Bryan is an incredible photographer and professional... to echo what another reviewer said below, he is worth every penny: - Bryan was a little out of our price range to begin with, but he worked with us to get the price within our means by eliminating a hired second photographer (we instead got someone who was still AWESOME but she was shadowing Bryan and thus we didn't pay for her). - In addition to being incredibly prompt and professional with communication, he also met with us on two separate occasions and drove with us all over North and Northwest Portland to view potential sites for our wedding photos. - He helped us in regards to planning the logistics of our day, making sure we had enough time for transportation and photos and that we kept on schedule. - He took beautiful shots during our candlelit ceremony (something that was a concern of mine) and captured the personality of my husband and I and our locations perfectly in every shot. - If all this wasn't enough, he took the time to edit every single one of our photos, displaying them on a site for everyone to view. He also provided a download link and DVD of all our images to us which has made accessing our photos a breeze. We can't stop looking at them, our guests can't stop gushing about them and Bryan Rupp can't receive enough stars for how awesome he is. I want to give Bryan a million star rating, but alas, this system only goes to 5. We were booking our wedding photographer and he was the first one we met with out of our long list to check out, and after meeting with Bryan we canceled all the others and booked with him right there. We loved the quality, aesthetic, and voice of his portfolio, and then when we met him in person he was so calm, easy to talk to, and super fun to be around. Our wedding was in September at the Leach Botanical Gardens, so we wanted a focus on the setting and environment, taking advantage of the natural light. We booked him and his assistant to shoot our ceremony and reception, and we also booked his photo booth service, Boothshakalaka, for the reception. The photo booth was a smash hit, and he provided us the online library of all the images 2 weeks after the wedding! Our experience with him was incredible, and we actually had a blast taking our wedding photos! The shots he set up were original, creative, and his use of the natural environment and lighting was just perfect. He really listened to what types of images we said we liked and didn't like, and he even brought along a fujifilm polaroid camera and got some awesome unique shots with it! The preview images he sent us were absolutely perfect, and we get to see the rest of the images the first week of December and I absolutely cannot wait. 10/10 would recommend, Bryan Rupp is a f*cking superstar!! read more

I do not have enough good things to say about Bryan Rupp! He is all of the classic things--friendly, professional, etc, but you can already see that from my 5/5 star rating. More importantly to me, Bryan was the first photographer to respond with the notion of "I am excited about your idea and would love to photograph it." Bryan encourages your ideas while having enough talent of his own that he makes just about anything beautiful. The day of the wedding he was like a friend. When I first saw his photos, they brought tears to my eyes. Now, nearly a year later, I couldn't continue to be more pleased with my choice and still love looking through all of my pictures!! I've already recommended him to my friends, but now the recommendation is public. Bryan as your photographer is the easy choice out of the gazillion things to do as a bride! You could not find a better photography team in the entire Portland area. Bryan and Leah are simply amazing. My husband and I met with them twice before the wedding and they were so laid back and easy to talk to. The one theme that came across was they wanted to do whatever we wanted them to do. Having two photographers was important to my husband and I did not see each other before the ceremony so Leah was with us girls and Bryan was with the guys and it worked perfectly! We ended up with 1500 pictures - each one gorgeous and unique. We have received so many compliments because we don't have many of the traditional "stand in a line and smile" shots because we wanted more candids and they did a great job of capturing so many moments of not only my husband and I but our guests as well. Not only was Bryan Rupp and his crew fun, warm, organized, punctual, personable and professional to work with, they had such a way with capturing the true essence of the day. The photos of our wedding are absolutely stunning! Every time I look at them I relive the whole day with a smile glued to my face. I can't even begin to say enough of how great Bryan and Leah are! Every wedding I've seen them shoot has captured the unique feel of that particular couple and ours was no different. They worked hard to find out exactly who we we are as a couple and express that in our pictures.
