As soon as you walk in the door, past the stairs, you just feel this relaxing atmosphere. The place is clean, staff is friendly and they have a new easy online booking system, but space is limited so being on time is important. I once missed my appointment and had to reschedule, but staff were still extremely helpful and arranged another one for me on that same day. You won't find better customer service than Japanese customer service, it is top notch anywhere you go, and this place is no different.

The massages are nothing short of miraculous and provide complete relief and what I call my "reset" . I work long hours carrying a heavy camera on Toronto film sets . Therapists at TSC will do traditional Shiatsu and also Acupuncture .They also use "moxibustion" and now have added a very interesting Japanese oil massage. Some of the therapists are RMT or have the acupuncture certification. The therapist I see most often (when she is available) is Chiho Yamaguchi . Thanks to TSC. I think that Japanese shiatsu adds a few years on to our lives. I have probably sent over 50 people through the years and I have always heard high praise .

It took a while to book my initial appointment, but it was worth it. All I want is to get my back cracked, I got that and more. In our first consultation, he checked my mobility and movement and assessed that I have a mild form of mechanical pain. He created a treatment plan of 5 sessions and included exercises that would help develop my core to prevent injury during sport/workouts and improve my posture. He went beyond that by providing a brief high-pressure targeted deep massage at the beginning of the first and each subsequent session. I wouldn't say it's relaxing, but I love the pressure. He'll adjust based on your tolerance though my motto is no pain, no gain, so I take it full on. We worked mainly on my upper, lower and mid-back. *TIP* If you want to work on your back, wear a tank top instead of a strappy sports bra. I've been working on those three exercises he taught me each day. I would say they are easy enough to add to your routine and incorporate daily. Oh and it's always wonderful when a clinic charges directly to my insurance, saves all the pain of admin work.

I have been going to different MTs all over the GTA and in my opinion, Joan is truly the best one! Everyone and everything about the place was great! I called several days earlier to book Joan (recommended by a friend) and the receptionist whom I spoke with was friendly and accommodating. I love that they give you an email reminder the day before so I wouldn't forget the appointment. The place was super clean and the fact that I booked the massage for 8am, there was no one there besides the MT and I, making the place nice and relaxing. I really hate to go to places where the walls are thin and I can hear people talking outside. The massage was seriously the best! Joan was super nice and made sure I was comfortable. She definitely focused on the areas that needed more work (shoulders, upper back). Perhaps it is because Joan is a Athletic Therapist, but she knew exactly how to go about the problem. Heebee is extremely personable, kind, very caring and easy to speak with. Heebee is extremely thorough and is always ensuring that I am comfortable.
