The fresh mozzarella was fantastic with the tomato and acidic balsamic glaze flavor that works so well. Just a great light perfect start and so fresh. Next the Diavola Pizza (Pepperoni) Fresh Mozzarella & Pepperoni over the immaculate tomato sauce. The wood fire crust is so good and just a nice pepperoni pizza. Fantastic Flavor. The Margherita Pizza (Cheese & Basil) Magnificent Pizza Bread Fermented for no less than 24 hours topped with simple tomato sauce covered with Mozzarella and Basil. Ours was more like a cheese pizza as there was hardly any basil. I like a lot of basil like in Italy and being an Italian Pizza I was hoping it would be very similar to Italy. This was more a cheese pizza. The pizza with the wood fired crust was still really good and I would just request more basil if you like a lot like me. All four pasta dishes were excellent, each with its own unique flavor, and we thoroughly enjoyed every one of them. Our pizzas came out a little later, and by then we were already full from the pasta. We ended up taking them home, and they were still delicious even when we ate them later. The only downside to our visit was the temperature inside the restaurant. I'm not sure if the air conditioning wasn't working properly, but it was quite warm inside, and by the end of lunch we were sweating, which made the experience a little less comfortable. Overall, the food was excellent, especially the pasta, and we'd definitely come back to try more of the menu. Hopefully, the temperature issue was just a one-time occurrence.

There was so much rice paper & so little filling! The soup was not a favorite either as it was extremely sweet. Tom Kha can be sweet, but this was like sugary milk water. There were hardly any veggies in the tiny styrofoam cup as well. All in all, the best part of this experience was the lady who took my order. The food is incredible, and the cakes are worth the trip all by themselves. A few weeks ago, though, Chef's Market became so much more than a favorite restaurant. I got a call that my bonus mom had become very sick, and I rushed home to help care for my family. One day I stopped in to grab lunch and, of course, one of your amazing cakes to take back to the house. I was holding it together...until I wasn't. When the sweet lady behind the bakery counter asked which cake I wanted, all of the fear, exhaustion, uncertainty, and heartbreak I'd been carrying came pouring out. I couldn't stop crying. Without hesitation, she set the cake down, walked around the counter, and wrapped me in the biggest, most genuine hug. Not the kind of hug you give because you feel obligated--but the kind that says, "You're not alone." Then she prayed with me. A complete stranger saw my pain, held me tight, and promised she would continue praying for my family. As I sit in the hospital weeks later, I still think about that moment. I remember her kindness, her compassion, her gentle spirit, and the love she showed someone she had never met before. That hug meant more than she'll probably ever know. Chef's Market isn't just a restaurant with incredible food and the best cakes around. It's a place that feels like home. It's where my family has made years of memories, and now it's also the place where I was reminded that kindness still exists in this world. Thank you for feeding people in more ways than one.
