One locksmith was going to charge me almost double because they claimed that my car needed a chip in the key to make it work. Igor told me that this is not true, and no chip was needed. Doing a quick internet search it appeared that a spring had broken. I called several different repair services and was quoted $1200+ for the repair. I finally called CD Doors in Westerville and spoke to Chris. He asked that I text pictures of my door and the spring mechanism, made a quick diagnosis and quoted me a price 1/2 of what other repair services offered. Chris arrived first thing the next morning, thoroughly explained and showed me the problem and repair, then got to work. In less than an hour he replaced the faulty spring and lubed all of the hinges on the garage door, the spring mechanism and pulley track.

Met the service guy in front of my building with the car. He programmed and cut the key I bought online. It worked fine but when I used the original programmed key, the programming was erased.
