I…read moredidn't have many claims, but I did check in occasionally when I needed different coverage or had questions. What I've found is that good insurance service is very local. Even though you can get insurance coverage over the internet, you really need someone you can call or talk to who knows you at least a little. It makes all the difference when you need to make a claim or just need an understanding of something...and you don't have to re-answer questions over and over...you can just go right to getting advice or help....again because he knows you. Service is where they are excellent, and the getting to know you part is what Perry does. It's not like he is nosy, but I feel that he wants to get to know his customers and over time, it felt like I was giving a friend a call....like he was in my corner and ready to help me with whatever I needed. In dealing with other insurance companies I've had they have often dropped the ball and not come through for me. Perry has always done what he says he's going to do and he's never made a mistake that I can recall...and so he earned my trust quickly. I can't recommend Perry's agency enough and I would still be with him if I had not moved out of state. That's the only reason I changed carriers. I was "with" Marcy McAnally for about 7.5 years with a car and rental policy. I say "with" because…read morenever once in 7.5 years did I see her in the office, nor did she ever communicate directly with me. The office seems to have a lot of staff turnover, which probably tells you everything you need to know. My biggest complaint was how the quotes they gave were considerably less than the actual policies turned out to be. When I added an auto policy, the quote was pretty reasonable, but when they wrote the policy, it was about 7% higher than the quote I'd received a day earlier, and after I paid the first six months, they sent a follow-up asking for another $50+ because of adjustments. The final straw was when I tried to set up homeowners insurance. I was given a reasonable quote, but a day later when I went to purchase the policy, they informed me that there was a minor price increase. Turns out, it was an increase of 14%. Felt like a bait and switch. Having had enough, I cancelled my policies and found better deals elsewhere. I can't tell if it's State Farm thing, or something related to this office in particular, but I'm glad to be done with State Farm.
