Very well-kept grounds and the waterfront views and activities are wonderful features in Central Ohio. 30-40 minutes from Columbus, this has become one of my favorite outdoor locations. You can book available cabins online. Minimum stay is 2 nights. Check in is 4 pm. Check out is 11 am. Cabin is well laid out with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living room, small kitchen, and screen porch. There is heat. Linens are provided but I would suggest bringing your own for comfort. Kitchen has small electric stove, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker. Dishes, pans, utensils, mugs are provided. Cabin had a television with Direct TV which turned out to be a nice surprise once we found a channel showing movies. Great experience renting a cabin for 2 nights. May need to downgrade this review to 2-3 stars if there really were bed bugs though. (Tip: take your own linens and put them directly in a hot clothes dryer for 30 minutes before washing. This will kill the insects)

It's a great place to bring family. My brother and his family. Total occupants: 2 kids under the age of 8, my daughter (17), 4 adults. The master bedroom had a queen sized bed with a small vanity area. One open closet and an iron and board. The second bedroom has a bunk bed and a full mattress on the bottom bunk. Next to that was a twin bed. Also had a vanity and open closet. One bathroom with standing shower, sink, and commode. They provided towels and linens. Each bed had sheets and comforter. Living room had a trundle couch. Flat screen tv with directv. Kitchen had a refrigerator though very small, the stove with an oven, coffeemaker toaster & sink with running water. cabinets had some dishes and pots and pans and utensils. Small table with the bench. Although compact still have all the resources you needed to make a meal. Back porch was screened in with a picnic table. There was also a rocking chair and two other chairs. Outside in the fire pit area was two picnic tables as well. The barbecue was a standard outdoor barbecue pit area. There are a lot of spiders by the door however you were out in the woods. So they weren't invasive at all, however, was scary to look at every time you walk in and out. The weather was nice although it didn't rain it was still comfortable. Lots to do on that trail hike as well really close. There was also play area with swings and a Bocce court. Another thing was that we stayed in a pet friendly cottage. All of the carpets were not perfect, however, they were not smelly at all. Very clean for the location. Would definitely stay there again! We stayed in cottage #12. I would like to try cottage 18 or 19 just because it had a Lakeview. However those may not be pet friendly.

The online…read morereservation site has all the details on lot size, electricity info, distance to showers, etc. However, it's limited in showing different dates, which is frustrating. Anyway, the check-in time is 3pm and check-out is 1pm. We paid fifty-three dollars per night for two adults and one dog, with a six fifty reservation charge. Check-in was easy, and the attendant was helpful; you just drive up to the office, check-in and go on your way. The layout is similar to a subdivision with cul-de-sacs and each spot having its own little yard, making it feel somewhat like camping in the woods. Our neighbors were quiet and most vehicles drove slowly. Everyone we met was pleasant and friendly. The camp itself was clean and easy to hook up. Bathrooms and showers were clean and there was plenty of toilet paper. Large trash bins were available along with gray water stations. The only thing I'd suggest is for the site identifiers to be repainted, as several had faded over time. We visited the beach, but didn't go swimming, given the temperature. The pond is catch and release and seemed maintained and not stagnant. The budget limitations need to be considered before passing judgment. We used bug spray every day and that seemed to help keep the bugs away. The site we booked had a level surface and plenty of room to back in. The water and electrical were easily accessible and worked fine. A lot of campers used an inline water filter. The water quality report is on the park website for anyone interested. The grass was well trodden, making a camp rug a must-have. There was also a fire pit with a grill attached, but we didn't use it to cook. Also, at the time, there wasn't a burn ban. Overall it was an enjoyable experience and we'll definitely return. It was fun to walk down the aisles and see all the setups and decorations and note future camp site options. How many campers are long-timers, it's hard to tell. But we were pleased and our dog loved exploring on our walks.

The staff is wonderful, very helpful and friendly and will go out of their way to help you. They ARE very pet friendly, (we have two cats and a dog) you just have to clean up after your pets and keep them on a leash. The bathrooms are clean and air-conditioned. The grounds are very well maintained and they have pump out service for a small fee (if you get a site that doesn't have septic) and RV service and repair. They installed our new air conditioner and did a fantastic job. They also have fun events here. We will be staying here every time we come to Ohio. Don't be fooled by a poor review. We are adults here and know that a new camper does not get damaged all by itself! We trusted you to do a job professionally and you failed miserably. Yes we are the Bauser's that had the new warranty fridge work done at your so called place of business. Did I say NEW WARRANTY WORK??? Meaning new camper!!! Us as adults are telling you that your service people messes up our camper inside wall from the fridge installation and must I remind you we are the customer! And you call us and tell us your people done nothing and there is nothing you can do about it??? Us being the customer and knowing we have a new product with no problems with our camper when we let you have it to work on it an now we have damaged walls done by your people. Do you understand this now or do I need to say it again? Now I do know personally some others that have had their campers also messed up by your place of business. Does this sound like a rerun to you also hearing if from others who trusted you??? That means that your track record is not real good on messing up campers at your business. I can also send a copy of email to corp Coachman and let them know what kind of business you are running here along with one to the BBB plus plaster a copy on facebook and Yelp. If you don't see us as honest customers of yours I promise you the next person you will hear from will be from the BBB and Coachman. This is a real shame to have to go this way to try and get through to you. I'm also sending a copy of this to some emails of mine so to make forwarding easy to all concerned party's in this. I really don't know why I'm even trying to give you a chance to make this right except this is part of the process. May I also remind you the we have your last phone message to us telling us you are not going to do anything about it. The rest is up to you how this gets handled. And you sir have a great day today.
