Bruster's drive through tonight to surprise my wife with a chocolate malt made with vanilla ice cream with extra malt. Got home and my wife let me know it was a vanilla milk shake. Despite the bad reviews I wanted ice cream last night and didn't feel like getting out of the car - so I gave this place a try. 3 scoops for $5.50 sounded great so I ordered a cup with butter pecan, cherry vanilla and triple chocolate oreo. I don't know if they gave me the wrong chocolate scoop - because there were no oreos in it, but all 3 scoops were delicious!!!! Lots of pecans in the butter pecan and whole cherries in the cherry vanilla. It's an extensive menu so I'll be going back to try more flavors when the ice cream craving hits! The only real negative was they automatically ask you for a tip when you pay with a card. 10, 15 or 20%...give me a break already! It's a drive through....I'm not tipping for someone to do their job and hand me an ice cream at the drive thru. I know most businesses have resorted to this tactic, but enough is enough. read more

I love Bruster's ice cream! Their butterscotch and hot fudge toppings are perfect, never too thick or too cold. Very consistent. My new favorite is Tin Lizzy. They have lots of creative combinations and you can sample several before you choose. Also, their rewards program is generous and we have earned several $5 off rewards. If by chance something isn't right, tell them. They are happy to fix a problem to make you happy. There was one time we had to do that and we were immediately taken care of without any problems. Ask if you don't know what is in a flavor so you know what to expect and have fun. It's a nice treat. read more

It's ice cream! Hard to dislike ice cream. I always order flavors with nuts and Bruster's doesn't disappoint with the amount of nuts they put in their ice cream. Only thing to make it better would be if they didn't use corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup. Employees have always been very friendly and helpful. Family favorite that we have known for years in the Pittsburgh area. Mom was beyond thrilled when she saw one was being built just down the street from her in Hendersonville! She is a regular now! I would want to like this place and I do but there's still room for improvement. For one thing the menu in the drive thru doesn't have a description of what the crazy flavors are like say...Jamaican me crazy, which has nuts, coconut and chocolate. They said the complete menu is on the website, but that's not the case though. Some flavors like Key Lime pie is available in store but is not on the website menu for hville. So you mean to say while in the drive thru I'd have to look up for description on what exactly is in monkey madness and tuxedo strawberry in my phone while 5 cars are behind me?? It will be helpful if they could pass a handout menu with what exactly are on certain flavors or have some description on the drive thru, which is how ordering is based, there's very limited seating outside and who wants to stay out in the cold during the winter to order an ice cream cone? I tried Jamaican me crazy thinking that it's a coconut cream based ice cream but it was too sweet and too nutty! If there was some kind of description saying it has almonds in it I wouldn't have ordered it. So please Bruster's do better and don't be cheap and lazy!
