Under new management, look elsewhere. My mom was there in 2024 for 5 days, under previous management, they took great care of her and contacted me while I was out of town with daily updates and if they had questions and made me feel very comfortable that she was safe and cared for. I had to go into the hospital in the beginning of 2025 and she returned when they were under new management and I didn't get a single call while she was there. Only the ambulance company contacted me to confirm transportation. I sent her newly filled prescriptions with her and they threw them away, three 90 day scripts. My home health care provider went to bathe her and had to feed her and tell them she couldn't feed herself. Her discharge paperwork had 2 medical conditions that she never had, and they called me for the first time a over a week after she came home to ask if we had her mattress. She was transported there and back by an ambulance company. They were completely incompetent and I wouldn't trust them again. read more

The nurses and support staff were wonderful once we got to know one another. Our dad loved them. But the medical director was uncommunicative and difficult to reach. She redeemed herself the last two days our dad was alive but I can't help but wonder whether it was because she learned who we knew or wondered whether we would sue her. Ultimately, he was there from the end of January until the end of March. We did not receive a diagnosis until the day before our dad died. We had been asking for months. If you must place a parent in a long term care facility, make sure that you visit often. Even the best care team cannot replace family. read more

Only just a few months ago, we didn't know if our mom would still be with us. Last night she played a thirty minute recital on piano for the other guests and staff at her home. She's been practicing almost every day for months. People look a lot of places for inspiration, but sometimes it's those closest to you that provide the most. She can now walk in short distances, play the piano, hold her grandchildren, visit her home, and love us all the way she always has. We are all so proud of her and I will continue to appreciate every day we have with her in our lives. I hope she can inspire anyone, especially those living with Parkinson's Disease. A very big thank you to Bryn Mawr Terrace for believing her when other places wouldn't and having such a caring and supportive staff. Her next performance will be in May. read more

If I could give the place less than one star I would. We dropped my father off at 6:30 on a Monday night. We were instantly kicked out no instructions nobody told us about anything we can or cannot do. We were told to call some person name is Stephanie to make an appointment to come in and see my father. She never once returned a single phone call that my sisters and brother made to her. The Executive Director was not helpful at all. I reached out to see if we could have a conference call to discuss my fathers care and all the things that I've seen going on at the facility and he never returned my email. I got yelled at by the nursing supervisor her name was Noel for taking my father to the bathroom. The poor man couldn't walk and unfortunately had to use the toilet and nobody was around to help them get to the bathroom. So while it wasn't advised I literally ran him down the hallway in his wheelchair to get him to the toilet so that he would not have to suffer any sort of indignities. I then proceeded to get yelled at by Noel because of this. Telling me that I should've just left him there in his wheelchair until somebody to come and take him to the bathroom. Now mind you as I was running down the hallway with him people are waiving me on they were not stopping me they were not offering to help me they all just kept waving me down the hallway to his room. This woman just kept yelling at me about protocols but then couldn't answer me when I asked what should would have done if it was her father in that situation. We eventually learned that you could make a weeks worth of appointments in one day but only one per day. All info we could have used up front. I just pray that my dad gets better and didn't suffer any setbacks here. read more

This testimonial is long overdue. I am so thankful for the care that I received from the Staff at Bryn Mawr Terrace. From the young woman that meets you at the main entrance to the nursing staff and aides . After spending 45 days in Chester Crozier hospital for two amputations to my right leg and fighting a severe case of sepsis shock. I remember arriving around 6 pm on Friday evening...my nurse Peter greeted me. I told him I was so glad to meet him. He let me know what to expect. That I would be evaluated over the next 24 hours. He made me feel at ease explaining everything to me. I was a patient for 5 weeks. I have to say the days flew by. Going to physical therapy and occupational Therapy daily was the best. What impressed me was the staff ! They built my confidence and pushed me to go Beyond my expectations. They set goals daily for me to achieve. I am so greatful to them. I love the daily activities that they have for patients and residents! Linda and Penny do an awesome job. They schedule daily activities for the residences and patients to help make the days more Pleasant. What I liked was the option to eat in your room or go to the dining room. I was Impressed that the tables were set with Tablecovers, silverware, water glasses and flowers on the tables. Breakfast was prepared in front of you. With many options like eggs Anyway you like them, pancakes, oatmeal, variety of cereal and fruit. They also gave you options with food choices to your liking. I enjoyed my meal served at our table. It was great to share time with other patients and residents with good conversation. My room was cleaned daily ... my bed was made by my aide daily. The care of the nurses and Aides was very appreciated. I was so grateful for the staff that I made a promise that once I was walking on my prosthetic leg, I would be back to volunteer. Well if you stop by on Wednesday or Thursday you will find me walking the hallways... trying to put a smile on someone's face and paying it forward!! Joe Boris read more

