I have never written a review in my life, good or bad, but this was so bad, I had to write one. My husband and I had a terrible experience here. We had spoken to one of the managers there and she was very helpful and nice at first, until my husband went to check out. He had two bottles of fruity fusion drinks and one bottle of brandy. She asked for an I.D (every time we go in anywhere else they only ask for one person's I.D) he gave her his, and then she asked for mine. I had left my purse at home and she then refused to sell my husband any alcohol. I tried to argue the matter and even told my husband he could just come back later, but she said she would not sell him anything since she already saw us together. Needless to say, we were not happy. Oh! And she even added that she would not sell him anything due to the possibility of him giving other's alcohol during the big party weekend (you mean father's day???? with two bottles of mixed drinks and one of brandy??? what????). As well as there was a man behind us with his 8 year old son, she did not ask for both of their I.D's, nor did she refuse to sell anything to him. So now I'm sure there is a drunk 8 year old out there and it is all her fault. SO anyways, we left, went to a different liquor store and had no issues at all! We even bought 2 bottles of whiskey as well as the mixers! (They did not even ask for my husband's I.D!) I would recommend that place but do not want to get them in trouble lol. But I would never step foot into Bubbles again. Terrible place. read more

Selection is great, I always find something new to try! I have a huge issue with their customer service though. I have been coming here for over a year and never experienced any issues. I go with my friend, brought my sister, etc. millions of times and never experienced any problems... Today I went in with my friend, who has an account and is a frequent shopper, and they refused to sell to us because she didn't have her ID. This is the first time anyone has asked for both of our ID's when only one of us is buying alcohol. The cashier was very rude and did not explain why this was suddenly an issue. We ended up going back to the house picking up her ID and returning. The original cashier was gone so I went to a new cashier and experienced the same rude customer service. I asked if this was a new rule and he said bluntly, "no I do this everytime." A lie, he has rung me up when I have been in there with my underage sister and he never said a word about seeing her ID. I inquired about what would happen if I came in with a minor and he said they would only sell to me if I could prove legal guardianship. Am I supposed to bring my child's birth certificate with me? I looked up laws and there is nothing about checking all ID's. I would not have had an issue with any of this had the staff been more polite, or if this is a rule then they need to consistently follow it. I also watched several other customers pay in line that were couples and not both parties were carded..... Not impressed with the customer service at all.... I work in retail and would never treat a customer the way I was treated. They acted like I was a criminal only buying beer for minors. I'll look for a better store in the future. read more

Good selection, however, prices are quite a bit higher than any other of the large liquor stores. My major issue is the staff.... HORRIBLE!!! Every time I've ever sought help in finding the location of a wine (they move stuff around periodically), I'm spoken to condescendingly and staff feels like they're doing you some great "favor" by helping you out. The self-important, snobby attitudes have finally driven me off. Especially since I'm only going about every 3 months (and spending $200-$300 on wine). I'll drive to Tipsy's or Davidsons in Highlands Ranch. They seem to want my business. read more

Walked in with GF who had her 15 y/o sister with her b/c she didn't want to just leave her in the car. Was told I couldn't buy beer b/c I came in with them. After GF was already told she couldn't buy her wine either b/c she had her sister with her. Was told its against the law to buy alcohol with a minor by the condescending and assumptive cashier. Probably 80% of my beer, wine, and liquor purchases are made at Parker Payless Liquors. When I venture outside of Parker, I typically find myself at Lukas Liquors. But, on those occasions when I am in the Castle Rock area, then Bubbles Liquor World is definitely my retailer of choice. The store is very visible from I-25. Indeed, it is easier to see it, than it is to get to it, if one is unfamiliar with the streets in this area. But, it is well worth the trip. The store is huge, the selection here is excellent, and the prices are competitive. The sales people are very helpful here as well. Bubbles offers a chiller where you can cool your wine, etc. in just 3 to five minutes. The store also offers beer and wine tastings, and has a rewards program. They even have a walk-in humidor. Perhaps most uniquely, there is a wine tasting room in the corner of the store. This is a "wine education center" that is handsomely appointed and comfortable. read more

I have to report that I continue to be disappointed by Bubbles. It is a huge and attractive liquor store but for wine drinkers it is horribly overpriced, especially for a big box store. As far as local competition goes, Castle Pines North Wine & Spirits offers better pricing albeit with less selection but still nice choices. If I want a boutique wine experience I go to the Village Liquors and if I want to stock up with great priced wines I go to Davidson's Liquors or Lucas Liquors for the best selection with true discount pricing. read more

