We had a terrible experience here. We got 2 beers, one was terrible and one was mediocre at best. They ran out of pizza dough, so I got chicken wings. They were decent but expensive for 6 wings. I also got a Large Basket of Fries for $8.95. Laughable because it was about the size of a kids meal. The amount of fries could fit in the palm of my hand. This was our first stop on a brewery day with some friends. They had a great variety of different beers for everyone - I got their blackberry sour and my hubby got the coffee milk stout. Both were really good! They had a big taproom inside as well as a bunch of outdoor seating, and a food truck outside. Would go back and try a new beer if we're back in the area. read more

Always one of our favorites, we'll be coming here a lot this month for stout month. On the first night, the coffee wasn't our favorite, but our daughter liked it. My wife and I each had a Colorado, and then I switched to the Deez Nuts, which I like as well. Usually liking the Coal Train Porter, its tasted a little more bitter the past few times. Came in for a St Paddy's day pint and to my surprise, their famous Irish Red is BACK!! This brew is in my opinion one of their best and should remain on the roster year round it is THAT good. The staff is always friendly here and the ambiance was vibrant with a live Irish band playing. read more

Favorite place to stop into 105 West any time I am in Castle Rock, the beers are always on point and they usually have something new to try. Love getting a flight to try all the new items or when I just can't decide. I have had three different beers from 105 Brewing that I have really enjoyed! I have had two versions of Deez Nuts which I believe I had the original which was a great English Mild Ale. The other version involved Peanut Butter and Hazelnuts which was really good! I preferred this one out of the two! I've decided no brewery... no matter how amazing their beer is... will ever get above 3 stars from me anymore. Drinking establishments are no longer sacred places for adult fun and gatherings. Every brewery has now become a place for birthers to bring their spawn to run around screaming while we all try to enjoy drinks. I'm advocating for adult only Days, since apparently "family days" seem to be a thing now. Last thing we all want is a 4 year old screaming in our ears while trying to enjoy a quality local beer. At least create a cordoned off space that's adult only. Also - this place says "no outside food or drink" as they usually have at least 2 food trucks on site, yet, every family walked in with McDonalds to placate their spawn. Not against the rules? Fine I'll bring my own food in too then. Two thumbs down for ambience/environment. Adding an update - apparently using a similar review to all the breweries you go to that operate similarly is lazy. My wife and I came here this past Sunday for the first time with our dogs, after visiting the Castle Rock farmers market and Iron Mule brewery. It was very busy, as people gathered to get a good spot to watch the Avs' Stanley Cup final game. We were able to snag a table on the patio just as another couple finished their drinks. Excellent atmosphere, pleasant crowd, good beer. There was a really good Celtic folk band playing inside. I enjoyed watching a mom have a great time dancing to their music with her two young daughters. We had two beers each and got fresh soft pretzels to go from the pizza truck. After spending the morning at the shooting range, the boys and I decided a beer was in order. I've been eyeing this brewery since the summer and was pleased to see it was within walking distance from the gun range. Off we went! STAR #1: Located in a strip mall, the space appears to be small from the outside. However, once you enter, it's a different story! With large community tables, individual tables, a spacious outdoor area (with heaters!) and a lengthy bar top, it's easy to find a seat! We opted for a community table for our party of 4, which was just the right amount of space! The outdoor and bear decor, creates a mountain-ques atmosphere, perfect for Colorado! STAR #2: We were promptly greeted by the friendly bartender, who gave us the run-down of the establishment. It's an order at the bar type of establishment, so we were given the tools to create our own flight to sample as many brews as possible. Throughout our visit, the bartender frequently checked back with us, cleared our empty glasses and samplers, and engaged in light conversation/laughter when discussing the names of the brews. STAR #3: Speaking of brew, wow! Uniquely named with hilarious titles, the brews take on a personality all their own. In our flight of 8, we opted to try just about everything on tap. We ranged from a light blonde, Pale Ale, IPA, Sour, and more - which gave us the perfect understanding of the various styles and flavors offered. While I enjoyed the Bruit IPA (which tasted like Champagne!), the boys happily enjoyed Deez Nuts - a creative take on a Peanut Butter Ale, which was perfectly nutty and crisp! STAR #4: 10% off your tab, when you check in on Yelp! Additionally - although there is a "no tipping" policy, any money left on the bar, or at your table, goes to their charity! How sweet! Great beer! Stopped by here on Sunday afternoon after a quick hike nearby. I had two people in my party so there were three beers total. Food truck included everyday. I got an awesome shirt from here as well. We had the Too Drunk to Funk, Latitude Lager, and the Tangerine Rocky Mountain Juice. I am a fan of the light beer genre, so the Latitude Lager was my favorite. You can bring your dogs with you here, but they need to stay on the patio as they are not allowed inside. Plenty of room inside as well but it can get packed on the weekends. read more