My mom is currently there, Sept 27, 2018 this place is a really nice place. The greatest staff, Joseph and Rasheed took away ANY concerns I had from the 1st night ... there are too many female staff members to mention each by name... the cleanest rooms with bathrooms in each bedroom. I discovered this by accident , and I am grateful that I did. I WAS AFRAID TO LEAVE MY MOM IN THE OTHER PLACE SHE ORIGINALLY WENT TO I have to say, I would highly reccomend Bryn Mawr Terrace to anybody I meet who is in need of care for an ILL parent Thank you all again from the bottom of my heart Nicki Pech Drexel Hill Pa read more

This place is more of a regular nursing home then a physical therapy rehab facility. My grandmother was sent here for rehab. I wish her plan sent her to Magee or Moss rehab. She would have been better off. This place is creepy. read more

My mom stayed at Bryn Mawr Terrace after a quadruple by-pass and was incredibly pleased. My father was a resident for a while there as well after his hip and knee surgeries. We were very pleased with the care, value, and personalized attention they gave us. The neighborhood is safe and the center is clean. The whole family felt as if we were part of their organization thanks to a team effort by everyone there! Thank you Bryn Mawr Terrace. I visited my father recently at Bryn Mawr Terrace for 3 hours. After the visit, I was called by the Social Worker and told, because I had taken pictures inside the facility, I was not permitted to visit my father again. According to everything I have read and everyone I have spoken to, this is not grounds for preventing a visit. read more

After having surgery for a compound fracture of my leg, I spent 3 weeks at Bryn Mawr Terrace in their short-term rehabilitation ward. Overall, I had an extremely positive experience. The nurses, aides, and physical therapists were all well-trained, professional, caring, and went out of their way to be attentive and accommodating. Everyone I met was extraordinarily nice. Also appreciated the quality of the physical therapy: every day for almost an hour (and more if I wanted to use the facility on my own); well-informed and highly trained; and again, very caring, patient, and attentive. My dear sister ( who had polio in her left leg ) is coming from Pennsylvania Hosp having had her 2nd knee replacement on the right knee, she has the biggest cast on from her hip to the top her foot, she can barely move . . . she is there for rehab, in the 7 days she has been there she has had physical therapy 3x's. I asked 3 times 3 different people 3 different days if she could be put into a wheelchair Sunday when I came to visit and I could take her outside, all said yes, Sunday comes and no one knows how to get her out of bed, very disappointed in everything about Bryn Mawr Terrace, 99% of the people who work there are very very hard pressed to do anything! My second visit a lady read me the riot act because I hadn't filled out her personal things paper and then she had to show me how to do it like I was a 2 year old. Her food came I couldn't have told you what it was for love or money and there was nothing saying what it was! No one every smiles, says hello, NOTHING, I feel for people who have no one to visit. My grandmother was in there 40+ years ago and I think some of the equipment was there then. On a positive note, I will say the people who work there who are friendly, smiling, helpful etc. are wonderful wonderful but they are few and far between. Very Very Sad! read more

Our family member has been a long term resident at Bryn Mawr Terrace. She is in need of care for everything she does on a daily basis. The reason we have kept my Aunt at BMT for so long is because of the people. They care for her and about her. The facility is clean and all of our questions are answered and addressed and all of our expectations are met. As a long term care facility, we are very pleased with Bryn Mawr Terrace. read more