9 months ago (pre-pregnancy) I would have given 5 stars. I have spent SO much money here over the years. However I stopped by today (VERY pregnant) to ask for a few empty wine boxes as we are moving. I was shocked when the manager politely told me no, because it's the holidays. He said they couldn't spare even one....as I glanced at the large pile behind him. What ever happened to the holidays being about giving, kindness, and loving our neighbors? Just because I obviously wasn't there to buy booze, but have been a loyal past customer, they couldn't spare one empty box. Shame on you Bubbles, I will be taking my business elsewhere - and will let my friends and family know to do the same. read more

If you like a great selection of beer wine and liquor all in one place this is the place for you. However, if you are the type of person that believes that employees working checkout should be more concerned with making sure you had everything you wanted and checking you out in a timely manner and not more concerned with their conversations with their co-workers and manager about what they are doing that evening, than this may not be the place for you. Great selection of beer, wine, and liquor. Can't give it full stars because some of the employees are not the nicest or brightest. One cashier acted as if people should stay in the hot car since she'll card EVERYONE, even the wife who is 6 months pregnant and is way over 21. The cashier gave my husband a nasty look and said he needed to show his ID, mind you he is almost thirty and looks not even remotely younger than 21. Then she says she'll need mine too. Um hello! I'm not drinking, Not giving my unborn child Fetal alcohol syndrome! I just didn't want to stay in the car. The people that get carded are those that carry the alcohol and those that pay, not everyone because there are some people that have to bring their children in since they're not going to leave them in a hot car! On 10/31/21 a manager named Christian refused to accept a legal form of ID in the state of Colorado from my wife. We have shopped at Bubbles for years, Randy the store manager has always promoted a great service culture at the store so I'm not sure where they found this guy. I asked him to please call Randy and he simply said "nope" and smiled at me. He said you can talk to the store owner, to which he did not provide any contact information. As I paid for our items and was leaving I told the cashier to have a wonderful evening, I then looked at Christian and said will be speaking soon, to which he snidely replied "probably not." with his arms folded. Three major problems for the ownership of Bubbles: #1. There are simply too many options for any type of good or service for poor customer service, you will lose customers, and #2. This manager was rude, conceited and arrogant, which is probably a bravado to make up for a lack of any type of ability, but the real tragedy is he did it all in front of at least 2 of your line level employees. Awful example setting obviously. Finally #3, we are understanding people but not everyone is, not accepting a legal form of ID will eventually land you in a legal environment. read more

The only good thing about Bubbles is their frequent buyer program. They have a very large wine selection but it's quite difficult to find what you are looking for - they seriously should have maps available. The cashiers for the most part are ok but forget about asking anyone for help, they are very snotty and act like you are putting them out. Not a warm, friendly, inviting atmostphere and zero care for the customers. They have a monopoly in the small town Castle Rock market and their attitude and behavior reflects. read more

You want the good stuff because the new in-laws are in town? They got it. You want the cheap stuff because she just left you, they got that, too! Sure, I would like to see most of the prices to be more reasonable, but the selection is broad and interesting. There are a few wines and beers I have enjoyed in my travels that are difficult to find in Colorado, much less Castle Rock, but I can pick them up at Bubbles. Great for a weekend of reminiscing. They never seem to have enough registers open (but they have that capacity!). It might be a sign of their success. The rewards program may not make you rich overnight, but it is a nice reason to keep coming back. And we do. read more

Castle Rock is kind of boring. After about 9pm 90% of the town shuts down. I'll admit to more than one occasion of picking up food and a build-your-own six-pack (at Bubbles) for a "night in". Despite the inherit sadness of tying on a buzz whilst watching Netflix alone, I did drink a lot of great beer. I live in Denver now but this is one place I will continue to frequent on my way to and from work. On top of having all the major beer "standards" Bubbles has the Colorado breweries covered as well as a solid national selection of micro-brews. *Singles *All your typical cases *$10 flat rate on self-built six-packs *Bombers, rockets and growlers (oh my!) To be honest I didn't really explore much more of the store outside of the beer section but the place is huge and has rows upon rows of wine and liquors. This is a great store. It is huge. They have a great wine selection and love they have a cooler so if you find something you like but it is not chilled you can put it in the cooler for a couple minutes and it is ready for you. Also, Friday night from 4-7 is wine tasting and Sat. from 4-7 is beer sampling. You can also make your own six pack of beet which my hubby's friend really enjoys. Makes it so you can try 6 different beers/ciders. Everyone is really friendly here too. read more

Very disappointed! I've been coming here for several years and never had issues but lately customer service is going down the toilet. Word of caution don't enter with anyone under 21 even if it's your own child because they assume you will buy liquor for them. Rude and I will NEVER return. Great selections of Bourbon, Scotch, and just about everything else. The prices were less than a couple other stores in the area, but there may be some DISCOUNT DISCOUNT stores that are even cheaper. Even if there are, then I highly doubt that they have the same selection. read more

