A red power-steering warning light appeared during the sea trial and was explicitly brushed off by the salesperson. After purchase, the steering intermittently failed--an obvious safety risk. An independent mechanic later discovered severe damage to the steering system, including scorched wiring and a failed pump requiring nearly $7,000 in repairs. I was never provided service records despite requesting them. The boat was also delivered with standing water inside the hull, disabling the bilge system. I found this out during pre-checks and then again on the water. The response from sales was dismissive and unacceptable. Communication failures were constant: * Parts "ready" but missing * Conflicting answers from staff * Wasted trips * No follow-through Escalating to the parent company resulted in a call from the GM telling me it was no longer his issue. This was my first boat purchase outside of kayaks. It has been an expensive and deeply disappointing lesson. I am now pursuing formal remedies.

Work was extremely overpriced and unprofessional with tape that was drooping on my heat shielding on my exhaust pipe at pick up and hanging wires I had to secure myself. Within a couple of days of picking it up, I had various electrical lights flashing I had never seen before. I called Carpenter's who offered to install MORE issues for more money. I brought it to the dealership who offered extremely pricey diagnostics and repairs worth more than what the vehicle was worth that would have just "undone Carpenter's damage". Contacted Carpenter's Campers management on this issue, they stone walled me and would not compromise for their damages without proof from dealership. All this with less than a week before my move across the country. I tried to contact a lawyer on short notice but ended up selling my previously perfectly drivable vehicle, with overpriced, DAMAGING work from Carpenter's Campers because I had to move, and I could not move this car safely cross country. Do not trust this dealership. They will damage your property with no shame.

After calling Roadside and waiting over two hours with no call back to confirm a tow, I then called every friend in the area but to no avail. I then think to call Advance and by Gods grace Rodney Calo answers the call. Me nor my mother have ever met Rodney but he went above and beyond, even getting a mechanic friend of his to go out with him to help fix the SUV for my mom so she could make it home before dark. I know that this is not in Rodney's job description but his willingness to go above and beyond his call of duty is the very reason that my family will only shop with Advance Auto Parts. Then finally he got on the phone and told me that he would not replace it when the salesman the day before said that he would and just because I didn't know the salesman's name that I talked to he wouldn't do it. I have my receipt and all. I go to advance alot to get my parts over any other parts store. Not anymore!!! This is not the first bad experience I've had with that particular store.
