This place is absolutely bonkers, in the best way. I've heard of the greatness that is Buc-ee's, but this was our first visit. Overwhelming is an understatement. This is the busiest gas station I've ever seen. This is busier than any Black Friday I've ever seen. It was absolutely packed, almost to the point of it being dangerous having a small child because if they got lost, we'd never seen them again. (This honestly is the biggest reason we didn't stay beyond going to the restroom - it's a cool experience, but WAY too crowded.) It's got darn near everything - fudge, food, pristine bathrooms (how!?) - you name it, Buc-ee's probably has it. Just way too busy for a young family with wild, exhausted kiddos. I AM BEYOND DISGUSTED WITH BUC-EE'S. I DROVE 12 HOURS TO BE BAMBOOZLED BY THIS BEAVER. I just purchased a chopped brisket sandwich and it had multiple stands of hair in it. I threw up in my car. The employees handling that section did not had their mask on correctly nor any hair nets. This is a safety food violation and so unsanitary. Buc-ees always seems to be a stop for us, when we're in a rural area. This was (I think) the only stop for food and supplies for miles until we hit the beach area. We've always wanted to try one of their brisket sandwiches because it always looks so good, when we've seen then in the past. We ordered two of their brisket sandwiches and we all agreed that it was pretty good for what one may identify as "gas station food". Buc-ee's is not your ordinary gas station, folks! Honestly the highlight of my trip to Gulf Shores! How good could it be? DL went in to poke fun and show my family how silly this whole Buc-ee's thing is. Boy was I wrong. Massive in size, but delivers. We pull up to a pump and fill, then head inside. Patio furniture and appliances line the outside all for sale! The restrooms was spacious and sparkling. We wander in awe, because why aren't gas stations like this everywhere. The sandwich station grabbed our attention as we watched a cowboy chop brisket which looked like a dance. We grabbed a freshly made sandwich still warm through the wrapper. The jerky selection is insane, actually it's all insane. Had to grab a cheesecake cause why not. The gift shop was an impulse shoppers paradise. Checkout was easy and friendly. We dug into our food. The brisket sandwich was perfect, smokey and fall apart goodness. Cheesecake was creamy and surprise had blueberry topping, of course it did. I love Buc-ees. Idk who he is, but be mine. read more

Every Buc-ee's i've ever been to is fantastic and this is just another brick in the wall of Beaver Excellence. Have stopped at this specific location 4 times and each time the bathrooms are as clean as the last time and the coffee is as hot and flavorful. This was my first ever visit to a Buc-ee's and it was kind of magical. So very many gas pumps. Reasonable prices. Inside is very neat, clean and well organized. I could not find any ibuprofen for my headache. But they have a soda fountain with what looks like 50 different sodas. Fresh hot food prepared as you watch. Plenty of snacks. Plenty of clothing items, home decor. Well lit inside and out. The restrooms were pretty amazing in their cleanliness and were well stocked with the necessities. read more

This is fourth time coming here. We were charging our car decided to get dinner since we were so hungry. Husbands sandwich was 90% fat and my pre-made Cesar salad didn't have dressing. Which I didn't realize until we were several miles down the road. Very disappointed! read more

Buc-cee's is always awesome. I couldn't adequately describe how all-encompassing this place is without writing a review that is essentially the equivalent in length to "War and Peace". In a nutshell, they have almost everything you could ever want while on the road. A few things, they have good brisket. It's probably on the scale of mid to upper quality, but not top tier. But it is absolutely a fantastic sandwich. Very filling. I love it the coffee there, it's got a very good taste, and the vanilla creamer is low fat and zero sugar. Perfect for a diabetic like me. There's a variety of snacks I enjoy there, nuts and things like that. I'm always spending a little money there. The staff is always courteous, polite and well trained. They are friendly and very proficient at their tasks. It's always a pleasure to stop there. (Except for weekends during the summer when it's super busy). Always providing a nice break with CLEAN restrooms, Buc-ee's is a fun stop, especially if you're road weary. While it is a little overwhelming, it's still a fun place to stretch your legs, get a great sandwich or taco (I hear the breakfast tacos are where it's at), get some interesting treats like different types of nuts, candies, or jerky, and do some shopping for fun house wear or tshirts. This location has a lot of beach wear and things you can pick up that you may have forgotten or may not have realized you needed. I finally visited the Loxley location last week, and while it was a bit crowded to get in, there were several available gas pumps, so I filled up then found a parking spot right there at the front door. When you walk in, you're greeted with a friendly hello. Don't be taken back by the long lines - the staff works so fast without rushing you to get you through the door. I get overwhelmed with all the choices, but decided just to grab a hot brisket sandwich. I did pick up some fun items from the gift area and some snacks for the condo i was heading to. I was impressed with the friendly clerk who found a way to make conversation but also got me out the door with a smile. We stopped by there today on our way out of town and I was disappointed that a lot of custom things were removed from the kiosk, especially the custom burritos. I grabbed a ground beef, cheese, and bean ready made burritos, but sadly it was not great. No flavor and no texture. The chicken tenders were still on the kiosk but they were hard and either reheated or over cooked. The chopped beef and sliced beef sandwiches were the worst because they were all fat. The sandwiches also no longer come with pickles and onions and you can't get them on the side either. Felt like I just wasted a bunch a money on food no one wanted to eat. It wasn't like this when they first opened and we stopped here and I have never had this experience at the Buc-ee's in Texas. read more

