This is the worst Buc ee's ever! It gives Buc ee's a bad name! I live in Texas, and usually love Buc ee's, as I write this review, I have been sitting in the parking lot for 15 minutes trying to get out. The people around here are rude. They pump their gas, and then leave their car parked by the tanks, so that nobody else can pump gas while they go in and casually go shopping, then come out with bags full of stuff. Meanwhile, it is next to impossible to get out of this parking lot! Seriously, the Buc ee's corporation needs to look at this place, because it is absolutely horrible! read more

Buc-ees at Gulf Shores on I-10 in Alabama is a mess! 2 rows of gas pumps make it hard to get in and out and a traffic jam.

We were in and out of the store in less than 5 minutes. That was great! The parking lot getting out was a nightmare!! It added an hour to our trip. We will not be back. read more

Bustling as usual. Clean and plentiful bathrooms. Good food, kind masked staff. Can not enforce people to wear kask which sucks because many will not. It is a shame Buccees does not allow for overnight parking. It has such a huge lot and definitely could allow it. They are not a truck stop so they would not have to deal with big rigs. This Buc-ee's needs to do better- or maybe it's the people. It's like Buc-ee's tourism is a thing. this place is a madhouse. The line for the restroom extended through the store! Way too busy. Seem as to no efforts to enforce mask, social distancing, etc. Large amount of traffic.

Love the safety, clean restrooms, but the food items could be better for growing children and adults that don't want to clog their arteries with a few bites of delicious food. The cheese and bread used for a grilled cheese sandwich tasted gross, fake and wasn't edible- we had to throw them away even after discussing with management how gross the sandwiches tasted and how poor the quality was that they should be considered poison. Our children double in size before three years of age and then again before adulthood. The food they eat sets them up for a healthy life or one filled with sickness and illness. No one read more

Worst Buc-ees! The Buc-ees itself is clean and like any other Buc-ees. Getting in or more so out is a complete mess! There is no traffic control! Would of much rather gone to a hole in the wall gas station then come to this Buc-ees again. (Took over an hour to get out of the parking lot!) read more

I've been to Buc-ee's before and it's a great place to grab food and snacks you don't normally find on the road. But I have to say I was really uncomfortable by the extremely high amount of traffic inside and the dense crowd. In this time of social distancing, seeing what appeared to be hundreds of people milling around close to each other- crowded to the point of shoulder to shoulder movement- and almost no one with masks was stressful. There should have been a limit on how many people were allowed in at a time. read more

This is like Love's on steroid. However, this is NOT a truck stop because it doesn't have any services for trucks or semis. They have jerky, dry sausage, sandwiches, fudge, pickled foods, candied nuts, and so on. I would imagine that their sandwiches are the most popular because people always grab them when I go there. If you've read any of my other reviews you'll know that some days I get up, get in my tiny car and just start driving... with no destination. I seriously just enjoy the ride. Saturday was no different, except my daughter decided to ride shotgun! Whoop whoop!! She's a great rider! We headed south this time! We'd heard about Buc-ee's but had never been there so after we'd driven more than three hours we de that we would find this place. It wasn't hard to find after we got on I-10! 10 out of 10 for the location!! As we start to approach the entrance, we noticed that the lot was PACKED! What we noticed as we found a spot to park in is that there are tons of gas pumps. My mercy! I didn't see a sign that showed gas prices. I could have overlooked it while taking in the overall Enormity of it all! This place is HUGE! Once parked, we made our way inside. First things first, y'all! The restrooms were really our first stop. Y'all... I've not even been in a restroom that "serviced" this many people that was this clean! Like for real clean! The set up was awesome! Did I mention how clean it was? Well, I'm case you missed it.. it's clean!! After emerging from the restroom, we were able to kinda come up with a strategy for how we were going to Maneuver through the people so we could look at everything! *If you just want the short "story", scroll down and skip the long story. It won't hurt me feelings. * The layout is perfect! I should have taken a picture or two but I didn't. They had more beef jerky choices than I ever knew existed! We got hubby three different kinds. They have a flavor for every tastebud. It's hard to explain what it looks like so imagine truck stop meets Boutique meets novelty shop meets restaurant meets bakery! Lol!! Yes, I said what I said. We bought mugs, the jerky, dark chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered raisins, a shirt... oh and lunch!! They have the coolest ordering system! I think it's an iPad but anyway, you place your order via this ordering kiosk of which they have many. We placed our order and continued to shop. When our order was ready, they called our number and we went to their pickup window and got our food. They have everything you can imagine to eat! Ours was very tasty! I had a Club sandwich and my daughter had an incredible looking Chicken Caesar wrap. So good!! Once we had our food we headed to checkout. They have several checkout areas so even though the lines look long, it doesn't take long at all! Margaret was out checkout lady! She was awesome!!! Ok.. I said all of that to say this... * Large parking area, fairly easy in and out. * Restrooms cleaner than anywhere else. * They have more jerky, novelty items, candy, fudge and cotton candy than you can shake a stick at. * Probably eight to ten different types of food that can be ordered via a kiosk. * Oh!! They have a coffee area that puts Starbucks to shame. They also have MANY different flavors of Icees! * The employees were all friendly and attentive. * Many cashiers at each exit so your wait time to get out easier. That about wraps it up! If you're down towards the beach, check them out! It was worth the four and a half hour drive down! read more

