The restaurant was busy with a Labor Day crowd and seemed a bit understaffed, but the owner/waitress was incredibly warm and welcoming. My husband and I ordered the spicy chicken cubes, eggplant with garlic sauce, and rare beef pho. The stir-fries were outstanding--the chicken packed a punch with spice and that wonderful numbing kick from Sichuan peppercorns, and the eggplant was fried to perfection with crispy edges, just like a dish I loved growing up in China. My husband enjoyed his pho as well. The kitchen was clearly overwhelmed with online orders, so they weren't able to prepare some of the authentic dishes from their "secret menu," but what we did have was excellent. Generous portions, reasonable prices, and absolutely satisfying after two days of hiking and driving. Highly recommend!

I remember driving into Ashland in the middle of a snowstorm because I had an appointment with my yoga teacher and I do NOT cancel on her. After we finished yoga, I decided to pop in to Dobra tea and get a hot mushroom latte. I sat at one of the tables in the front room looking out at the snow falling. Almost no one was out and it was like being in the middle of a snow globe with a warm cup in my hand. Another time I was there with a friend for lunch. He ordered their avocado toast with egg, which I had never ordered before. He insisted I take a bite, which I graciously agreed to do. The flavors were so exquisite that it immediately became one of my many favorite things to order at Dobra. I learned they make their own English muffins, which is the "toast". Wow!!!!!!