We are heading to Florida in a couple of weeks and warned my family to avoid this Buckees. We hit it last year needing to stop for gas and a rest and the place was overcrowded and the traffic was gridlocked with no one to direct it. We were stuck there for almost 2 hours to get gas and then trying to get out of the parking lot. I get it. This is on a Saturday when people are arriving and leaving all of the beach locations in the panhandle. We like Buckees in Texas but will avoid this one. read more

BUCCEE'S MGMT: Please do something about the traffic situation in this parking lot. I haven't experienced anything like this since Black Friday at the mall the year they released the Furby. It's absurd and ripe for a real road rage incident -- no number of Beaver Nuggets would be able to tame the rage that's bound to happen at any given second. I'm a Texan and understand the Buccee's hype is a real thing. It took 40 minutes to get out of the parking lot! Sorry to leave a negative review for such a generally great place/experience, but for the love of Beavers, invest in a flagger or some other system to clear this clogged mess. read more

This place is a ZOO. Long long super long lines of cars going every which way, people cutting in and out and crossways in their cars, blocking traffic, no one out here to give directions, people LEAVING THEIR CARS AT THE PUMPS TO GO IN AND SHOP!!! ???!!!! No one is telling them not to, and I wish we had NEVER pulled in here. We have wasted at least 30 minutes and just got gas, who knows how long it will take to get out of this mess. It quickly became apparent that we weren't the only ones looking forward to stopping at Buc-ee's along the highway. If it weren't for their efficient cashiers and dozens (probably 100?) gas pumps. It was insanely busy. I was thankful that most of the people were wearing masks, especially since it was so packed you couldn't avoid being less than six feet from others. There were two pet relief areas, complete with bags. Of course that didn't mean that everyone used them. Even their clever sign isn't enough to make everyone be a decent pet owner - "If your dog decides to poop, please bend over and scoop." Alongside the parking spaces, they also offer windshield washing liquid and wipers. I treated hubby to a window wash while he went inside. Inside the store, you will find just about any convenience store item you know, plus some of their own specialties. There is also a full coffee bar and fresh food options. Best of all for today's visit, you ask? The restrooms. They were clean and also provided sanitizer solution to wipe down the seat and handle. Plenty of sanitizer was also available in areas of the store and they encouraged people to use it on the way in and out. read more

TERRIBLE STOP. Long lines everywhere. We were just trying to do a quick stop. My wife needed to use the restroom and there was as big of line there as the checkout line. We tried leaving to find another place with a restroom and the parking lot is just chaos with cars barely moving. So yeah. Don't waste your time if you are on a road trip. Great place, however, they need to have the police that are here to direct traffic. Instead, they do nothing. What a cluster this is. Buc-ee's is one of the best, if not the best, gas station to stop by during any long road trip! This place legit has loads of food, beverages, snacks, merchandise, etc. It is a huge gas station with plenty of pumps for everything to fill up on gas and a huge store for everyone to browse around for food. It is really clean and has large restrooms so there is never a line. There are plenty of stalls to, ahem, handle your business! There are hand sanitizers everywhere in the restroom just in case there are those who do not wash their hands, so hopefully they do them. There are plenty of staff and they work very efficiently. They are also very friendly and will help you with whatever you may need. Recently I was returning home on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and this place was extremely busy, but the staff handled their business! It seemed as if every family was stopping at Buc-ee's to stock up on food and drinks for their long ride home. My brother and I went a little crazy and ordered a little bit of everything. We has their Pulled Pork Sandwich, Texas Cheesesteak Burrito, Slicked Sausage Sandwich, Crispy Chicken Spice Wrap, House made Chips, and a bunch of different kolaches. Everything was stuffed, delicious, and of course, very filling! All in all, Buc-ee's is not the gas station you want to miss the exit for! read more

I briefly stopped over at a Buc-ee's location in Texas back in 2018 on a road trip, I really didn't have a chance to explore the store. I  was quite fascinated & amazed from my brief observation of the store,it was disappointing I couldn't stay longer though. I didn't think much of Buc-ee's after that, until I read online that they were opening a location in  AL & I was estatic reading the news, & once again fascinated about what Buc-ee's is like. I got my chance to experience it in 2019 a few months after it opened, on my way to Gulf Shores. The minute I pull up, I'm already impressed seeing that, there's lots of open pumps reguarldess of what time of day you arrive, gas prices were relativity low compared to the gas stations & travelstops along my route.     I walk in & notice how Buc-ee's doesn't even compare to Love's & Pilot as it's much arger in size,selection, & what they have to offer their customers in reguards to foods & merchandise, that you won't find at your other known travel centers & gas stations that we all known from previous road trips,Buc-ee's is everything Stuckey's wish it can grow up to be & I'm a big Stuckey's fan. The food selection is the biggest highlight for me as soon as I enter the door as I'm usually hungry after a long drive & wanting something hardy to eat, Buc-ee's satisfies with their beef brisket sandwiches & home made chips,if I'm wanting some dessert I take advantage of their varities of different Fudges they have to offer,if you can't decide which kind you'd like they'll let you sample a few varities,I loved them all but settled on the Resse's PIeces fudge. I also like Jerky so I looked around & noticed the varities they had I picked up some Teriyaki jerky which is my favorite & better then most. When it comes to the merchandise, they offer up a small variety of kitchen spices,beach, outdoor gear & a lot of other merch. ,that various travels may need. When I used the restroom eariler I noticed how there plenty of  spacious stalls available,(Sports stadiums take note) with hand santizer dispencers kept clean & well stocked with toilet paper.     I will be returning to this location again stopping over for gas & various other needs.
