I went with the porchetta sandwich. The sandwich comes topped with caramelized onions and pickled banana peppers. Also included on the side are kettle cooked chips topped with a creamy horseradish sauce. The pork was nice and juicy and was a good sized portion. I'm not huge on horseradish but I liked the sauce as I found the flavour to not be overpowering. Overall a great spend for $8.

They were also pretty stingy in portioning the brisket and cheese curds. Brisket I understand but cheese curds too? In addition, the brisket reminded me more of beef jerky - chewy and dry. Pulled pork classic - $2 dollar more than competing trucks but was served with fries. The sandwich was underdressed. The pulled pork was overcooked and tough. The bun was not toasted. Not the worst sandwich but there are just so many better options around! Overall - Urban BBQ is the prime example why I usually frown upon getting foods from food trucks - Overpriced, small portion, mediocre foods.

I have gone to this truck quite a few times in the summer last year and all of my experiences have been great. The design of their food truck is pretty cool and very noticeable (especially with the bright blue). It's got a funky but clean look and a mascot that is playful but not too childish. Every time I catch a glimpse of a bright blue truck parked on the street curb my stomach grumbles with excitement knowing that it might be the large vehicle that carries delicious food that I desire. I'm always surprised that there is never a long lineup, especially since I've heard so many great things about their food. I have never had to wait long at this truck. The service is great, the staff members are always friendly & jovial. I've ordered the calamari pita & chicken gyro (on separate occasions!). They are both VERY LARGE in size and jam packed with savoury goodness so you definitely get your moneys worth...just try not to drop the fillings on the floor while you are eating it! I prefer the calamari pita to the chicken gyro but that is because I am a huge seafood lover. This pita consists of my two favourite appetizers all wrapped up in a deep fried present for my stomach and taste buds: calamari & french fries! (Yes, there are french fries in this wrap.) The calamari rings are breaded and fried to a crispy perfection. The calamari itself was not too chewy or rubbery however the size of the rings makes it awkward to eat it in a wrap. It's definitely a sit down meal not something you can chow down while walking back to your office. The sauce is not the traditional tzatziki sauce that I've had at some typical Mr Greek chain restaurants. It's not as tangy or overly garlicky but it's definitely sweeter. It is still very tasty and a good complement to the salty fried calamari and French fries. The pita itself is quite palatable. I find some flour pitas I've had give off a bitter after taste but this one did not and it appeared as though they were slightly seasoned with a reasonable amount of garlic butter. Note: This pita should be eaten right away; if you hold off the fries will get soggy and will not be as appetizing as a fresh wrap. The chicken gyros was pretty good too. It consisted of french fries, shredded BBQ chicken and some veggie fixings. The chicken was juicy and very well seasoned. The sauce and pita were similar to the calamari pita. A delicious meal but I prefer seafood any day. Overall, 4 stars. The food was delicious and the service was great. I would say the prices are on the same range as other "gourmet" food trucks in Toronto but the portion sizes are substantially larger than what other food trucks are dishing out. I would like to try other things on their menu such as their poutine however every time I have gone to this truck the menu has been very limited. Hope I have better luck this summer!

We opened the food containers and immediately thought the vegetable sides were not enough food for us. We plated the food and proceeded to eat our dinner. The fish entree was really good but the portion was extremely small. We plated our meal on small dishes so the food looks big in the picture when it was much smaller in reality. We definitely would have ordered a third entree and more sides if we would have known the portion sizes. Would we come back? Probably not if we can find something better.

Funnel Cakes?! Low-Carbs? from a cute Food Truck?! Salted Caramel Pecan ($7) with ice cream ($2) was delicious!! A little doughy than my usual Wonderland's funnel cake but I think this version is more interesting! Love the different element: saltiness, nuttiness and not overpowering sweetness from the caramel! The extra crunchiness of the crust was a great contrast to the more doughy interior. Dessert Nachos? S'mores flavour? I need to try that next time!
