We were called back by the paralegal (Paula?) who we put on speaker phone for the conversation. At some point during the communication, I expressed that I had thought the letter was supposed to have already been sent (it is a very time sensitive case) The only way I can best describe it is....The paralegal got her feelings hurt by me expressing displeasure on the timeline and lack of communication on their part. I am an educated woman whom is incredibly passionate about advocacy, not only for my little boy but for all those with special needs and disabilities. Within 5 minutes of said conversation, we were told that Paula has now accused me of bashing their lawfirm and Mr. Sullinger would no longer be taking our case. Well.... no, I was definitely not bashing your firm in any way. I was expressing my concern that what was promised wasn't being done in a timely manner and simply trying to gain a better understanding of what the last 3 weeks were spent doing. I was attempting to inquire the next steps in the process and make sure we were making thr right decision with the little to no information we received from them. When it comes to my children I have a voice, because they do not. I was begging for you to help my innocent child who has been done so terribly wrong. So in synopsis, they got paid $200 to do nothing. Except drop us as a case because Paula thought I was bashing their firm. SO here I am now sharing my experience, in hopes that you too won't be treated so poorly and unprofessionally. If you have the means to do so, I would look elsewhere for help as we were told multiple times that Mr.Sullinger was so swamped with work that he couldn't even return our calls for 2-3 weeks. YES. You read that correctly, A 5 minute phone call would take 2 to 3 weeks to receive. I engaged Chris to handle a second lawsuit related to the custody of my son. After a horrible experience with a different lawyer in 2017 in which I was only allowed to see my son 30% of the year and had to pay several hundred dollars in child support and other related expenses, Chris fought for me from April 2018 through the end of November 2018. Not only did he handle the legal technicalities of my case with professionalism and expertise, but he also managed my emotions and coached me on how to best to handle the emotionally-wrought experience of handling a stressful and emotionally-tasking experience with my son's mother. Not once did I feel I wasn't receiving a true hour's work or the full-value of his time. Chris also did a great job managing my expectations. Even when pressing him to provide me with probabilities of success, he refused to, instead, speaking in terms of contingencies and his past experiences. Throughout the process, I found myself emailing him many times, and he always answered my emails within a few days. Whenever I would request a meeting with him, he would find time that week to meet with me, even when it was unnecessary and motivated out of anxiety or stress. He managed my anxiety and worry as much as he did my case, and the stress-management was worth every penny as he coached me such that I did not make mistakes I otherwise would have when dealing with my son's mother. Chris won a 50-50 timeshare with my son. As the case proceeded, I found Chris to be such a valuable legal asset that I paid him additionally to consult me with the formation of my Limited Liability Corporation. Afterwards, I commissioned him to examine my legal record, and he successfully managed to have my entire criminal/driving record expunged for at least $200 less than what was quoted to me months earlier by a law firm.