Wow, wish we had one of these in Wichita! This place is like the best liquor store ever. Great selections of everything. You can build your own six pack from about 6 coolers full of every kind of beer imaginable! Awesome!! They also had a beer from Hawaii that we loved when we were there, Longboard Lager. Bubbles looks fantastic from the outside, but they are missing a number of things on the inside: reasonable prices, friendly service and the ability to take American Express. I would steer clear of Bubbles and instead shop up at Davidson's or the liquor store by King Soopers. read more

Feel horribly offended, went to the liqour store with my nephew and was told they couldn't sell to me because I had a child with me.. even though the people behind me had two small children and they sad it was because he was bigger.. I'm sorry I should leave my nephew in the car when it is 90 degrees outside.. um no.. I'm 28 yrs old not 21 with a teenager and I'm sure if I was I would not have brought him in with me.. and they said it's because I wasn't his guardian excuse me but how do you know that he was very upset he thought it was because of his skin color when even though I am a white female he is my flesh and blood and I'm offended that they would even just assume I wasnt. If you like box stores (Home Depot, Lowes, Staples, Best Buy) then this is for you. If you want an unusual selection or to ask a question about a food pairing, this place won't work. Here you get $8 an hour clerks who know as much about liquor, beer and wine as my 9lb dog. If you want good info about food and wine drive up 85 to Village Wines, better selection and someone who has a clue what they are talking about. Don't recommend. read more

Every time I have been here I have not been disappointed. They always have what I want in stock with a few interesting choices to peak my interest when looking for a new favorite. The place for full and pony kegs. Has a great selection of brews and a better selection of whiskey and scotch not to mention you can get lost for days in the selection of wine (i swear my wife has spent the night a couple times in the wine section). I like this place as it's convenient to my home, has an impressive selection, and has a buyers reward club so you can get a few dollars credit now and again. Having lived in the northeast, I've been spoiled by state run and/or tax free liquor stores so I'm overly sensitive to pricing. So, honestly I never feel like I'm getting screaming good deals here. When an item is "on sale" it's usually marked at the price that I was used to paying back east all of the time. But remember, back east was often tax free as well! I agree with another reviewer about the wine prices being generally higher than expected. The staff roaming the aisles and stocking the shelves are always very pleasant and helpful. They always ask if I've found everything I was looking for and I generally answer, "yes, now I'm looking for the stuff I don't need!" :) They often have different promotional contests going on and a couple of months back, I actually won one of them! The cashiers don't always strike me as the warm and fuzzy types! That is a very big generalization as I have had pleasant experiences with a couple of them on occasion. read more

They have a great selection but the customer service skills of their cashiers leaves a lot to be desired. They seem to act like they are doing you a favor by being there. I've only been there twice and both times the store only had a couple of customers including me and both times I felt like I was bothering them. I will be looking for another liquor store that cares about your business. I'll pay slightly higher prices to be treated like a customer. read more

Big selection, prices slightly higher, but the prices aren't my main concern. Went in today to buy some beer for later after I was done doing work in my new house. Unfortunately, I was unaware my wife had taken my debit card to by groceries later on. So, I tried my credit card that has a low limit and use for everday expenses and pay off every month. Being the end of month and some extra repairs needed to my sprinkler system, It was denied. I told the old lady working there at noon about my predicament and she said "well I dont believe you're married, you look too young." after she had looked at my id... I'm 27..... Is 27 too young to be married? Hell no. I put my beer aside and just bought the beer for my wife. But wow, it wasn't just that comment. It was the way she looked back at her coworker after saying that. Like she thought I was a stumbling drunk. I have no bloated face, no beer gut, I was well dressed in new clothes, wearing cologne, with a new haircut. And she acts like I'm some drunk with an unbelievable excuse. I'll only go there again because of its close proximity with my new residence. If she acts like that again I'll notify management because that's flipping ridiculous. Dont work day shifts at a damn liquor store if you're going to judge people that come in and assume they are making some silly excuse just to get their fix of alcohol without going into withdrawal. ah, and, I never ask for it. But I do have my military id clearly displayed in my wallet. Most employees grant the military discount, even though I never ask. This whole time of my wallet sitting there she never once offered to see if that would even make a difference in the transaction. I left insulted, and less importanlty, paying full price. read more

This is the only place to buy liquor in Castle Rock! They are the least expensive because they are so large! They are great as far as service as well. As they get busy they keep opening counters. I will never buy anywhere else in Castle Rock! read more