Easily one of the best breweries south of Denver, and definitely the best brewery in Castlerock. They have great IPAs. They have great stouts and bourbon barrel aged beers. Their Quadrophenia is deliciously addictive just like so many of their beers are. I'm kind of glad I live an hour away if you know what I mean. I've never had a bad beer here. This place is centrally located with average beer. The facility is very COVID friendly and clean and lots of outdoor seating. Our favorite beer was the Citra and Chinook - an easy drinking hazy IPA. Reason for the two stars? We were sitting at our table playing a game with our nine year old son when the bartender and the Tapas food truck person decided to take a table right next to us to catch up and hang out. Totally fine by us - it was slow and no one wanted the food truck anyway. What was completely unacceptable was the level of swearing and language these guys so boisterously displayed in front of our kid. Now, you'll argue that maybe we shouldn't have brought a child to a brewery, but I would have been offended by the cussing had it just been me and my husband. I'm up in the area traveling and my cousin recommended we stop in here for a beer. Their Deez Nuts beer tastes like Nutella that will get you buzzed. Their Lucky Charms Irish red has seductive notes of toasted marshmallow, with a sweet finish that will bring on the waves of nostalgia as it tastes exactly like the surgery delight of Lucky Charms. I went on a Sunday afternoon, and this place was BUSY. Despite that, we were served quickly and found a place to sit without issue. The service staff were friendly and were happy to talk you through what beers lined up best with your interests. I'm hoping to return before I leave the area because it was a great experience with great beer. There is also a food truck out front if you want to grab a bite to eat, which with how tasty these beers are you might need to put something in your stomach before the ride home. read more

What a fantastic brewery!! I was just there for the South in Your mouth event which hosted several local south Denver area breweries. I had so much fun. The establishment is large with lots of seating. It seems they have an in-house food truck that serves delicious pizza, but there are other trucks there on rotation. The beer was phenomenal. I highly recommend Deez Nuts. It was probably one of the best beers I've ever had. I would go back to this brewery just for this beer even if I hated everything else about it - good thing I didn't hate anything, though!! It's a little far from where I live but worth the trip. Man, wish this place was closer to the springs! Stopped in for a couple of beers and some food from the food truck out front. This place was crazy busy, even with COVID going on. Definitely liked the vibe of this place, but tended toward the loud side. I didn't mind as I was solo and watching sports on the TV. Love the outdoor seating too. Food trucks rotate, but the BBQ one that was there on this sunday was phenomenal. Cant remember the name of it though. I only tried the amber lager, but it was pretty damn good. Awesome brewery with friendly staff and delicious beer! I had the Bear Chested imperial stout and it was very smooth with great rich flavor. Sat at the bar and talked to Kat and Lucas who were behind the bar and their sales manager Ryan who was sitting at the bar. You can't tip the employees since they are salaried but you can donate to whatever cause they have selected for the month which is super cool! I will visit this brewery every time I'm out that way. They are expanding their bar which is a great sign. Awesome food truck outside too. Cheffins Cheesesteaks and Cubanos. I had a cheesesteak with mushrooms and jalapeño cream cheese. My best friend and I took part in the Bear'l Cellars Wine tasting tonight at 105 W Brewing. The head winemaker was very nice and provided a lot of information, but I was disappointed with what was provided for the cost. For $50 a piece we were provided one glass of wine at the bar, 5 tastings of wines that could be purchased at Bubbles, a tasting of a wine that is curated by Bear'l that will be ready in 6 months and a charcuterie 'board' (I.e. one piece of bread, two crackers, three slices of cheese, two peach slices with arugula, one mini macaron and 6 candied nuts). It was a good effort, but after attending several wine tastings across the country I wouldn't return unless the structure and composition changed. read more

