We simply requested death certificates which she said she would get and her reply was "I don't know what you would need them for, but go to the town hall and you can get them there". We found the rest of this letter to be rather abrasive as well. Also, this lady looks very rough and poorly put together to deal with the public. So, between her lousy attitude and lousy looks not to mention her ability to be cordial to people who are mourning a loss, I ask you, don't use this Funeral home for any services. Go elsewhere and be appreciated for your business in the time of a loss.

Continually talking of herself and her woes during a time of unexpected sorry for our family and friends was just terrible, tacky and insensitive. It wasn't just one episode, it was repeatedly over the several days our family was mourning and trying to console friends and others during this unexpected tragedy.

The true act of kindness occurs when doing a service for someone without expectation of repayment…read more We suddenly found ourselves in Portland Maine this weekend, attending to the unexpected final illness and passing of our loved one. This is the second death our family has experienced in the last few months and costs are unfortunately, of great concern. We were looking for a simple cremation for our loved one and we met with BrIan Hahn at Jones, Rich and Barnes Funeral Home. We did not have an appointment and were only in town for a couple of days. Brian dropped everything to meet with us and although we were not able to use his company's services, he was generous, compassionate and thoughtful. He guided us to another service which was able to provide what we were looking for. We will always remember his kindness and generosity at this difficult time for our family.

We even had a last minute snafu regarding a party after the funeral at another location and they stepped in and helped us out with a room to conduct a small gathering of family and friends.