We love Buc-ee's. Very clean with lots, to eat, drink, and shop. We always stop when we are near .

Great food but it will take you an hour and a half to get out of the parking lot so if you have that time to enjoy the store just remember that you cannot get out back onto the interstate read more

Spent over an hour in a standstill in the parking lot. An embarrassment of an establishment.

They NEED to have a capacity limit. You could not even walk in the store because there was so many people. Even a line to just get out of the bathroom.... was waiting to get a coffee and a worker asked if I was getting an iced coffee, I said yes. and he took my cup away from me and told me I can't get a large cup for coffee. Well how was i supposed to know? There is no signage for people to know that.... Like whatever, I'll get a different size but don't be rude and take the cup from me, better yet, have a sign that lets people know only small and medium cups for coffee to make everyone's life easier. Not a huge issue... but being a travel stop there was sooooo many pumps taken by RVs and Trailers, there really should be a separate pump area for those like at other Buccees. I do appreciate the clean bathrooms and the cashiers keeping the line moving. I've been to plenty of Buccees, busy ones too but nothing like this. read more

My family owns property on Styx river so I'm always in an out of here both day and night. I read some of the other reviews and I'm surprised they had such an awful experience. Out of 100s if times I've been each time has been great. The staff is so nice at the register and I'm surprised since they always keep a smile after dealing with so many people. The bathrooms are always super clean and they are obviously known for that. The drinks, ice and gas are great prices so I'm always going. Amazing place to stop on your way to the beach or even just to get gas. read more

Went there with my husband today, got a couple pulled pork bbq sandwiches, amazing!! Very soft buns, if you like a lot of bbq sauce get extra on side. Friendly people working. Wonderful customer friendliness. Restroom clean. Watch out for the potato chips though because they stack the bottom of the bags with paper to make the bag look full of chips. Also, some of the chips are close to raw. Avoid if possible. The Sandwiches are good but you have to eat in your car. I'm really glad we stopped because the last time we were there I felt rushed by people with whom I was traveling & like I was missing something. Everyone should stop at least once to try Buc-ee's. Very efficient service. I did see people putting bags of sandwiches & bags of their potato chips back to be purchased by someone else. If you have time wait for a Buc-ee's person to place your sandwich & bag of chips fresh. Look in your bag to see if there are many chips on top of the paper too. No way to tell if they are cooked until you get outside though. Very large selection of all sorts of items. Glad we stopped. Done. read more

So, we had to try it. Walmart meets truck stop except no trucks. Filled up the gas...no windshield washing equipment of any kind. Huge selection of foods...no place to sit and eat. Crowded, and this wasn't any kind of holiday traffic. Probably not going back. Nothing we can't live without there. Might be a good stop for a vacationer headed to the beach. read more

Shopped at Buc-ee's on a family vacay and bought a cross body bag and carried it 4 days when I noticed the stitching was coming out. So what does everyone do when something they just bought breaks? I took it back. They refused to refund me or even give me store credit because it was used. I said yeah and I would keep using it to if it wasn't defective. His response was that it was between me and the manufacturer. Isn't it the vendors responsibility to communicate with the manufacturer???? Further more he started to put my receipt in his pocket and I had to ask for it back! When I asked for his bosses name he chose to instead call security on me. I ignored this and asked again for it. So here it is Store at 20403 CR 68 Loxley, AL 36567 Asst. GM, the guy I talked to, Sean Rowley GM is Floyd Freeman He also refused to tell me if this location company owned or franchise owned. Instead only saying it is privately owned. My 12 year old daughter and mother where with me at the time and the Asst. GM were giving them dirty looks too and even followed them to the bathroom!
