Terrible business…read more They had my son's body because the New Hampshire coroner placed him there, after my son's unexpected death. We would have had Rickers cremate the body, but they were asking in excess of $3000 to take care of the body. They refused to compromise or talk with us. We tried to meet with the director and he blew us off. It felt insulting. My son's body sat in Rickers refrigerator until we arranged for a different funeral home to perform the cremation. The other funeral home charged a little over $1000. I have never gotten over this bad experience with Rickers. It breaks my heart to think of this.

We simply requested death certificates which she said she would get and her reply was "I don't know what you would need them for, but go to the town hall and you can get them there". We found the rest of this letter to be rather abrasive as well. Also, this lady looks very rough and poorly put together to deal with the public. So, between her lousy attitude and lousy looks not to mention her ability to be cordial to people who are mourning a loss, I ask you, don't use this Funeral home for any services. Go elsewhere and be appreciated for your business in the time of a loss.

Her sibling, who died just two years later, had been a long-term resident of a nursing home due to a stroke, so was indigent. He had a service at the home I did not feel good about but maybe this was the bottom-rung State version. He did not have funds to be buried. I had no idea it would be so brief, and it really felt timed. On the half hour, was rushed out a side door to my dismay. I remember something about snow being in the way, not sure their walkway or if from huge banks on the side street.

We were told by Mr Sayles Associate and i quote "ONCE YOU SET THE TIME YOU CAN"T CHANGE IT!" When the day arrived my family was all set go the cemetery to bury my father at the time we had set with Sayles. When we arrived Sayles was all set to bury my father, They said they tried to get a hold of us but about the time change That is not true as we never got a voice mail and none of my relatives where notified either. It seems that someone else "A friend of Sayles " family requested that they be buried at the same time as we had set with Sayles. So what happened to "ONCE YOU SET THE TIME YOU CAN"T CHANGE IT! Sayles should have honored the time my family had agreed with him on and told the other people that they would have to change it for another hour. I am sure the family would have agreed their burial could be postponed for a little bit. I do not recommend Sayles at all as they do not honor agreements and disrespect the families of the departed. You are best off going to Woodsville New Hampshire and have see if Rickers can help you . They seem like a class act :ONCE YOU SET THE TIME YOU CAN"T CHANGE IT!"
