It took a while to book my initial appointment, but it was worth it. All I want is to get my back cracked, I got that and more. In our first consultation, he checked my mobility and movement and assessed that I have a mild form of mechanical pain. He created a treatment plan of 5 sessions and included exercises that would help develop my core to prevent injury during sport/workouts and improve my posture. He went beyond that by providing a brief high-pressure targeted deep massage at the beginning of the first and each subsequent session. I wouldn't say it's relaxing, but I love the pressure. He'll adjust based on your tolerance though my motto is no pain, no gain, so I take it full on. We worked mainly on my upper, lower and mid-back. *TIP* If you want to work on your back, wear a tank top instead of a strappy sports bra. I've been working on those three exercises he taught me each day. I would say they are easy enough to add to your routine and incorporate daily. Oh and it's always wonderful when a clinic charges directly to my insurance, saves all the pain of admin work.

I was able to book an appointment online which was fast and easy. Also the initial intake paper work was also done via their website. The front desk staff are friendly and offer you water or tea upon arrival. The waiting room is clean and well kept. So far I have been twice and both times I had to wait less than 5 minutes. Derek Clement RMT did my massages and he is excellent! I went for a full body massage and the pressure was just right. He always asks if there is specific area of the body that needs specific attention. I would recommend him to my family and friends. Also they billed my insurance provider directly so I only had to pay the difference, this is so much easier than waiting for a cheque from the insurance company!

The atmosphere at the clinic is upbeat and everyone is very nice from the awesome reception duo right through to the treatment team. The team really interacts here and they work together to find personalized solutions and really help you heal in the safest and quickest way possible. I have been lurching like quasimodo for almost 2 years now because of severe osteoarthritis in both hips. I was going to a different clinic but was getting nowhere. I switched to Balanced Body and the team there was able to put together a treatment regime that has really worked for me. Dr. Crystal uses the Webster technique of chiropractics so if you're afraid of being snapped and cracked her technique will put you at ease. She always explains what she's doing and why and is very positive and encouraging. Her exercise homework assignments are really on point too. Woman is a genius! Speaking of genius, Rhonda "Massage Ninja" Beckstead is amazing. My treatment includes 30 min massage and 30 min FST and in just a handful of treatments the flexibility and movement she's help me regain is astounding. Don't let the fact that she's tiny confuse you. She's is crazy strong. Last but not least John Biggar is a kick ass physiotherapist. He is really great at identifying the areas that need work and pinpointing issues. He also assigns exercises that are easy to do at home and at work. He was a great at upping my strength before surgery. Overall I would highly recommend this team. If the folks I have worked with are indication you can't go wrong with any of the staff here. Some other stuff: There is ample parking around the office. Some paid street parking and one tiny street over some 1 hour free parking. The office is completely accessible. It's on the main floor of the building and is all on one level. The office and treatment rooms are modern and kept in pristine condition.

They always have some kind of cucumber or fruit water at the front which is a nice touch. I've been coming here for about half a year and have no complaints. Would recommend this to those who are looking for an actual therapeutic massage, rather than just a "relaxation massage". I can appreciate a relaxing massage with essential oils and spa-type flair, but after about 30 mins I'm a bit bored. The No Frills massage is just that - go in and cater to your needs. Amy is my go-to RMT. I have tried their RMTs, but Amy is brilliant for me because she provides deep-tissue massage and hits pressure points. If I am honest, it hurt quite a lot in the beginning but in the best way. I felt renewed after. Since it is downtown, I typically walk or bike because parking can be a pain. The building is right outside of College station, which is quite convenient.

None have compared to the massages from John. The location itself is more wellness and less spa based. It's basic - but more importantly clean and hygienic.