I bookmarked this brewery when I booked my trip to Colorado. Little did I know it would be less than 15 minutes of where I was staying, and that, the same weekend I was there, they would be celebrating their 1st year anniversary. Located in a small plaza and near the shooting range, the place is not big but does have tables, both, outside and inside. For the outside they even have 2 fire pits for when weather gets cold - cool feature. Right outside there was a food truck, which I've gotten used to seeing at (beer only) breweries. Their menus were placed at the bar and every table to make it easy for everyone to order. I had just come from lunch so I stuck to beer. Bar was busy but moved quickly. Also, they did not rush me when asking for recommendations, and where happy to help me decide on what to have. They have flights, 10oz, 14oz and 32oz. Half growlers are served in a large can, and then they have the regular glass (bigger) growlers. I went with the following (in order of preference): * Pumpkin Saison - wish it had more pumpkin flavor. Not bad but not my favorite * Crowfoor Coffee Brown - Coffee flavor definitely comes through. If you are a coffee lover, this one is for you. * Squirrel Nut Sipper - ok, I had to get this one just for the name - funny :p and, glad I did. Liked this one for its smooth caramel taste * Lemonrye - wheat beer. Refreshing, light, and the citrus flavor made this the winner for me. We sat outside to enjoy the beer, and the view of the beautiful (almost) full moon. Staff came from time to time, asking if we needed anything else, and removing empty glasses and trash from the tables. When you order, they give you a number, associated with your tab, to make it easy for them to take your order without any mistakes. When finished, I went to close out, got a souvenir glass, and noticed the "tips sign". They don't accept gratuity - in their own words, the company takes good care of their employees - so whatever cash/ tips you leave behind, they donate to the charity of the month, which is announced on that same "tips sign". All hail the strip mall brewery! (And no, I don't mean that as a knock). It's great that breweries can find lots of places to set up shop, it's rewarding for them, and us as beer fans! Decent location in Castle Rock, not hard to find. Good space inside and several patio tables out front. Good, friendly staff. Standard brewery decor. Several beers on tap to work for any palate. You've got some darker stuff, some lighter stuff, some hoppy stuff, and things in between. Most people will find something to enjoy here. Staff wore masks, but occasionally unicorned it. This place definitely didn't seem half capacity, and tables were still kind of close to each other. However they did very quickly sanitize tables when guests left. It didn't feel like they were limiting capacity very much. Worth a stop and totally a decent spot! Remember, 3 stars isn't bad. It's just solid. Wear your masks, try some beers, but do your best to sit outside if you can! read more

This brewery had my favorite beer of the day. Deez nuts. It's a peanut Brown ale. The aroma was incredible. The flavor was not as great but all in all it was worth the visit for that beer. The rest of the beers were average to slightly above average in my opinion. There weren't any I wouldn't have again, but none that I couldn't live without either. Prices were reasonable for craft breweries. They had some really cool merchandise but we're out of all the good sizes. We would have spent another $75 if they did have decent sizes. The place could become kid friendly, but the changing station in the bathroom wasn't installed. I don't know about you, but I'm not going to kneel or sit on a more public bathroom floor. Things to work on, availability of clothing and finish making the place kid friendly. These days high chairs and changing stations can make or break someone's visit. read more
